We had brunch at a place we've been meaning to go to for a long time: Prospect Five Points. They're just south of the heart of Five Points on the east side of Margaret Street. I ordered the Short Rib Hash Bowl without tomatoes. My only critique was that I could've used a little more short rib and a little less potatoes but I liked everything else about it. The onions brought a sweetness to it that was really unique and I REALLY liked the seasoning that was on the huge pieces of toast with it. My wife had the Breakfast Burrito, which I could've called from before we even walked in. If a place had a breakfast burrito, she's gonna order it. This one was great. There was a lot of good flavor packed into that tortilla. She especially liked the chili sauce on top. It had a little kick that elevated the whole thing. We both liked the environment and our server was very nice. We would come back for sure to try other things or just to hang out at the big outdoor bar at the front.

Oh how I love Saturday Brunch with the girls! It has been a minute since I was at Prospect and I realized I had never eaten at Prospect. Wow, I have been missing out. We split the breakfast flat bread with scrambled eggs, bacon, caramelized onions. So delicious. Friend had the buffalo chicken flatbread. The service was awesome! Cocktails flowed and great girlfriend time was had by all.

Absolutely love prospect. It's not our first trip but our first time trying all of these appetizers and they were cooked to perfection. I was a little bummed about how empty the restaurant was on a Thursday night because it is such a great spot. Our waitress was fantastic and even recommended a to go dessert since we were so stuffed.

First meal I've had in Jacksonville and I found a little gem. It was the number 2 spot on Yelp in the neighborhood, and I can see why. The service behind the counter by Kay was excellent, I settled on the chicken tostones nachos on a whim and it was an excellent portion/really tasty. The inside was comfortable! I'm here all week I might come back!

First off, I'll disclose I did not manage to get a picture of the menu. The menu is currently different than what's currently posted to yelp. As we were handed a menu that shown brunch specials but we arrived 10 minutes after the brunch cut off. The other side did show current options. Next this place is dog friendly on the patio and that was a welcomed surprise! They even brought some dog treats over for my dog. Our waiter was pleasant and informative for our first time. Only thing I'd say is when I ordered the chicken sandwich it was pictured with a fried chicken patty. My menu didn't describe if the sandwich I was order was fried or grilled. But once it arrived it was grilled and thankfully was still very good. Fries were perfectly crispy and not cold. And the shrimp tacos I'd consider were just normal, nothing special about them. But The drink was great and I had no complaints about it. Overall a great place for a Sunday meal if you have your pet with you. As the place was clean and had covered seating while outdoors. Just be ready to ask questions about the menu so you are confident what you're ordering.

When you walk in you might be confused where to go but I was told I could sit anywhere. I opted for the front bar dining room. It was a sat night and not super busy inside. More People oustide. They have 2 bars and seemed like most people were working in both areas. I started out order a sparkling flight. Had a cava a Prosecco and a rose. It took more than 15 min for my drinks to be brought to me which I thought was strange. The server did check back in multiple times and tell me it was coming but for something they didn't have to make it seemed like a long time. We stayed with goat cheese balls and short rib sliders. While ordered for the same course they came out at different times. We finish the goat cheese and then the sliders came. Both hot and tasty the cheese balls had hi ey and pistachios on them and we yummy. The sliders had great buns and the creme of Brie was delish. For dinner we ordered the burger and fries and the chicken lollipops with lemon pepper. The fries were a standout crispy hot and well seasoned. Salty in the best way. The chicken came out and I was surprised they were a large lollipop not a wing and very substantial. The Lemon Pepper sauce was wet and had heat but it as tangy also. My bf didn't finish his burger as he said it was ill but just kinda regular. Chicken was standout and we shared it. I didn't see dessert menu but we were full. For these items we were there almost 2 hours. Start to finish. Food was good and hot but timing seemed off. I can appreciate that all seemed fresh. !!

    Great burger

I finally tried their burger- top shelf. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, thick bacon, brioche bun and a pile of crispy fries. Welcome Prospect to the Riverside Burger Elite!

We stopped in for happy hour with a reservation and were seated promptly. The service was fast and friendly. We enjoyed a glass of wine and an old fashioned with our appetizers. The sliders and the flatbreads were large enough for a light meal. We both enjoyed our food and look forward to visiting again soon.

