Birthday breakfast with my sister, brother in law and niece. I love the space. It is open colorful, fun. You sit anywhere, order at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. My shrimp and grits were good, the gravy is delicious. The texture of my shrimp was a little off. My niece had the Pim Kim toast and my sister had the Pim Kim taquitos, they both enjoyed their food. My brother in law had one of the chicken sandwiches and the smashed potatoes. I did not taste the sandwich but he was gracious and let us taste the potatoes, they were delicious. I can't wait to come back to try more. Great addition to the community. read more

This place definitely doesn't feel like it sits in Kennedy Heights/Silverton because it has a super cute, bright and upbeat vibe. I got a dirty chai on a cloudy Tuesday and I was glad I stopped in. Parking is across the street but the short walk was worth it. I'm glad I brought my laptop because the environment is inviting and great for the remote worker needing a change of scenery. read more

I enjoyed my first visit to Proud Hound so much that I came back a second time with my husband 3 days later! My first visit I stopped by mid morning on a weekday on my way to work. I got an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant. The barista was very friendly and my drink came up quickly. The overall vibe of the place was laid back and chill. They had good music on and the majority of the other patrons were working on their laptops. I highly recommend coming here for all around good vibes. The next visit was early afternoon on a Saturday. They were busy, but we were easily able to find somewhere to sit. I appreciate that they have carafes of water available to bring to your table. I tried a Goetta breakfast sandwich that was an insane combination of flavors, it had a bit too much mustard for my taste but it was overall really good. My husband tried the Nashville hot chicken biscuit sandwich that he said was delicious. We will definitely be back and I especially want to come on a weekend night for burgers and beer. read more

TL;DR = go. Now. Eat all the things I have been wanting to try this for some time so after missing the shop small Saturday specials, we came on Sunday at the absolute busiest time - even with the line to place your order going almost out onto the street we ordered, ate, chatted, and were back in our way in about an hour and a half. After ordering we watched the line dissipate and tables open up. The space is adorable - modern and cozy! I saw someone say it was the hipsterest of coffee shops they'd been in but I can name at least four places that better fit that category. Though the chairs look super cute, I'm annoyed there isn't a back on some of them to put my coat. However, any slight amount of annoyance I might have felt melted away with the first sip of my dirty chai. And I say with confidence I've never had a better grilled cheese. It was divine. DIVINE! The layers of taste and texture and just everything about it - incredible. Tried the chicken and waffles too and it was a dance between savory and sweet that I very much appreciated. The waffles are more savory than sweet but paired with the chicken and drizzled with syrup made for a lovely brunch dish. A very lovely experience and I'm excited to go back, though probably for a late lunch. read more

I'm was on the hunt for a biscuit breakfast sandwich so I stoped by proud hound. I got an iced vanilla latte, it wasnt very impressive and when asking what other flavors were available the person taking the order said it's on the menu. Sorry we didn't see the flavors because they were listed with the milk options. Also there were only two other flavors. Onto the food... the nashi nati was good, not too hot. The biscuits were fluffy and not dry. The basic was good but the sausage was not my favorite, I would get the goetta next time. My favorite was the sausage gravy. It's the best I have found in Ohio and was very impressed! I highly suggest getting it to dip your breakfast sandwich in. read more

i've been here a couple times and it's always busy but there's plenty of seating which is always really nice so you don't have to worry about that! i tried an iced blue matcha with oat milk last time i went and it was SO GOOD!! not sure if this was the right comparison but to me it kind of reminded me of fruit loops? i also have gotten a hot latte and i enjoyed that also! definitely a cute little coffee shop and they also have parking across the street at the light which isn't too far if you are trying to find somewhere to park! read more

I had passed by Proud Hound a few times in the area but had not had a chance to stop yet. When I walked in this last Saturday, I was blown away by the look and feel. This is not your average coffee shop! The decor is like a modern millennial diner with a long counter, booths, and assorted seating. Many people looked to be hanging out and working vs. a grab and go situation. I was impressed with how spaced out the tables were if you are concerned about COVID protocol. The iced coffee was good, and I couldn't resist ordering the hot chicken sandwich which was good. I will be back to try more: the barista mentioned they have plans to do housemade syrups and other drink specialities as they get more up and running. The blue matcha is so yummy!! Also I feel like not a lot of coffee shops in the area actually offer it. I also tried the danish and chocolate croissant and both were great. My friend loved the cold brew and it was even yummy with no creamer or sugar in it as well. The service was also very quick even though the line was almost out the door. read more

The Proud Hound is a recent and welcome addition to the evolving Silverton restaurant and brewing scene. More akin to a west coast type coffee house the food here is quite good and the coffee is excellent. We had the biscuits and gravy with eggs and coffee. Yum. I look forward to trying other items. Service was quick which was good considering the size of the Sunday morning crowd. Cool place. Limited parking. Clean restrooms. Recommend. read more

