Spinach Bagel with bacon scallion cream cheese

We like Providence Bagel and follow their social media for their weekend specials because they are always unique and interesting. This was our first time to the Attleboro location and we found the service similar to the other locations - friendly and efficient. We typically use the drive through, and while sometimes there's a short wait for our order (depending on what we are ordering) it's usually never more than a few minutes and that's okay with us, because we know our order is being freshly made.

Place feels depressing upon walking in. Bagels are flat. Coffee is watered down and the breakfast sandwich I got is a joke. It's a half an egg. The fact I was served this and charged $18 for sandwich and coffee is laughable

Came here late morning for a bagel. It wasn't busy, and there were about three employees excitedly waiting to take our order. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel with strawberry cream cheese. It was good, probably not the best bagel I ever had but still good. The coffee was fine too! I liked that the bagels were sliced in half both ways for ease of eating. The only complaint is that it was very expensive for two bagels and cream cheese with coffee. But they do have a large parking lot and a drive thru, so perhaps you are paying for convenience...

    Moldy bagel

Came to this location looking forward to my bagel. When I got it and took one bite out of it I noticed it was full of mold and very visible. When I called location they didn't seem to care. Will not be returning

Did the drive through for Providence Bagel at the Attleboro location. Couldn't believe the size of the hole in the bagel when I got home. Why would you even sell a bagel like this, let alone charge full price? The final insult was it was hard as a rock. Won't be back.

Day old bagels, never saw this at the other locations before!

This is a reminder for myself: Amanda you don't like the coffee it has 0 flavor and the bagels and sandwiches really are great but you're gonna be waiting FOREVER for even one sandwich. Unless you're eating here and socializing, go elsewhere.

I used to really like Providence Bagel, but like many of the reviews state, they never seem to get orders correct. I have ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese before only to arrive at work with a bacon egg and cheese. Like I'll still eat it because I need to eat, but it's never what I asked for. Today, I went in and ordered the Brown Bear. I drove all the way to work only to find out that most of the avocado in my sandwich is black and there was a weird brown rock thing (not the pit of the avocado) in there too. Needless to say I lost my appetite and probably will find somewhere else to go.

For 4.99 I would expect more egg on a plain egg and cheese sandwich. Had been wanting to try but likely to not go back again. With no one in line on a Friday morning you could at least do a quality check.

I waited 10 minutes for an employee to come up front and acknowledge me and the bagels taste like a rubber glove. Don't recommend.

The line goes really fast. Doesn't matter how many people I got mine. This one was five people had me. I don't even think I was seven minutes in line waiting to get all the orders and they get my stuff and they could sit and relax while I wait to go to another appointment in a few minutes. The cream cheese is freshly made in house for all the time. I got a really good cinnamon crunch bagel with a bacon, horseradish cream cheese, which is like my favorite combo. It was delicious lots of bacon in the cream cheese and just a touch of spice from the horseradish was really good. Brought the hubby home a garlic bagel, which is his favorite. He'll have that for breakfast tomorrow. I like it. It's always quiet even when there's a lot of customers here. I'm in this morning. It was only like eight of us in the dining room and the only person making noise was a little child at this table over playing with a toy other than that was quiet and the walls are nice and clean the pictures. Look really refreshing and delicious. Just an amazing experience love coming here. Little tiny shop on route one in a strip mall with only a hairdresser next-door, but lots of parking.

After seeing maven's delicatessen on Instagram, I had to come here…read more It was a blistering hot day out, and I walked into a pleasantly air-conditioned establishment. Loved the atmosphere and the place was spotless. One of the waitresses seated us asked us if we'd like a drink and pickles with coleslaw. We said yes pickles were great. Coleslaw was very vinegary. Was not a fan of that. We both ordered half a pound of pastrami sandwiches with Swiss cheese and mustard. The pastrami was very lean and sliced very thin and that was good. But I found the pastrami lacking in flavor. I think I was expecting pastrami like they sell at Katz's deli or the old now closed Carnegie's in New York. Would come back to try other things.

To be clear, the food isn't bad. It's perfectly edible. The problem is that it's also remarkably average, especially considering the prices they're charging. Nothing I've ordered has made me think, "I can't wait to come back for that." It's just...fine. We actually visited during opening weekend, and it was a bit of a mess. They ran out of pastrami, which is a pretty big problem for a deli that was generating so much excitement. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because opening weekends can be chaotic. Since then, we've been back several times hoping things would improve, but the experience has been largely the same. The biggest issue, aside from the food being average, is the service. It's consistently slow. I can understand waiting when a restaurant is packed, but we've experienced long waits even when there were very few customers inside. It feels like everything moves at half speed, and that's been true on multiple visits. I also think they're trying a little too hard to be Katz's Delicatessen. That's an incredibly high bar, and instead of trying to recreate that experience, I'd rather see them focus on becoming the best version of themselves. Right now, it feels like the ambition exceeds the execution. The one thing I will gladly compliment is the bagels. They've been excellent every time we've ordered them, and honestly, they're probably the strongest item on the menu. I do think there's plenty of room for improvement, which is why I'm giving two stars instead of one. There's clearly potential here, and I genuinely hope they find their footing because I'd love to have another great deli in the area. We'll probably give them another chance down the road, and I hope I can come back and update this review with a much more positive experience.
