This location has a drive thru and shared parking in a plaza for walk in visitors. I went mid morning on a Saturday and they were busy both inside and at the drive thru. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is very cute and well decorated. Even with a lot of people, it still felt open[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Lots of great options on the menu for coffee and tea with a separate seasonal menu. The service was friendly. I love that this is a woman owned business and uses no preservatives and makes lots of their own syrups. I decided to try the pumpkin white chocolate latte with almond milk. I had a short wait and grabbed my drink to head out. Sadly, the flavor was a little off for me and I felt like I was getting hints of lavender which I am not a fan of. Recently popped into CAVU Coffee for the first time and had a great experience. The staff were SUPER nice and helpful. I ordered a matcha, a pumpkin chai, a cinnamon rooibos latte, a grapefruit refresher, and a gluten free maple cinnamon doughnut. Everything was really good. The roobois latte was the best of the drinks. I was excited to try it as I am always looking for a good tea latte and I hadn't had this one before. The doughnut was super tasty and moist. I absolutely love CAVU! I've been coming here for a few years now and when they are on they are the best coffee shop in the area. So why not 5 stars? Inconsistency. For example, my wife and I usually get the CAVU Carmel and a second drink when we go. In most cases both drinks are delicious but sadly some baristas can't seem to get the ratios right and the drinks end up being just ok. There are times that the CAVU Carmel is the best coffee in Cincy but in some instances it's simply not good and this is their signature drink. This place is special and deserves more love for the fact that so much of their stuff is made in house. Even if you don't typically get oat milk you owe it to yourself to try theirs. If I can urge you to try one thing here it would be the Pistachio Honey Affogato. The ice cream is made in house and the honey is locally sourced. read more

She was extremely informative and friendly during our order process. They have plenty of options to choose from. Prices were a little on the higher end for Iced Coffee, but it was very good! Looking for a milk alternative? Try their homemade Oat Milk! That is a little bit on the higher end though too from most places at $1. Being homemade though is a little bit more understandable! It seems most of their menu is all made in house fresh. They have a few food options and from the menu it looked like they were very Keto friendly too. They have a drive thru and a few seating options inside and quite a few tables right out front. Plenty of parking right out front and not super congested with the drive thru. Adored this place. I wish I lived closer. Staff was friendly, and the vibe was easy. The airplane/sky theme is carried throughout with a beautiful blue color scheme and graphics to match. Really nice staff and quick service, but the mocha was bland and watery. I had a cherry mocha with oat milk and was unfortunately not in love with the drink. I think I am just not a fan of whatever oat milk they use so the whole drink tasted a bit watery. It's been a while since I've come here, but I came back this afternoon (I had good memories of it ~6 years ago) and was somewhat underwhelmed. The ambiance is charming and the service was quick/friendly, but the coffee wasn't great and a bit overpriced... Both of our lattes were ~$7 each pre-tip but the flavors were so strong/sweet we couldn't even finish them. I do admit, however, that I can be a bit of a coffee snob, so maybe it just wasn't for me. I was also thrown off at how the latte in the ceramic mug didn't have any foam art -- usually I'm okay with paying $8 for a coffee if it looks visually appealing and tastes amazing, but that wasn't my experience here. They did seem to have a great pastry selection, so I'll have to come back to try that. It seemed to be a great place to read or get work done, but if you're wanting to enjoy quality specialty coffee, I'd recommend somewhere else. read more

Let's put it this way: there's a very busy Starbucks literally right across the parking lot from Cavu coffee (it's back faces Cavu's storefront), but Cavu still seems to thrive because people like you and me know it's better. All of their syrups are made in house and you really can taste the difference. Fair warning: you'll pay for the difference too but I think it's worth it. They even have some of their syrups available for purchase. My favorite is the Cavu Caramel latte. There is fresh orange zest in it and omgnss it is so delicious. I also love their kitty Kat and lavender latte. The monte Christo breakfast sandwich is a great twist on two classic sandwiches and I would highly recommend that as well. There's some outdoor seating but it is full sun, and there's inside too. The inside seating is great for conversation but a little cramped for pulling out your laptop. read more

I ordered a London Fog, and while I love that they served it in a mug, I was disappointed they didn't leave the tea hag in it because that's what really makes the taste! Super cute spot! My husband, toddler, and I dropped in randomly since we had an hour to kill and it's great! Everything is made without artificial flavors, colors, corn syrup, or preservatives. Looks like all their syrups and sauces are homemade - and they have super unique combinations. Along with the classics. Also - there's a cart full of wooden toys for kids to play with. I was so impressed with Cavu Coffee! I stopped in midday and it was fairly quiet. The inside is warm and cozy with bar seating, tables, and couches if youd like to post up and do some work. I would a million times over rather come here than Starbucks across the way to hang out. I was instantly greeted and took a little time to browse the large menu and goodies in the case. I saw pistachio honey and got excited because I love pistachio so quickly ordered. I realized after that it was an affogato I ordred (Ice cream with espresso pour over). Alright, ill roll with it. Its just pouring rain and cold out, and I had envisioned a large soothingly warm drink. Despite my snafu, I thoroughly enjoyed the item. The espresso flavor was rich and the pistachios were generous. It was not overly sweet which is perfect for me. There were so many other great unique drinks on the menu, I cannot wait to come back and order more. There is a case of yummy looking baked goods, as well as items to purchase for gifts or to take home. Bonus, they have a drive thru if youre in a hurry, but the inside is so nice, id recommend doing that first if you have time. read more

First off, if I were to rate Cavu on service alone, it would be 5 stars. The interactions, especially in store, are genuine and sincere. But, after experiencing Cavu in store and drive thru, I am kind of disappointed! The drinks I've ordered have been underwhelming, it's basically impossible to taste the flavors used in the drinks. Yes, it's awesome they make many of their own things, and use local honey, but if honey, cinnamon, vanilla, or lavender was in a drink, you think you'd be able to at least detect these flavors, right? I could not..at all. The only thing I could taste is that macadamia milk is not for me...yuck. Also, they need more seating/expand their space, which can be perceived as a good problem to have. If you go here to work on your computer, like I did, you may have trouble finding a spot, let alone one with enough space to work. I want their very pricy drinks to be better, since I like their vibe. read more

Preface: I usually diss strip-mall coffee shops and I'm not a huge fan of the suburbs (i.e Mason). That being said: WOW. The paleo/GF- donuts are absolutely spectacular. If you're used to GF treats being dry and tasteless you will definitely enjoy these: they were basically circular, moist cakes with creamy whipped icing. I'd come back just for these! They are a MUST! The inside of Cavu is super sleek - clean, white walls, comfy leather furniture, it's someplace I would have lounged a bit with more time. They have a great seasonal menu (with all syrups made in-house). I got the blackberry iced dark chocolate mocha - the syrup was subtle and not overly sweet: perfection. It's a bit sad most people will see the Starbucks on the corner and not venture in a bit to check out Cavu. They even have a drive thru.
