We had brunch at a place we've been meaning to go to for a long time: Prospect Five Points. They're just south of the heart of Five Points on the east side of Margaret Street. I ordered the Short Rib Hash Bowl without tomatoes. My only critique was that I could've used a little more short rib and a little less potatoes but I liked everything else about it. The onions brought a sweetness to it that was really unique and I REALLY liked the seasoning that was on the huge pieces of toast with it. My wife had the Breakfast Burrito, which I could've called from before we even walked in. If a place had a breakfast burrito, she's gonna order it. This one was great. There was a lot of good flavor packed into that tortilla. She especially liked the chili sauce on top. It had a little kick that elevated the whole thing. We both liked the environment and our server was very nice. We would come back for sure to try other things or just to hang out at the big outdoor bar at the front.

Oh how I love Saturday Brunch with the girls! It has been a minute since I was at Prospect and I realized I had never eaten at Prospect. Wow, I have been missing out. We split the breakfast flat bread with scrambled eggs, bacon, caramelized onions. So delicious. Friend had the buffalo chicken flatbread. The service was awesome! Cocktails flowed and great girlfriend time was had by all.

Absolutely love prospect. It's not our first trip but our first time trying all of these appetizers and they were cooked to perfection. I was a little bummed about how empty the restaurant was on a Thursday night because it is such a great spot. Our waitress was fantastic and even recommended a to go dessert since we were so stuffed.

First meal I've had in Jacksonville and I found a little gem. It was the number 2 spot on Yelp in the neighborhood, and I can see why. The service behind the counter by Kay was excellent, I settled on the chicken tostones nachos on a whim and it was an excellent portion/really tasty. The inside was comfortable! First off, I'll disclose I did not manage to get a picture of the menu. The menu is currently different than what's currently posted to yelp. As we were handed a menu that shown brunch specials but we arrived 10 minutes after the brunch cut off. The other side did show current options. Next this place is dog friendly on the patio and that was a welcomed surprise! They even brought some dog treats over for my dog. Our waiter was pleasant and informative for our first time. Only thing I'd say is when I ordered the chicken sandwich it was pictured with a fried chicken patty. My menu didn't describe if the sandwich I was order was fried or grilled. But once it arrived it was grilled and thankfully was still very good. Fries were perfectly crispy and not cold. And the shrimp tacos I'd consider were just normal, nothing special about them. But The drink was great and I had no complaints about it. Overall a great place for a Sunday meal if you have your pet with you. As the place was clean and had covered seating while outdoors. Just be ready to ask questions about the menu so you are confident what you're ordering.

When you walk in you might be confused where to go but I was told I could sit anywhere. I opted for the front bar dining room. It was a sat night and not super busy inside. More People oustide. They have 2 bars and seemed like most people were working in both areas. I started out order a sparkling flight. Had a cava a Prosecco and a rose. It took more than 15 min for my drinks to be brought to me which I thought was strange. The server did check back in multiple times and tell me it was coming but for something they didn't have to make it seemed like a long time. We stayed with goat cheese balls and short rib sliders. While ordered for the same course they came out at different times. We finish the goat cheese and then the sliders came. Both hot and tasty the cheese balls had hi ey and pistachios on them and we yummy. The sliders had great buns and the creme of Brie was delish. For dinner we ordered the burger and fries and the chicken lollipops with lemon pepper. The fries were a standout crispy hot and well seasoned. Salty in the best way. The chicken came out and I was surprised they were a large lollipop not a wing and very substantial. The Lemon Pepper sauce was wet and had heat but it as tangy also. My bf didn't finish his burger as he said it was ill but just kinda regular. Chicken was standout and we shared it. I didn't see dessert menu but we were full. For these items we were there almost 2 hours. Start to finish. Food was good and hot but timing seemed off. I can appreciate that all seemed fresh. !!

I finally tried their burger- top shelf. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, thick bacon, brioche bun and a pile of crispy fries. Welcome Prospect to the Riverside Burger Elite!