Came here for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday and it was a lovely experience. The server was super sweet and gave us a pecan pie on the house (with a bday candle). We shared the whipped jalapeño honey ricotta which was pretty tasty but needed some more jalapeños. We do love a good kick! I had the hot chicken sliders as my entree and it was made just right. Especially loved the cucumbers; it provided a nice crunch. The dining area had good lighting and was intimate and really great for chats.

Still my favorite restaurant in Five Points Riverside area. Yes, even better than Orsay. Consistently good food and service. They have a great Happy Hour and rotating weekly specials so follow their Instagram. But remember they're closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

We regularly go to Prospect House once or twice a week. The food is always delicious, the service is impeccable and the happy hours are unbelievable. We've been doing this for over three years. Tonight we went there for Thanksgiving and I don't know why anyone would ever cook at home when they could come here and get a fabulous meal.

Nice place to have dinner. The service was great. It was a nice warm day out so we decided to sit outside. The sun began to fall and the buggies started coming out so we moved inside and it was just as nice!! A nice glass of bubbly with some shared food with family. The steak was tender and juicy. Fries where crispy. Brussel sprouts were flavorful. The Brushetta board was definitely a hit. I hope these pictures make your mouth water because remembering makes mine!

Delicious food. Friendly and attentive service! We ate outside in the bar area. It was delightful.

She made sure to check up on us, answered all of our questions, and refilled our drinks often. It was super clean there too! We were started off with some fresh, warm bread and a balsamic/olive oil dipping sauce. The bread was perfectly crispy and went so well with the dipping sauce. We were served cold bread before at restaurant so I'm glad we had warm bread! We decided on the following appetizer and entrees: Fried meat ravioli - 8/10: it came out piping hot and it was so delicious! Fried to a nice, golden brown and covered in panko crumbs, it didn't feel heavy at all. It came with a fresh marinara sauce and had parmesan cheese sprinkled on top of the fried ravioli. Each bite was cheesy, crispy, tasty, meaty, and we devoured it quickly! Carbonara Alla Roma - 8.5/10: I thought the portion would be small since I seen photos online but it was actually a great portion. I had enough to take home and eat as leftovers! The pasta was cooked perfectly and the alfredo sauce was balanced and decadent. I could taste the pecorino romano, and cracked black pepper. The pancetta was smoky and added a nice umami flavor to the pasta. I didn't rate it higher because it was slightly missing a little bit of of that BAM factor! but it was pretty delicious! The Sofi - chicken - 9/10: Oh my gosh! My best friend got this and I wished I would have too! It was sooooooooooooooooooo good! It had prosciutto di parma, mushrooms, asparagus, shallots, cooked in wine and tossed in a rose cream sauce. The pasta was also cooked perfectly and that sauce was to die for! Each bite was like tasting the finest flavors and spices of Italy. I could not believe how tasty this was! If you come here, you HAVE to try this dish! Tiramisu - 9.5/10: One of the best tiramisus we've had in Jacksonville. It was the perfect amount of espresso and cream. They had dollops of chocolate sauce on the side and helped elevated the flavor of the tiramisu. It also wasn't super sweet which we appreciate. We don't really like overly sweet desserts and this one hits the mark on everything. Overall, service, food, and atmosphere was great! We would definitely come back to try other menu items! Thank you for such a great first experience, Sofi's!

