Unfortunately my chicken salad was borderline edible. The avocado was as hard as a rock, the lettuce was wilted and tasted old (possibly because they add hot chicken on top of cold greens) . The entire salad was not at all appetizing and let's just say you'd be better off with Chic fil a salad with lots of fresh veggies and chicken seasoned properly then with 2 salads and juice that ended up being over $30.00. Small portions and bland, we won't be coming back. Bummer. read more

Gave this place 5 different tries and 3 times they did not get my order correct and 4 out of 5 times waited over 20 minutes for my order even though 2 times I was only in there with one other person. Not sure how they justify the wait. Food is good. This is the third week I have tried to order 12 meals for meal prep online. The manager has been told by myself on all three occasions that you can not place orders online. They say they will fix it and it still isn't fixed. They do not accept phone orders so I have to go in in person place my order on paper and then come back on a separate day for pick up. We will taking our business back to our original meal prep company next week. Great place to have a post workout meal but the company is not prepared for meal prepping for athletes as advertised. It's great fresh made to order food but they really should work on getting more staff or a larger cooking area for busy times. It shouldn't take 30 mins to make 1 wrap and 1 bowl where both meats are cooked medium rare (5mins). Otherwise good food even if it's slightly pricey. read more

First time trying this place out and I will say I like it..so far. The only issue I have is that the cooks need to know and understand proper meat temperatures especially when you're paying $17 a meal. I ordered "The General", med-rare and my meat was definitely WELL DONE and almost over cooked. I really like that the staff was friendly and I will definitely be back to try more items! read more

Tons of high quality food with clearly listed macros! Everything is super tasty and the staff is great. Yes it is a little more expensive, but you are paying for high quality AND just about everything on the menu is large enough to share or split into two meals! The pancakes are huge--my kids can share and we typically have leftovers. This is the perfect place for anyone truly--its a huge bonus that you know the exact macros if you are tracking your nutrition. Severely disappointed. As first time customers, you'd think they would be excited to have you walk in their restaurant. The customer service is SEVERELY LACKING, as you walk in you are not greeted nor are you asked if you had any questions etc. just basic customer service things. The three girls upfront looked like they hated their job, and looked like they were ready for their shift to pass by, the snarls and glares is what greeted you at the door. They had no intentions to help any customer that was in there, they stood around and chatted the whole time. The only person that was somewhat helpful in ways was the lady with star tattoos on the right arm (didn't catch a name). Definitely brought the energy completely down. Not to mention, the food I felt was not at its highest potential. I ordered the Aloha, along with a Chicken Caesar salad, within both items my chicken was completely burnt and inedible. If i could give 0 stars i would. You guys are blessed that the least is 1.. It started as a good day. Me and my sister came here to get protein shakes after our naps. We came here interested and never here before. Once we got in , we were not greeted but stared at. It was like they hated their jobs as well as serving the customers. We had seen all the menu items. We had go to "Cesar Salad" and "Aloha". Once we go our food the food had tasted good first bite. Maybe after 2-4 it started to taste time something you would find in the TV diner sections at walmart. The cesar salad wasn't even good. It's not that hard to mess up a salad. They did not give you enough dressing. I'm assuming the cook was having a bad day and wanted to try to get it over. The chicken in both the salad and aloha was both burned and dry. It did not taste like a piece of chicken. It tasted like a charcoal block or like you licked the inside of a furnace. I've had 5 star chicken and salads. As well as 5 star burgers close to the one i had today. It was a waste of $21.56.. I would have rather gone to mcdonald's or del taco. I'd would have rather have a messed up stomach then to have ate this. My mother could have made a better salad then this. Came here for the first time looking for something healthy and tasty to eat. The one redeeming quality was that the mixed greens on the side were great. However the portobello sandwich I got was clearly burned. It literally tasted like charcoal and also had a weird fishy smell and slight fishy taste. I'm guessing the cook isn't cleaning the grill and is cooking all the types of meat together. It just was not good. I managed to eat a few bites before I took it up to the front to let them know the sandwich was inedible. The kids working said they had no authority to do refunds or anything. I didn't ask to have it recooked because I figured the same issues would still be there as the kid cooking clearly has no clue how to run a grill. I left my name and number and hopefully when a manager does come in they'll give me a call. My boyfriend got the Thai monster, he had asked for the steak to be medium rare, it was very well done. Everything in his bowl had a slight fishy taste as well, including the brocolli. The chicken was also burned. All in all I'd say maybe either retrain your cook in proper grill technique, or get someone else in there that knows what they're doing. read more