We stopped in for happy hour with a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed a glass of wine and an old fashioned with our appetizers. The sliders and the flatbreads were large enough for a light meal. We both enjoyed our food and look forward to visiting again soon.

Came here for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was a lovely experience. The server was super sweet and gave us a pecan pie on the house (with a bday candle). We shared the whipped jalapeño honey ricotta which was pretty tasty but needed some more jalapeños. We do love a good kick! I had the hot chicken sliders as my entree and it was made just right. Especially loved the cucumbers; it provided a nice crunch. The dining area had good lighting and was intimate and really great for chats.

Still my favorite restaurant in Five Points Riverside area. Yes, even better than Orsay. Consistently good food and service. They have a great Happy Hour and rotating weekly specials so follow their Instagram. But remember they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We regularly go to Prospect House once or twice a week. The food is always delicious, the service is impeccable and the happy hours are unbelievable. We've been doing this for over three years. Tonight we went there for Thanksgiving and I don't know why anyone would ever cook at home when they could come here and get a fabulous meal.

Nice place to have dinner. The service was great. It was a nice warm day out so we decided to sit outside. The sun began to fall and the buggies started coming out so we moved inside and it was just as nice!! A nice glass of bubbly with some shared food with family. The steak was tender and juicy. Fries where crispy. Brussel sprouts were flavorful. The Brushetta board was definitely a hit. I hope these pictures make your mouth water because remembering makes mine!

What a great addition to the Five Points area! My friend and I were so pleased with the food and service. Our waiter was really hospitable and made sure that the food we ordered was to our liking. I liked how most of the plates were shareable so we were able to try a few dishes to satisfy our appetite but also not break the bank! The flatbread and sliders were delicious and the banana foster cake was divine, but we both agreed that our favorite was the Ahi Tuna Stacker. We could eat that all day if we could! Definitely coming back in the future. read more

Nice, but small, pistachio goat cheese balls ($11). $5 happy-hour (3-6 PM daily) sparkling wine. We sat outdoors, where there was a bit of an ant problem. Quick service. I doubt I'd return because the bathroom was dirty, which I consider unacceptable. read more

My husband and I ate dinner here last Friday night. We had reservations and were seated upon arrival. We sat in the front of the dining room. I preferred a wine flight and liked one wine, didn't like the second but loved the third. The charcuterie was great. I ordered and loved the Brussels sprouts and the short rib sliders. Loved them. Overall the server was great, food was great, and they took reservations. Really happy with the experience. read more

Another great night at Prospect! They do not disappoint. The service was great. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere is chill and classy. I always enjoy the ambience of the restaurant. My favorite thing to get is the bruschetta board, I get it every time. It's three slices of bruschetta and it is perfect to splitting. Our waitress recommended the salmon, which was super tasty. The sear on the salmon was crisp, completely on point, and so tasty. The salmon was not over cooked or dried. My friend got the sliders and they were amazing. The buns were perfectly toasted. Each bit was full of flavor. There is indoor and outdoor dinning. It is finally cool enough to be seated outside and not sweat to death. The ambience outside is very nice. So I have heard that this location has gone through a few owners and different restaurants have been here. It currently houses Prospect Five Points which opened not too long ago. Even though I've only been here once since it has opened, I hope that they stay successful for a very long time. I can for their happy hour with some friends and we were able to make reservations since there was a big group of us. We all ordered off the happy hour and regular menu to share. The flatbreads were very good with fresh toppings and crispy crusts; my favorite one was Margaret St. But I think the one we all enjoyed the most was the bruschetta board, which comes with three different types, one being the chef's special of the day. The ahi tuna dip was amazing and usually I don't like raw fish, but this I'd order again. The fried calamari was my least favorite, as I don't really eat fried foods anymore, as well as the coating was a little too sweet for my liking. The atmosphere was intimate and great for dates or groups of friends. The main dining area in back has a large wine cellar right in the middle of the room, which I think is pretty cool. There is some beer and cocktails on the menu, but they mostly have different kinds of wine for you wine connoisseurs out there. There is some bar seating and outdoor patio seating as well. You know this is Riverside, so parking is where you can find it. You need to come here for the food, drinks and atmosphere. Who wants to come back me for happy hour?!?!?! read more

