I love Provider and the pistachio latte. This time I tried it with oat milk for only a 50 cent up charge. Today was the first time I tried the breakfast sandwich biscuit. The biscuit is handmade and the sausage patty is flavored with fried sage. Devine! While the egg was thoroughly cooked, I heard the staff say the machine wasn't working correctly. That didn't matter it was so good. I'm still thinking about it hours later! read more

This is my second time at Provider coffee and I will be back many times. The service is friendly and nice, ambience on point and outside patio so relaxing. I have gotten coffee both times, but they also offer cocktails. This is a great place to stop right off of the Monan Trail, if you're out biking or walking. I have been stopping in here for coffee refills for awhile now and never paid attention to food or other drink options. I was surprised today to hear someone order a veggie biscuit. They have Quiche, salads, and granola. They have 4 types of wine, Kombucha, cider and beer. The coffee is from Tinker Coffee company and is really really good. I always like finding new coffee shops and I highly recommend checking out Provider if you are also a coffee shop enthusiast. Provider has a huge outdoor seating section. The inside area is very open and has a comfortable atmosphere. There's also many seating options to choose from. They have high top tables, couch seating with tables, and a bar. I decided to sit inside on the couch bench with a table. I asked the barista at Provider what she recommends. She said her favorite was the Ginger Latte and Pistachio Latte. I ordered the Pistachio Latte and I am so glad I did. The Pistachio Latte had a lemon aroma and had a little sweetness with a creamy texture. Very delicious! The service was approachable, personable, and helpful. The barista asked for my name and told me that my drink would take a little longer than usual because of other drink orders. I appreciated her letting me know, so I could sit down and get started on my work. I love Provider's decorations and overall atmosphere. It was cozy and filled with plants. They also serve alcoholic drinks and food. I haven't tried any of their alcoholic beverages, but next time I go in I will give one a try. Their food also looks really good especially the avocado toast. I came for the monthly book club and the turn out was better than expected! Provider doesn't have a large food selection but the drinks are well thought out and handcrafted - both alcohol and coffee beverages. I ordered a daiquiri and it was on ice and very smooth. I came here with a friend on Saturday and we loved it so much we had to come back on Sunday. Initially we were planning on doing homework, but we were unaware that the shop is "laptop-free" on Saturday's from 9-3 and Sundays from 10:30-12:30. Despite this, we ordered and enjoyed our lattes and a chocolate croissant to share! Provider attracts a young and hip crowd, and I loved the decor in the shop. On Saturday around 11, it was a little hard to find a spot to sit but we were able to find one. On Sunday, we got there at 9:30 and it was the perfect time before it got super busy. I used to drive right past this place all of the time. Now, I don't think I'll ever drive by without stopping again. Provider has a stunning interior. If you are someone who likes to do their work in a gorgeous space, this is the place for you. The baristas are friendly and will recommend phenomenal drinks. All the lattes are crafted with an expert flavor palette and do not disappoint! We ordered the pork bahn mi and the gababoul (sandwiches) and they were both phenomenal. The pork on the bahn mi was perfectly flavored and the chef here is a delight to talk to. He's constantly working on new mouthwatering creations that are beautifully balanced. Provider is a phenomenal coffee house. The menu is carefully curated coffee and light bites. The physical space is bright and beautiful and the staff are friendly. I have popped in on several occasions and enjoyed the butterscotch latte and the ginger tumeric latte which are both full bodIed and flavorful. They use Tinker coffee as the base. We had the frittata and breakfast sandwich which are tasty and decent portioned. The seating is limited and this place is almost always packed. In the spring and summer they have a nice patio. I would highly recommend stopping in for a cup or two. read more

This place offers all of the amazingness of coat check coffee on mass ave and then some. It's been in a soft opening phase for a while, serving coffee drinks with baked items (fresh croissants and cookies) and have recently expanded to include unique craft cocktails, beer, and rose wine. A cafe menu including sandwiches, avocado toast and other food items is coming shortly! Following are the reasons why I love this joint; 1.) The staff! They are fantastic. Everyone I have encountered has been incredibly nice and helpful each of the 4 times I have gone to this point. Any questions you have, they are more than happy to answer, and never act annoyed even though they likely get the same questions over and over. I have taken my dogs twice, and without even asking, staff members have brought water bowls out for the dogs and chairs for me to sit outside and enjoy the views, which takes me into my next reason.. 2.) The ambience. The building is old (late 19th/perhaps early 20th century). It's got a rustic, historical but yet contemporary vibe. I love the decor, particularly the plants and neon lights over the bar. Then, the best part, the open garage doors that lead to the enormous patio. Once the patio furniture is added, this patio is going to battle for one of the best in the city. The view of the indy skyline along with monon trail is a much appreciates bonus to my final reason.. 3.) The coffee, drinks, and croissants. Anyone who has ever ventured into coat check knows very well the particularity and passion that goes into each menu item. They have unique coffee items like pistachio latte, along with more mainstream drip and fabulous nitro cold brew. Also, their drink selection is small but unique. Three types of craft beer, a few rose wines and craft cocktails made with with craft spirits such as hotel tango. Order anything from an old fashion to lighter long drinks that are great for the hot weather. read more

