Great customer service. Lance did an awesome job troubleshooting my problem. I should have contacted them first before buying a new salt generator. Would hire them again in a minute. Thanks Lance. read more

For years when a pool issue arose, we just called the company that built the pool many years ago. But a couple of years back we had a problem with the variable speed pump they had installed to replace the original pump. The tech that came out told us the only thing we could do was replace the pump. That didn't make sense to me because the pump was running, just not at the speed necessary to do the job. I called ProTouch and Lance came out and discovered that the pump had not been properly connected to the controller, that the way it was wired caused it to operate at only one speed and also caused a relay in the controller to burn out. He rewired the connection using a previously unused relay and the pump has worked fine ever since. Whenever a problem arises, I call Lance and he takes care of it at a reasonable price. He has even talked me through adjusting the valve settings over the phone for an immediate fix. Very knowledgeable and very responsive! read more

Feel like getting taken advantage of when having a pool light installed? Call now! Word of advice: buy the light online, install it yourself because it's simple (watch a YouTube video if you have to), then call an electrician to wire it if needed ($80). I'm a fool for not doing this myself. read more

Highly recommend. They came the same day I called, did a great job servicing my pool and gettin the system running great.

Kevin is the man. Called on a Saturday to come fix my pool heater. He actually took the time to walk me through over the phone and get my heater up and running. No charge. This is the way a business should be ran. I will 1000% use him for any of my pool or spa needs in the future, we will pay of course ;) read more

I was expecting this process to be a whole lot more complicated than it actually was. Lance kept it real on what I needed (vs. what I thought I needed) and got my pool up and running on time and on budget. Highly recommend. read more

My pump went out. Lance & Kevin talked me through a lot over the phone. Texted them some pictures and got quotes from them. New pump was installed efficiently at very competitive price. Very knowledgeable guys. Lance even arranged Pentair to come out to update the software on my control panel (fast). Thanks to both Lance & Kevin that my pool is now up and running again in time for the summer. read more

After 30 years, Mom decides she wants to install a pool heater that will actually warm her water enough for her to swim. So, after getting several estimates and recommendations (including solar, which wouldn't give her the warmth she needs), we called Protouch Pool Services last week Monday, and they installed a beautiful, smaller footprint, faster heating, and most importantly-easy to operate, Jandy Gas Pool Heater 4 day's later! Greg was our installer, and he did a beautiful job, then explained how easy it is to use. Thank you Protouch Pools! We should have done this years ago!!!!! read more

Great service and quick response. Had a few pool equipment problems and Lance came out. He was very knowledgeable and fixed an electrical and pool heater problem in very little time. He also taught me a few new things about my system which I really appreciated. Would definitely use them next time. read more

Called and explained the delay in communication. I understand that everyone is busy even though I will not have a chance to work with them I still want to change my review. read more

Great work on installing a new pool pump and updating the control system. Very responsive.

Pro Touch Owner Operator "Kevin" returned my call promptly on a SATURDAY morning and walked me through how to repair the minor glitche with my pool pump. It worked. He didnt charge me a dime even though I insisted he let me pay him something. Truly a stand out after getting ripped off by Aqua Pools in Rancho Bernardo. I'm only calling ProTouch Pool Services in the future for all my pool service needs. Impressive!!!! read more

Absolutely outstanding. Our heater stopped working and I called ProTouch after hours to schedule a service call. The main guy called me back in 10 minutes, got the basic info, and scheduled to Service Technician to call me the next day to schedule a service call. The Service Technician contacted later that evening and said he'd call 1st thing the next morning. The Service Technician called me 1st thing the next day, said he could be there within 30 minutes. He texted me 20 minutes later to say he was here. He troubleshooted the problem and fixed it in less than 20 minutes, and we're back in business. Knowledgeable, friendly, excellent communication and ultimately OUTSTANDING service. read more

These guys were great! fast and excellent work. I had last min plans requiring me to leave town and all work was completed with care. Everything looks and works great. The area was cleaned up nicely and you couldn't even tell they were there. I definitely recommend. Brandon read more