I was sad to see Marrah Brewing and Safe Harbor seafood close and somewhat skeptical of Prospect at first. This place has daily happy hours from 3 to 6 PM, you heard that right, daily! With an amazing assortment of affordable wines, a full bar and beer along with shareable tapas (not those puny sized not even amuse-bouche sized stuff), this place knocked my socks off! Service was five stars, impeccable!!! I highly recommend them and that you ask for Anthony and sit outside when it's beautiful. Oh yeah, did I mention the outside seating? I had watched Prospect come to life on social media and was eager to try it out. I have seen many things fill this building, and nothing as amazing as what I enjoyed this past weekend. I would say to make sure you make a reservation because they are quite busy. We gave our name at the door and we walked back to the way back dining room. The décor is sleek and stylish with nice touches like a wine bottle water feature and a cage of wine bottles. The seating is comfy and I will say they have packed a lot of tables into the space. We were at our intimate candle lit table and the menus were brought to us promptly along with some water. Our server Brian was really nice and had a solid knowledge of the menu items as well. We decided to share a few things and ordered a Jax flatbread and when we asked if the leeks could be only on half of it, Brian recommended that we have them on the side. We also had an order of truffle fries, and the bruschetta board. I ordered the liquid gold wine flight, and a coke for my other half. My wine flight was really nice, and I love that it gives the opportunity to try three different kinds of wine that I might not be familiar with. My favorite was the sauvignon blanc, which was no surprise to me; but I also really enjoyed the chardonnay as well! The Jax flat bread with its buffalo sauce and chicken with ranch drizzle, and leeks was just terrific. There was a crispy smokiness to it, while the chicken was tender, and the mozzarella cheese was nice and melty as well. We love truffle fries, and these were done really well, and also in a large portion. I LOVED the bruschetta board! You have three wonderful small bites with balanced inventive flavors, and I think it's pretty cool that there will always be a chef's choice to make the board different no matter how many times you order it. The price point seemed really great to me, the area of town is of course a favorite, and I could feel the love poured into each and every thing here. The only negative is the noise level in the back area, I think maybe due to poor acoustics? Cannot wait for more visits to try everything else on the menu! read more

We stopped by before attending and event. Terrible service, sub-par food, waited over an hour and a half for two flatbreads while the (what I would assume to be the owners based on what I observed) sat at the table next to us while their kids ran around and didn't even care. The couple behind us had to leave before their food came out due to waiting over an hour. Server never once apologized or acknowledged the extremely long wait, didn't ask if we wanted another round of drinks or how the food was/if we needed anything. Definitely don't recommend, waste of time and money. Not one to write reviews or complain but felt it necessary. read more

Best salmon entree I have had in a LONG time and a daily happy hour 3pm to 6pm!!! You must try this place in 5 points neighborhood of JAX. The drinks were wonderful - especially the Empress of the Night - think, lavender lemonade. The atmosphere is welcoming with a neighborhood bistro feel and attentive, friendly service. The chef steps out to say hello, which we love. The happy menu options were really extensive with food, wine, beer, and cocktails. The charcuterie board was interesting but some of the edges on a meat were sadly crusted to a plastics level and a bit past their prime. We don't recommend that necessarily. The Salmon was PERFECTLY cooked with wonderful polenta base. We nearly licked the plate, just the best!!! The pecan pie was tasty but very small portion. Overall, this is the kind of foodie place we've missed since moving from Los Angeles, Seattle and DC. We plan to go back and try everything on the menu at least once! read more

