They have a small food menu with a variety of wine options. I came here for a wedding that was located on the rooftop. It is small so it's perfect for an intimate ceremony. I was there during sunset hour, so we got to see the pretty views in the middle of downtown prosper. They did have a mini bar set up for the wedding where you had a variety of options to chose from. I've been anticipating the opening of Prosper Wine House since I first heard they would be opening back in December 2022, and I'm so glad I finally got to check it out! They are located in downtown Prosper and in a two story building with plenty of seating and room. There is also an event space downstairs that can be rented out for wedding receptions, parties, etc. They have a spacious rooftop area that overlooks downtown Prosper and has an unobstructed view that you can see for miles as well as a picture perfect sunset view. My friend and I sat outside on the rooftop and had the most amazing view of the sunset. We sat at fire pit table to keep warm since it was a bit chilly. Marissa greeted us promptly and gave us the run down of the menu and wine offerings. She provided us with amazing service the entire night, despite having multiple tables to attend to as well. We ordered a variety of wines throughout the night, which all tasted great. We also ordered the veggie crudite, magnum charcuterie board, and wild mushroom and truffle bruschetta. I would highly recommend the bruschetta if you're a fan of mushrooms and truffle! Flavors were so decadent without the truffle being too overpowering. The charcuterie board also had a good selection of cheeses and meats to pair with your wine. I will definitely be back here again! Amazing wine, food, and service! read more

Very rarely do places leave such an impression on me that I feel the need to immediately give them a solid review. But this place was straight away able to deliver the wow! I stopped in after hearing great things on a whim, happy i did. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, cozy seats up front and more bar upstairs. Live music on Friday/Saturday nights. I immediately was greeted warmly. Love the servers especially the attentive & sweetest Cari! Try their house red blend. I was impressed with how good it was with it being A TEXAS wine! I recently visited from Oregon to Texas for the First Prosper Wine House Wedding!!! My Daughter Sarinna and Son-in-Law Brad chose to get married here for the beautiful and intimate sunset ambiance. It was beautiful and amazing! The rooftop was set up with chairs all around to see the wedding during sunset. There was plenty of room for all the guests to sit or mingle. It was very kick back with people enjoying a glass of wine or beer if they chose to. There were even a few air conditioner units set up as well because, well it is Texas and it was a little warm early in the evening lol and the owner Mike wanted everyone to be comfortable. The food served buffet style from the Tender Smokehouse was delicious! Plenty of places to pull up a chair or sit at a table inside or out. Loved Prosper Wine House! We visited for the first time on Saturday night and joined the Scarlett Wine Tasting. The venue was beautiful, service was prompt and friendly, wine tasting was great and we enjoyed our charcuterie. We took a moment to visit the main room and then peeked into an event room and while we didn't make it up to the rooftop on Saturday, you can bet we will be up there at sunset on our next visit. PS: We meet some great 'regulars' and were impressed by their friendliness and whole-hearted endorsement for the venue, the staff and calendar full of fun activities. Hosted a party here for my wife's birthday. Really great location and great space! The place is huge! It has a nice ambiance and the upstairs patio(s) (yes, multiple) are great with outstanding views and sunsets. I totally recommend this place and especially if you need a venue for a party, large or small. The owners and staff were super attentive, friendly, and took care of all our needs, even when we were high maintenance haha. I was really impressed with their communication and fast response times when I had questions or adjustments. Throwing parties is stressful enough on its own, but it helps when your venue is prompt and on top of it. Oh did I mention that their wine selection is pretty great, with plenty of local wines to try? Their food is pretty good too. Something for everyone... Absolutely wonderful! We have been here several times and each time it makes me look forward to the next. Tonight we had the beef empanadas, smoked salmon crostini and the chicken salad. All were great and the wine made those selections even better. My husband had a flight of wines (the pour was generous and so enjoyable) i had a glass of the Madman and loved it... so much it is a Great place to grab a glass of wine, frozen drink or a beer. Really love that Prosper is expanding night life options while maintaining our small town feel with places like Prosper Wine House. We went in the first weeks of opening so we gave grace as needed. The rooftop patio is the main attraction here. Staged with several gas fire pits and comfortable seating. It extends from front to back to accommodate plenty of wine connoisseurs. Perhaps a secluded cigar area is being considered?? I know a huge group here in Prosper that would be all over that! The wine list is good but I'm hoping they expand quite a bit as I think they will. I'm not a fan of Texas wines (dare I say it??) and the list had quite a few. Other regions include Napa, Sonoma, and a few other California and Washington wines. Hoping they branch out and include other regions from around the world rather than just wines of the USA. I'm sure I'll get some backlash for this but some varietals from old world regions have iconic qualities that just can't be replicated here in the states. Would be awesome if they expand this to a very extensive wine list and offer regional flights. Ooh I'm getting excited just thinking about it!! Fingers crossed that's in the plan. We had a few appetizers: hummus board which did not impress and some mushroom bruschetta that I didn't get a chance to try but looked delicious. I'm pretty sure this menu will broaden and excite as the restaurant settles into its space. Right now it's just a bit lackluster. Service was great, a little slow, at times. but again these are growing pains as staff learn the ropes. **While I know this review may not sound like a 5-star review, this venue truly deserves this rating. Eh had so much hope for this place! Downtown prosper needs more nightlife and who doesn't love a wine spot. I hate to say it but we left pretty disappointed. Wine was good but to be a win house felt like it should have had more unique options and tastings The food was probably the biggest disappointment. How can you be a wine bar and have a very basic cheese plate. Like it looks like it was from Costco. Two cheeses two meats and ritz crackers. No honey or dips or peanuts. Service was great I'll give them that but otherwise not impressed. We also sat at the end of a very depressing hallway staring at a wall with not even a pretty table setting. My husband and I tried to visit Prosper Wine House with our 6 week old sleeping baby today (a Tuesday night). We were stopped at the door and told kids were not allowed. This was such a disappointment since I am I new mom who was excited to have an outing and simply enjoy a nice glass of wine. Apparently kids are allowed Saturday and Sunday until 5pm. Not sure why a weekday night is so exclusive. I can understand not wanting toddlers running around, but turning away a paying customer because they have their sleeping baby is beyond me. We will be taking our business to Barons Creek in McKinney. read more

Such a great place! Wine is a good variety from California and Texas. Service was excellent. The food menu is suberb! It is a wine bar so they serve "appetizers " which are equivalent to other wine bars and are actually better than most and offer different cheeses and meats than most places. Plus it is kid friendly which most people want when out with friends and on a date night. The owners and GM are hands on and listen to all concerns complaints and suggestions that are given.