Pair it with the crème fraîche on either the toasted bread or the chips, and muah perfection! Personally, I preferred it with the chips since I found the toasted bread a little too salty. * The Tuna Carpaccio was a surprising 10/10. We sliced it into strips, making sure each bite had the comb crisps, basil aioli, yuzu aioli, Florida sterlet caviar, micro arugula, and mushrooms. Oh my god! the flavors were incredible. The tuna made each bite light and refreshing, while all the other ingredients layered together beautifully, revealing new flavors as you kept chewing. * The oysters were another 10/10. They were incredibly fresh, and pairing them with the sorbet created such a refreshing combination. The kimchi dropper was just okay, I was hoping for more heat. The mignonette dropper, though, was absolutely delicious and complemented the oysters perfectly. * The Charred Octopus gets a 9/10. The octopus was wonderfully tender, but I wished the chorizo flavor came through more. The fregola was fantastic, it was satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. * The Mussels Frites earns an 8/10. The fries were perfectly seasoned and honestly one of my favorite parts of the dish. The mussels were good, but like the octopus, I expected a stronger chorizo flavor. * The Burgundy Escargot is a solid 10/10. Absolutely delicious! The rich bone marrow melted in your mouth, and it paired so well with the escargot. Such a creative combination that worked beautifully. * The outdoor seating was wonderful! Even though it was raining, it was still very comfortable thanks to the fans nearby, so it never felt hot or humid. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night, a special birthday celebration, or any gathering with family and friends. The overall vibe made the experience even more memorable. Lastly, a special shout-out to our server, Colette! She was wonderful from start to finish! She was always cheerful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to explain the dishes, answered all of our questions with a smile, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

The overall restaurant looked clean and great for a date night. We weren't feeling too hungry so we ordered the following based on the waitress and our friend's recommendations: 1) Crispy Brussels sprouts 2) Duck Fat Corn Bread 3) House made pasta + sugo The crispy brussels sprouts were a bit undercooked and lacked flavor but if you prefer a less crispy Brussel sprout dish I would recommend it over the duck fat corn bread. The duck fat corn bread was disappointing. It was an odd combination of flavors that did not mix very well. The corn bread was mushy and the crisp Napa cabbage with the random ranch/spicy sauce combo did not pair well and left my mouth feeling confused. I had high expectations for their house made pasta as they had a pasta maker out for viewing. The pasta was overcooked and every bite was an interesting mix of flavors...some bites salty...some bites unseasoned. There was barely any meat present and overall we ended up not finishing our meal and wrapping up the night. The only good thing we had was the homemade soda that I did not get a picture of but I believe was the hibiscus one. Overall I would recommend this place for drinks but not dinner.

It was super olive oil forward, so it really reminded me of like the bread and olive oil with spices you get at other spots. But solid version of that, while still being super soft and spreadable. I was also super impressed with the hokkaido scallops. Not only were the scallops huge, but it was perfectly cooked all the way through. Really unique space in spring field area. Lots of couches around or you can sit at the bar. Also…read morehave a cute patio in the back! The menu is via QR code that takes you to their website and you can find wines, cocktails (with wine) and some beers. I tried the wine flight (Riesling, Cab Sav and an employees choice) which was delicious and a great way to try multiple options to find what you like. Also tried the frozen strawberry frozen marg which I unfortunately did not enjoy. It didn't have a lot of strawberry flavor, it tastes more like cherry medicine. Do want to mention that when it gets busy, it may be hard to find parking and the area is pretty sketchy (I didn't feel safe parking far and having to walk over. One time a homeless guy was yelling at me when I was walking on the sidewalk), so just be mindful and careful if you do park far and having to walk.

This was my brother's and my first time at Hawkers, and we'd both been wanting to try it for a…read morewhile. We were greeted right as we walked in and seated quickly. The decor and vibe definitely give Asian street market -- I loved the neon signs. Thomas was our server and he was friendly, quick, and attentive throughout. We ordered the Twice Fried Korean Wings, Bonchon, and Chili Crisp Cucumbers to share. The wings were delicious with the best crunch, almost like candied chicken wings. My only complaint is I expected more heat from the gochujang. The Bonchon is essentially a flight of pickled sides: sweet pickled cucumbers, sweet pickled carrots and daikon (similar to what you'd find on a Vietnamese banh mi), and a well-fermented kimchi with mild heat and great flavor. We also ordered the Hong Kong Wonton Soup, and thought we ordered "Chow Fun" noodles -- but "Chow Faan" is actually their fried rice dish. Word of caution: if you want their take on Chow Fun noodles, order the "Beef Haw Fun" instead. The star of the show was the Hong Kong Wonton Soup -- the broth was authentically Asian, distinctly different from a classic French-style broth built on onion, celery, and carrot mirepoix. It was so good we ordered another one to go and took it to our mom to enjoy. We will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes.

We went with everything that Shai recommended... the Curry chicken, the Kimchi steak, the Hibiscus Fizz drinks, the wontons and the appetizer bread!