Every meal I've had here has been excellent. This may sound silly but their Caesar salad is the best I've had in a long time! I was a little hesitant to get a steak at a non steakhouse and I have to say it was delicious!!! I highly recommend. Brussel sprouts are one of my favorites here as well. Tonight I had the special corned beef sliders. Coming from an Irish kid from Boston I'll say they were amazing!!! I might have to come back before they come off the menu. I found this place on Yelp about 2 days prior to actually dining in and I knew I was going to love it ! Let's start with the service , the waitress April was very pleasant and she answered every question with understanding. I ordered the Ahi Tuna and Avocado Stack to start with and I was pleased. The tuna was fresh and the avocado was well put together, might I just add that this dish is very filling. My entree was the Jax flatbread, not too spicy and full of flavor. I enjoyed the leeks that the flatbread was topped with , however I would've loved more veggies. Overall this was a great experience and I will be returning again. read more

This is becoming one of my favorite spots for an upscale dinner for any occasion. The food never disappoints. I love all the options they have for sharing plates. We even went for Thanksgiving. We had juicy turkey, choice of 2 sides and dessert. I had the carrots and Brussels sprouts. This place makes you want to eat ALL your veggies. The wait staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is fun. I wish I had pics to share, but I've been so many times; all I can say is this is a must try! read more

This is one of the best places to visit in Jacksonville. I've dined here twice and both times were such a delight. I noticed that more people elected to dine outside, but I really enjoyed the cozy, intimate experience inside of the restaurant. The cocktails are fabulous and they also have wine flights if you'd like to have a mini tasting with dinner. I had one of the best Caesar salads here which is an incredible feat! If a place makes me remember their Caesar, they are truly great. The servers and bartenders that I interacted with were very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I usually dine with friends who can be on the pickier side and the servers were always willing to dispel any confusion on the menu and make great recommendations. I definitely recommend Prospect for a night out with friends or a lover. read more

Just a perfect local spot that has absolutely become our go to stop. The staff is wonderful and the reservation set up is nice for when we have a party with us. Rotating burger is my go to with the truffle fries, the have a bunch of flatbreads that are big enough to be a meal. My gal is a big fan of their wine selection. read more

This is by far our favorite spot in Riverside! The food is ALWAYS amazing. Something we really appreciate is how much the staff absolutely LOVE where they work! Wow wow wow!! First time eating here and definitely not my last! The flavors of the flatbread between the sweetness of the figs and the salty cheese was incredible! This place is wonderful and I can't wait to go back! The menu is impressive. The selection of beer is on point and offers a great variety. I also love the option to have a wine flight--major bonus for a wino! Menu items worth highlighting: The pistachio crusted cheese balls are *chefs kiss* delicious. The bruschetta boards are a nice twist on the classic, truffle fries are perfectly crisp, ahi tuna and avocado stack is super fresh and light and a definite must order is the gnocchi. Staff: Everyone was masked and attentive. Apparently everyone in the restaurant ordered the gnocchi at once so that area of the kitchen became a little backed up. We didn't even notice that it was taking longer than usual (about 10 minutes tops). The manager (or owner?) actually came by our table to apologize and insisted on getting us a round of drinks on the house. This was completely unnecessary but wow did we appreciate it! 1. Not a food thing but EVERYONE had a mask on and UP OVER their noses!!!! Hooray @ 2. Food.... the brussel spouts on a scale of 1 to 10 were at least an 11. They were tasty and CRISPY...for you vegetarians they did have bacon in them but I bet they would accommodate your food preferences. Unfortunately, my entree was not as good as the rest of my meal. The flavor of the scallops was strange, I am guessing from the pea flavor. I love mushrooms and risotto, but this one was not good. The risotto was not super creamy, seemed a bit uncooked. Based on most of our meal, I would definitely return to try other entrees.