This is my neighborhood coffee shop dream come true! They have the same wonderful coffee and croissants as Coat Check Coffee in a beautiful indoor/outdoor space. The inside space fills up fast, but once the patio is up and running, it shouldn't be a problem to find a good spot to post up, even with stroller/child in tow. The extended hours and cocktail menu are a great addition, making this a super versatile spot. Can't wait to come back and try everything! The Provider cafe is a hidden secret that may remain hidden unfortunately. It doesn't come up on my searches for cafes in either Yelp or google apps. :-/ While this is definitely a new hip and trendy place, it does provide some perks but has a few areas that could be improved on. First is trying to find it and park. Located the the heart of a neighborhood revitalization, I probably wouldn't want to stay late or venture out on my own after hours just yet. Still it's in a really cool refurbished factory building. They do have a small parking lot, but it is shared with the two other tenants, so it could be street parking and walking, pending time of day you visit. Now the grub and drinks....no table service, and a bit unclear where exactly I needed to go to order, kind of a mishmash line lingering around the counter. I came half famished having missed breakfast and in a rush between meetings. I was hoping to fill on a warm cup of chai and a half basic turkey sandwich. To my surprise, no chai and minimal menu options. They did offer a delicious substitute for chai with a beautifully warm ginger latte that had a hint of citrus lime. I felt so elegant drinking this! They did have a meat sandwich and vegetarian sandwich, but unfortunately nothing I would have thought as appealing. I'll probably go back to see the changes in the menu. All in all, still a nice friendly place to hangout or meet up with friends. read more

Great vibe with friendly staff and fun beverages. Visited Provider randomly one night when a friend and I wanted to find a cafe to talk in a chill environment. Luckily and thanks to Yelp's recommendation, came across Provider which was both 1) Nearby & Open, and 2) Had high marks on Yelp. Though it was a bit hard to find given there are no major signs off 16th street, we eventually entered Provider and were welcomed to live DJ music and causal fun vibe. My friend and I, not wanting to drink, order their Thai Chai Latte. Wow! The aroma of the Kaffir lime permeated through the creamy latte, lighting up my surroundings and lifting up my spirits. I must have smelled that beautiful kaffir lime peel that came with the latte at least 20 times, such a great accompaniment. Will definitely be checking out Provider again in the near future. read more

This is the companion shop to Coat Check Coffee. It is located in Tinker House. It has such a relaxing and chill feel to it. There are a ton of different seating options including a outdoor patio. And the natural lighting that comes in is so warm and relaxing. They are still in their soft opening period so their menu isn't complete yet but it has some of the same great drinks and people from Coat Check. Seriously check it out.  Just as lovely as Coat Check coffee, same great staff and coffee but added bonuses of spirits and a beautifully lit space. Sitting inside of TInker House its an awesome spot right off the monon trail. read more