Kevin and Protouch are excellent. Extremely helpful and informative. Helped me with a pool drain, chlorine wash and restart, providing top-notch service. I'll be back. read more

Our old pool pump went out on Saturday. We called that morning and spoke with Glenn. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me an estimate that day. We talked over the project on Sunday and when I was confident that I had the right team selling me the right system, I approved the quote. Tuesday morning Greg came out to install the new Pentair energy efficient pump and Pentair Easytouch Lite with ScreenLogic 2 to control the system. We have wanted this system for a while after accidentally heating the pool a couple of times with the old fashion control knobs. Greg was really nice and walked us through everything. He left the job site cleaner than when he arrived. That's a step that often gets skipped be tradesmen these days. Anyways, we love the new system and we are confident that we will no longer be heating the pool on accident. read more

I recently had my pool heater go out and Pro Touch sent out their technician with a new heater to do the installation. Greg did an awesome job and Glen helped me schedule it which went very smooth. I am now ordering more equipment and I would highly recommend them. Professional knowledgeable and in my opinion the best pool service company in San Diego County. Btw the office can email you a quote and the invoice which can be paid by cc online. Great customer service ! Thank you Pro Touch. read more

My pool heater wasn't working so I called to ask if someone could look at it ASAP because I wanted to use it that weekend. They came out, diagnosed the problem, drove to a store to get a replacement part, and fixed it. And all of that happened within two days. Outstanding customer service for someone who is a new customer. read more

I can't say enough about this awesome company!!!! Our jacuzzi had not been working for the last 5 years. At that time we had another company come out and they told us it would be 3K to fix it. So we just left it until now. ProTouch just came out and was able to trouble shoot the problem quickly!!!! And ended up costing us WAY less. They know what they are doing!! Hire these people. My only regret is that I didn't find them 5 years ago. read more

I called Kevin to see if they repair above ground hot tubs. He said that they don't normally, but then gave me a bunch of suggestions and recommendations of other people to call. He was super friendly and helpful, especially when he knew he wasn't getting new business. That's pretty atypical and much appreciated! read more

This review is just about how responsive and helpful Kevin was even though he couldn't do what I was looking for. Instead of saying a simple no he found someone for me to help me with that service. Thanks You! read more

ProTouch, are the very best, they contacted me quickly and Lance from north San Diego county followed up promptly to the set apt. Set heads up text prior to his arrival and was on site five minutes early. He fixed my pool lights and went above and beyond to make sure the lights all worked and ensured that the electrical components where safe for my family. He then turned his expertise to fixing my Pentair heater, that three other pool repair companies gave up on and still charged service charges for their time. Lance rapidly trouble shot the many issues of the unit, broken wires, rodent issues and wrong/counter loaded pool commands for the one touch controller. He repaired all the hard wire issues, cleared all errors between the Pentair heater and the one touch controller that the previous so called pool technicians had entered incorrectly into the system. The pump now will save us money and the jacuzzi has a much better pressure/controlled heat, great job. The price was more than reasonable and I will recommend this company to all my friends and call ProTouch/Lance on all my future pool issues. Thanks Lance, read more

We had the privilege of working with Kevin on our pool inspection for our new home. Kevin not only demonstrated expertise in pool maintenance and repair, but also had a great personality. After a careful inspection, he provided us with a thorough review of anything that was of concern and did not hesitate to answer any questions we had. When in need of any pool related evaluations, we highly recommend Kevin doing the job. read more

I would hire Glenn again for installation of pumps or heaters. Pro touch has not been so great when it comes to servicing the pool. I had signed up for pool service and was still having to add chemicals. When sent an email to ask if the service tech had been coming out I did not get an immediate reply. I came back from vacation to an email telling me they had to fire the technician and are no longer able to service the pool. My pool is in terrible condition now and I am needing to pay a new technician to kill the algae and bring my pool back to balance chemically. In addition while on vacation my filter lid had popped off and was draining my pool due to high pressure. Very disappointed. They did however reimburse me for the current month, but I am now out another $350 in charges to just bring the pool Back to clear. read more