This place is my favorite coffee shop in Cincinnati. The interior design is unique and charming. Their drink menu has a ton of variety and offers unique coffees/ teas/ lattes that you can't get at any other coffee shops in the area. Even my friends who don't like coffee have found something to enjoy! They also have incredible food (my personal fave is the Cincinnati Love Letter and side of potatoes, but can't go wrong with anything), and their kitchen is in the center of the coffee shop so you can see the food being made, which is always fun. Plenty of seating and outlets, nice staff... overall, 10/10! The only difficulty is parking - sometimes that can be hard to snag but between the street and lot down the road, I've always been able to find something. Highly recommend! read more

Proud Hound is one of my favorite coffee shops in Cincy! I love their vanilla cold brew and lattes. You cannot go wrong with their classic drip too! What an absolutely fabulous and unique menu! My daughter and I stopped in for coffee-- really good coffee- and we tried the Bananas Foster Grilled Cheese and Grit Tots! The Bananas Foster Grilled Cheese was FANTASTIC-- such a unique combination with the bananas- cheese and ORANGE MARMALADE which was a surprise taste! Lots of seating. Food is made to order and very, very good. Service was quick. It was very busy but the combination of indoor and outdoor seating helped. The place itself has an open feel and is aesthetically pleasing. My friends and I went on opening day, and as expected, it was VERY busy. With that being said, staff were doing their best to meet the demand of orders. The sandwiches were definitely worth the wait, they were seasoned perfectly and tasted so fresh! Good food, really nice staff. Prices are a little high, and it's an interesting choice to not turn WiFi on until 1pm on weekends. I used a hotspot, but I probably would not have visited had I been aware of that policy. Obviously that's not a dealbreaker for everyone! But I enjoy taking an hour in the mornings to answer emails with a nice drink, so somewhere else would be a better fit for me. read more

Finally checked out this place for lunch. First off, it is huge and beautiful inside. We loved the colors, graphic wall art, and atmosphere. Having never been before, we let the person at the front know. He was so kind and went over the entire food menu with us. My husband got the Cincinnati Love Letter and I got the Good Cluckin' Morning. It was delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I've only had the chance to drop in one time to grab a cup of coffee to go. The coffee was very nice. I realized later that I actually had bought a bag of proud hound beans from Market Wagon...assuming it's the same place! So for the coffee and atmosphere I'm giving 5 stars. Very good coffee. Chai Tea latte was good, my sister said their espresso was a little strong for a latte. Not very wide flavor selection, but very tasty anyways. Prices are pretty average. The inside is very cute and very spacious, doesn't have as much seating as it looks like it does. read more

My FAVORITE breakfast place. Not too far from UCBA campus. I had the pumpkin toast off their fall menu and oat milk matcha latte. Delicious but I will say it's sweet, I went up on orders a side of eggs to give me a bit more savory and my meal was perfect, and it came out not too long after order so I could eat it all together. My friends had 2 of their grit meals and they were also great. Highly recommend. Staff were friendly and willing to discuss the menu. read more

This place is a gem in Silverton. I'm glad to hear they're upping their outside appearance so that it's more obviously coffee shop than dog pound. The coffee was delish. Got a latte w oat milk. Husb got the Mary Mary Rosemary specialty cappuccino. Both were yummy. Bought some roasted beans to bring home - Honduran Finca el Jabonillo. Can't wait to do a pour over tomorrow morn. Service was excellent. Enjoyed chatting with barista David - very personable and a delight to get to know. We will definitely be back for food. Looking forward to fri/sat night burgers, fries + beer/wine. read more

Hidden Gem!!! Literally…read more So, your GPS/Waze will get you there but your eyes and brain will be lost. This is because it is literally inside the HighGrain Brentwood BrewPub. Once you've found HighGrain, park in the parking lot and go inside. You walk in and La Terza is immediately on your left. When you walk in, you can go up to the counter and check out the menu. Just hit the little doorbell on the counter if nobody is there when you arrive. They'll show up quickly. You'll also likely notice the coffee's that they currently have "on tap", if you will. They put the bags out front so you know what you're ordering. You can choose from one of their straight up cups of coffee to espresso or latte's, iced or hot. During this visit I selected a small black coffee and an iced vanilla latte. The black coffee was a Costa Rica bean that was bold and robust with flavor. I really enjoyed this. The vanilla latte was not sweet at all. So, if you're looking for something a little sweeter, I'd ask for it to be sweetened or possibly go with the caramel latte, as that was a little sweeter. They do roast their beans on-site. I was going to take a walk over there but the door was closed once I got my coffee order. I did buy a bag of their whole Peru sourced beans that I'm very much looking forward to grinding up and French pressing to perfection. Combined with HighGrain, there is a lot of space to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have a small bakery cabinet to check out and order from as well. I can only assume that the coffee shop and brewery work together, so you may be able to order food from HighGrain and have your coffee too. Would I go back? 100%. I'm looking forward to trying the beans that I purchased. If they're as good as the coffee that I had in-store, La Terza will be on my list of local places to get my beans from.

He took 30 minutes out of his day to answer some questions for me when I am just a random guy. This place has amazing coffee and a passionate and knowledgeable staff! Honestly if there is something negative to say I can't find it. 11/10 will always buy again!