Let's get into the highlights: some of the freshest table side guacamole I've ever had. Made right in front of you and you get a ton for what you pay for. My lunch portion of my Yucatán Quesadilla was only $9.99 as it was a Friday and it was just okay. Unfortunately, I did have to cut it myself. The "small" margarita for $12.99 is absolutely gigantic. In fact, every drink I saw come out was of ginormous proportion and seems to be the main draw here. Unfortunately, I was a bit let down by both the salsa, as even though there was a full bar, none of the options were all that tasty. The biggest detractor was honestly the service. Our server was extremely nice on the surface, but every opportunity was used to upsell by every member of the staff. A bigger drink, another appetizer, another drink, handing us their card and asking for a review following paying. I normally never have issue with this but it became overwhelming at a certain point. This restaurant absolutely feels like it has potential, but might suffocate over its mistakes in an extremely crowded Town Center/Southside Market.

It deeply saddens me to share that one of my cherished Jacksonville restaurants seems to have lost its way. Under the previous owners, it felt like a second home, a place where the bartenders were always jovial, the servers were exceptional, and the weekly specials email was a highlight of my week. However, since the change in ownership, a noticeable shift has occurred. The beloved specials have vanished, and the once vibrant staff now appear downcast and disheartened. The quality of the food has also regrettably declined. It's truly disheartening to witness, as it's evident that the new owners haven't fostered the same loving and supportive environment that once made this establishment so special. Even their social media presence reflects this downturn, appearing amateurish and lacking the previous charm. I long to rekindle my affection for this former haven, but I fear it may never be the same. I implore the new owners to hear my plea and restore the warmth and care that once defined this place. Perhaps a fresh chef could revitalize the menu, bringing back those dishes made with love. Writing this review has been a painful experience, especially after canceling our New Year's Eve reservation and being disappointed on two subsequent visits. I've walked past this place countless times, always telling myself I'd give it a try, but I finally did today--and I'm so glad I did! I was craving a salad and, after checking out the menu, the chicken lollipops caught my eye. Where has Prospect Five Points been all this time? For the first time, a server asked how I wanted my salmon cooked--rare, medium rare, or medium! I've been stuck with dry, overcooked salmon for years, but this rare salmon was perfection - juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The salad was amazing too, with fresh arugula and pickled onions in the perfect vinaigrette. And the homemade key lime pie? Absolute magic - not too sweet, not too sour. The most tastiest was the fried mozzarella! Which shouldn't happen. Onto the entrees! Actually wait side reference note I initially ordered mussels with linguini. It was the worst dish of seafood and pasta I have ever had. I literally NEVER send stuff back, like literally never.. it feels inconsiderate and I feel like a bother even if it is just a little edible I would eat it with no complaints but I literally could not. It was so fishy I am now writing this nauseous. Some of the mussels were also closed, cold or broken.. it was just very very poor and I'm mad I had three mussels. The first one was crazy fishy, but I gave it another shot and then another, because I believe in second and third chances. But no, I was grossed out. Not to mention consuming all the fried prior. I also ordered a soup that was forgotten, and didn't get my cocktail sauce, but not really an issue if the dish was made to torture people with. Eventually I did get my soup and it wasn't bad! But now onto the entrees! Bezos: Chicken francese Tragic: veal parm Ogre: Chicken parm Doctor B Wife: Chicken Caprese Me: after the swap I got Veal Parm (thanks tragic) Oh and we had some garlic bread, but it needed some sauce or added flavor with it idk.. Reviews! Ogre: The chicken was good Wife: Mid Bezos: *yawn* ummmm Tragic: Italian stallion Me: the veal was solid, but that dish was so bad before that I lost all my appetite and I am just bleh.. and our waiter seemed a little lost.. again nice guy but come on. All in all we are grateful we were taken in by Enzo's and that owner seemed like she was a hardworking person that definitely can inspire her staff. I loved the piano playing, and the environment was really pleasant. Although me personally I disagree with the food, that dish was the worst ever, and our waiter again although nice was extremely forgetful. I feel sick to my stomach and I probably am going to vomit. But thank you again you gave us a good night and a place to eat..

Nice ending to a wonderful dinner with friends. Everything was so delicious. So sorry we enjoyed our dinner so much that I forgot to take photos.