This place has the worst customer service!!! First time that ordered I was left on hold for five minutes, I was already driving and trying to place my order, thinking they were probably slammed busy I walked in still on the phone with them and all their employees were in the back room no customers in the store at all. When someone finally came out to help me I let them know I was still on hold waiting to place my order and she really didn't care or offer and apology. My second experience with them trying to place a to go order I was placed on hold and then hung up on. After calling back I was successful in placing my order, walked in and the person at the cash register took at least 45 seconds to acknowledge my presence, he just stayed on his tablet doing whatever he was doing. Scottsdale and Phoenix both have great locations, with fantastic staff at both, these people out here in Gilbert , Not so much. read more

The manager (Josh I think) seems distracted and I can never figure out why they have so many people there just standing around. When you finally connect with someone who gets what you need, that person is either let go or moving on. Hopefully, real leadership will be positioned before they sink this place. Always great food and a decent price. However, lately their service is unbearably slow and rude at times. I suspect the employee are rude because they are understaffed. Management/owners need to do a better job of staffing more than 2 people at a time. I usually stop in 1-2 times a week and lately it has been anything but easy to get a shake. 25 minutes to get a shake is ridiculous. Really good food! Wasn't crowded when we went (on a Saturday night around 7:00 PM), which allowed for our food to be ready pretty quickly! Very clean and minimalistic design, which is 100% my style. The food tasted great, even to my family members who are typically less-than-enthused by healthier options. Of course, the macros are amazing, so this is a reliable pick for anyone who cares about their health or needs more specific information about what they're putting in their bodies! Next time I go, I will definitely try the Peanut Butter smoothie bowl (since it's the only one I've ever seen that has less carbs than fats/proteins, which is a big dealbreaker for me). The only thing I would have to say is that the clientele is certainly tailored to the gym / power building aficionado, so people who feel "gym-timidation" may be slightly uncomfortable eating here in person, but that's what pick-up is for (trust me, the food is worth it!)! I walked in starving, told them how many macros I had allotted for my lunch, they helped me choose something that fit PERFECTLY and served it to me hot and fresh. What an amazing restaurant! I visited over the holidays and was so impressed that I had them cater my seminar. It was a slam dunk and all the attendees loved the food. I live in San Diego and wish there was one here. If so, I'd have them make all of my meals, and I'd undoubtedly be leaner and healthier. Over the weekend I got the LR Steak Burrito, Barbecue Bison Wrap, PB Crush Shake (liked it so much I had 3), and peanut butter balls. I absolutely loved all of it. I have gone to this Protein House a couple of times. The food is definitely edible, semi tasty and I appreciate seeing the macronutrient count on each item as someone who does counts macros. However, they are grossly overpriced - in my opinion. I paid $13 for the BBQ chicken bowl, which contained a decent amount of rice, probably 4 ounces of chicken and a very small helping of broccoli, a few peppers and onions. I paid $1 to add mushrooms and there was probably 1 whole mushroom added in. If you're charging an entire dollar for a ridiculously cheap food item, you should at least give a generous serving. There are several places I can think of which have very similar menu items, better taste/flavor, larger portions and are still less expensive. If they're so expensive because the chicken is "free range" maybe they should consider making that an option for an additional charge rather than it being the standard. Most people don't want to pay $12-$17 for a bowl. read more

Had heard mixed reviews so we decided to try a new place. Husband had chicken Caesar wrap...as his stomach doesn't do well with anything crazy spicy this was a good choice for him. It was a hearty enough size for him, was flavorful without being too zesty, and had a side of mixed fruit with pineapple and melon. I had a bowl with bison and veggies - " the General " I believe - and it, too, was flavorful. I had it with the cauliflower rice as a lower carb option. It was on the smaller side ( my husband's reaction: " that's kinda SMALL isn't it? For the price?" ) but it was filling enough for me for a light lunch; however, a person with a more hearty appetite may be left wanting more. There were two people working behind the counter. Younger girl seemed as though it was perhaps her first job, with limited people skills. The other woman was very helpful....making suggestions on menu items... and enthusiastic ( she was probably the manager of owner). Overall I enjoyed the meal but it would not be my absolute first choice...as it is a bit on the spendy side for what you get. Still a good option for health conscious folks. read more

Can't give enough stars! We've been coming to this place since it opened. People who complain that it's a little too pricey aren't taking into account the menu and why people go there. It's really clean eating and really delicious! I love the breakfasts, the smoothies, the bowls, the burgers...everything is good! I'm not a gym rat and I love to eat there. Also, perfect for people who count macros because they give you the nutritional information on the menu. Customer service is great. You just order your food at the counter and find your own seat.