I love this coffee spot! Talk about Instagram worthy... every inch is beautiful. It's open and industrial. It makes you want to cozy up and hand out a while. The location is in Tinker House. The upstairs is an event space. Parking is also plentiful (and free). Their coffee list isn't too overwhelming but gives a great assortment. You can also choose oat or cashew milk if you so choose. Cool vibe and great drinks. My girlfriends and I were wanting to go somewhere after dinner and saw that Provider was open until 11 pm. We also saw that they offered coffee, lattes and cocktails which was even better! We got there around 9 pm and grabbed the last spot in the parking lot. I'd say parking is somewhat limited but it was also dark so I couldn't see the parking situation around the building. I loved the mood lighting as soon as we walked in, including the pink neon sign above the bar. I also loved the hanging plants throughout. None of us wanted a drink with alcohol so I can't speak the the options since I didn't even look at that menu. However, all of the lattes we got were absolutely delicious. I opted for a decaf butterscotch with their house made cashew milk. I was blown away. One of the best lattes I've ever had. I tried the the chocolate latte my friend got and it was like an upgraded version of chocolate milk. Since I subbed for cashew milk and left a tip, my bill was around $9. Yes, it's more than an average latte at Starbucks but it's SO much better. Worth every penny. I will absolutely be back to try more off of both their cafe and cocktail menus. It's way too packed but the way they go about freeing up space is not the right way. Instead of opening up the second floor when it's not reserved, they ban laptops and make people purchase things in order to stay. This is quite frankly one of my favorite coffee places that I have found in Indy to read and work at. It's usually never busy and having a parking lot is a huge plus. So far, I've tried their chocolate latte, butterscotch latte, and pistachio latte. All of which have been fantastic! My only gripe, is that they only have a few outlets (a few awkwardly placed against the back wall and a few under the high-top tables). Provider, the name says it all. They have such a wonderful look inside. My first experience I realized that they are part of "Coat Check Coffee" which is located in Indianapolis as well. I tried their Hibiscus Ginger Drink, it was wonderful. The ginger gave you the much needed tingle. And it was very refreshing. I would recommend this. They also have great beer on tap, and you get a great deal with a Pint and shot of tequila. Overall it as a unique expirence and I will be back! read more

By far one of my favorite coffee shops -- well post-Thirsty Scholar. I have been here a couple times, but now that it is fall weather I will be a visiting this place more often. I enjoy their atmosphere and delicious lattes. I always get the matcha green tea latte. I have been here in a couple times to so some work. They offer free wifi and charging stations that makes it ideal for a study place. It is moderate loud, but still a place where you can get work done. They decor is a nice and simple modern environment. On Wednesday, I actually was here for a Sofar event in their upstairs venue that is popular for weddings and large events. Sofar had their Halloween theme event. I had fun watching Stoney the Poet, Black Market Vinyl, and Bernie and the Wolf. Each of these artists brought a unique sound to the event from poetry + hip pop to straight up rock. I loved Black Market Vinyl the most due to their kick ass rock sounds and funny Halloween songs. I enjoyed Bernie and the Wolf's Deftones song cover "Change (In the House of Flies), it was great!!! Highly recommend Sofar events to learn and appreciate in an intimate setting indie/local artist. Really love the atmosphere of this place. It has such a cool vibe that's hard to capture. There is tons of seating and a decent amount of outlets if you're looking to get work done. They have both coffee and cocktails and are open past most local coffee shops which I love! Definitely a new favorite. Got a glass of the rosé (a little expensive for the size of the pour, at $10 a glass) and it was delish. Truly a beautiful space and one of my new favorite spots! read more

This is a must-do spot for coffee and cocktails in Indianapolis! We came in on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving for pre-dinner cocktails and they did not disappoint! I tried the French 75, which was very light and refreshing. In fact, we all got different cocktails and everyone LOVED their choice. We were so surprised to know that the interior decorating wasn't done by a professional -- this place is in my top 5 best places for ambiance in Indianapolis! Such a fun spot to bring out of town guests or anyone who has any doubt that Indy is as hip, young, and cool a city as any! Two things make this a standout coffee shop : 1.) For their lattes, they shake them like bartenders do to get them to the right temp AND they measure their ingredients in a jigger. I'm not sure why every coffee shop doesn't do this, but here we are. As a result, the lattes are consistently excellent. Though, like every other place in Indy, their mocha is too sweet by far. 2.) The rhizomatic ginger soda is an absolute revelation. House made ginger syrup, soda, and chilé powder sprinkled on top. It's a unexpected combo of flavors that super refreshing. After seeing the menu pictures online I was really excited for this place being vegan and gluten free but got here to discover they only really cater to the "mock meat" type of vegans with their breakfast sandwiches, their granola has gluten in it. Used to have avocado toast with gluten free bread option but no longer have it. They were out of matcha powder on a Saturday morning. I ordered a golden milk which turned out to be like 1/4 cup of syrup, steamed milk, and hibiscus powder does not taste like tumeric or ginger at all tastes more like hot left over milk from your morning fruit loops cereal which is cool if that's the vibe you're looking for. read more

Simply put, this is my favorite coffee in Indy. The house-made syrups compliment the high-quality espresso in a delicate balance.

I am a huge fan of the sea salt latte with chocolate croissant at Provider and the chill atmosphere they have provided. Even at 9:30 on a Thursday it can be hard to find a place to sit because this place is so great! They have two menus: there's a coffee and day menu that most people use to supplement their reading/writing/solo time as well as an alcohol and evening menu that can get your night started the right way.