I'm a DIYer and have been taking care of my pool for multiple years. Recently I screwed up and thought I ruin the pool. I reached out to Protouch (Kevin and Lance) and they were fantastic. Lance came onsite in a timely manner diagnosed and repaired the problem (my screw up). He helped save some cost by providing part numbers for the replacement parts and suggested that I shop around for best price instead of just purchasing through his channels. Kevin asked me if I wanted services to restore the water and even when I said I'd rather do it myself. Kevin provided step by step instructions on what to do to restore/balance the water. This wasn't trivial and Kevin made himself available to answer questions and provide encouragement during his working hours AND his non working hours (nights/weekends). I highly recommend Protouch. They are honest, straight forward professionals. They could have easily sold me services and still helped when I didn't ask for them. All the guidance they provided worked like they said it would. Anyone needing any type of pool services needs to use Protouch and know they aren't being up sold or being given bad advice/instructions. read more

Found Kevin through Yelp and couldnt have been happier w/ the service. Kevin did a pool inspection for me while I was buying a new home, told me exactly what I needed to do and was spot on. Kevin even called me back w/in the hour of me sending him my water test results from Leslie's and walked me through what I needed and didnt need to buy from them. His tech Lance is awesome too and did a great job. Any equipment or service I need moving forward will be through these guys. read more

I was dealing with pine needles stuck in my pool motor. My regular pool service person said they would be almost impossible to get out and therefore I should by a new motor, about $2500. I call Protouch just to shop the price of a new motor, and Kevin walked me through the process of removing the motor and cleaning out the debris. He was so patient and gave perfect detailed instructions. The motor is now functioning much better. When we do need a new motor or anything else, I will definitely go straight to Kevin. I would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

We have worked with Lance with a variety of issues with our spa. He is very patient with my many questions and very thorough in his assessment of our spa equipment. He was able to not only replace the necessary parts that had ceased operations but "fix"the incorrect settings in control panel and PDA from its original install. Our spa works more efficiently and reliably now than it has ever has. Office is great with communication and upfront with estimates and lead time for parts. Lance even offered to put in a used parts to hold us over due to product delays. We opted to wait patiently for the new Pentair pump. We are so happy to finally find a company that could get our jacuzzi spa operational. read more

Problem was spa draining into pool after power was off. Lance (ProTouch tech) was quick to respond after troubleshooting multiple possibilities, found and fixed the problem. We hired Protouch based on their Yelp reviews to install a variable speed pool pump and to replace the caulking around the pool and sidewalk. When they came they noticed we had too much hose on our vacuum and it got twisted very easy. They removed a few links and our hose is no longer tangled. We thought we needed the caulking because we were told every five years to replace, the owner inspected it and told us that it didn't need to be replaced, we are happy we found a company with integrity. The two young men who replaced our old pump were outstanding, They both were passionate about their work and they paid attention to details. Very nice young men! We are very happy we hired Protouch and will definitely use them in the future. read more

We needed to replace our electronic control panel which was over 17 years old. Lance was able to locate an exact replacement and installed it on schedule. During the reprograming, it was found that the filter pump wasn't turning on or off correctly. Very professional, courteous and honest service received from Lance and ProTouch. We definitely recommend them to others needing pool repairs. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Kevin is the ultimate pool guru. We consulted with him when we were buying a house with a pool and his wealth of knowledge and abundance of advice went above and beyond. We ended up hiring him to inspect the pool, and again, his inspection was thorough, well thought out, and extensive. He provided us with all worst case and best case scenarios so we would be fully prepared for anything to come. Kevin offered additional advice on hiring other pool experts for areas he doesn't focus on. His passion for pools is so noticeable and was so refreshing to have someone who actually cared about their work and who wasn't just trying to sell me something. We will be reaching out to Kevin for all of our pool needs moving forward. Thanks again Kevin! read more
