Maybe not the fanciest of charcuterie boards but certainly good. Such a cute wine bar in San Marco!! I booked a reservation for their back room for a book club meeting and it was such a cozy spot. The reservation process was super easy, when we got to Posting House we were directed to the back where comfy couches in a small reading nook awaited us. They had light bites, holiday cocktails, and a wine list available. The pimento pub cheese dip was delicious! The drinks were also very good, especially the cranberry orange spritz. Although there was only one staff member working, he made sure to check on us frequently and was very friendly. I also saw on their socials that they do a lot of events monthly which I love. The girls enjoyed Galentines at this establishment. It was our first time and we called several days in advance to reserve the back room at 4:30 on a Thursday. They had no problem with this and booked it through email. The G-day host was late so she called in an order for a charcuterie board to be served before she got there. I arrived promptly at 4:30 and they made us wait until 5pm for the room to be available. That was pretty irritating since we made great efforts(including signing kids out of school early) in order to arrive on time. We finally got sat and ordered a few drinks but no charcuterie board came until the group host came in person to pay for it. The food menu is very small, it's a wine bar so a if you're looking for dinner, just plan ahead because there are only snacks. There is a small cocktail menu, they have Kava drinks(though they don't list that it's a kava drink) and happy hour is like 2 dollars off certain drinks. Despite the irritating issues with the staff, we actually enjoyed ourselves while there. I can't say if I would go back or not. Maybe to meet someone but I definitely won't be choosing it for another girls night. read more

I've loved visiting Posting House ever since they opened years ago. When I found out they were hosting a Galentine's Event here a week prior, I was so elated! Last nights event with the dj, free charms for your wine glass, gusti samples to try, cute photo op areas, etc was so fun! Posting House had a giveaway on their instagram page, and they announced the winners last night while all of us were here. I think the only thing our group was slightly bummed about was the fact that we were told no food would be served or could be ordered, and then we kept seeing charcuterie boards being delivered to other patrons. But that is okay. We had 2-3 glasses of wine here, and ate at a nearby place , continuing to support local in the San Marco area : ) All of us had an amazing time. The photographer who helped promote this Galentine's day event did a very good job, we all came out to support her and posting house, connect with eachother; it was a successful night! We were exploring the San Marco area while visiting Jax last weekend and a friend took us to Posting House for some drinks. This is such a cozy, relaxing spot to sip on some wine. They weren't too crowded and we were able to get one of the comfy sofas toward the back. It was a cold night and the vibes here were just right as we enjoyed a good cab. This is a great spot to hang with friends or have a nice date night. It's also walking distance to a lot of the other cool bars in the area if you want to hop around. Posting House is super cute! I attended their Galentines party and already can't wait to go back. The inside is small and cozy, but I love that there is a back section with comfy chairs for a group. DJ Furry Dice (lol) was pumping out all the girl anthems. This event was so fun. I loved that they had Gusti samples (a great French sparkling wine sold locally) and wine charms for everyone to take home. They were super, super busy and the bartenders were hustling. When I first got there I ordered a glass of bordeaux, but the bartender told me they didn't have it anymore. I asked if they still had the Cab on tap, but they didn't have that either. I went with the Simi Cab (which I've had before and knew I liked), but was hoping to try something new. I had the little bottle of Gusti for my second drink (I think it's 1.5 glasses). It definitely got very warm inside because there were so many people, so the crisp rose was refreshing! I can't wait to go here for happy hour on a regular night when it is much more chill. They also do jazz on Sundays! I heard they have great cheese boards and my fav pimento cheese from Town Hall, so I'm definitely looking forward to going back for that soon. This was an easy place to just sit back and relax. Clean, comfortable feel- we sat on the front patio, just a handful of tables, the tile flooring catches the eye. Light breeze was just right. Everyone got a beer and I had a cider. We each had our own little tables. It was simply a comfortable, casual vibe. They did have a few food items- that I didn't look to closely at because we had just ate- but they had a great wine list and several beer choices. My to do list is lighter as I finally stopped in to the The Posting House. It is just as cute and intimate as the pictures I've seen. Service was friendly and the place seemed very clean. No coffee or tea this night so I see they have a Changing beer menu with Florida Breweries. I choose a IPA from Playlinda Brewery in Titusville. It was light and crisp. Really enjoyed chilling with friends on the patio where we enjoyed tunes from the speakers and catchup conversation. I have been here more times that I can count and always forget to leave a review and take photos. This is one of my favorite places to go and just hang out in Jacksonville. The options here are limited to beer and wine, but I actually like this for the fact that the establishment tends to be more on the quiet side and not rowdy. Light bites are served, but this is walking distance to plenty of restaurants, so if you're looking for a big meal, this is a great spot to go to before or after dinner. Every time I have come here, I have been served by a different bartender, but they have been top notch every single time. Tonight's bartender was Scott'T and he was top notch. I came here to have a drink and catch up with a friend and he frequently checked on us to make sure we had enough drinks and snacks. Posting House is such a cool spot located in San Marco. We have been here twice now and we actually like the atmosphere. Parking is not bad too since you can park in Publix and it's just across the street. We went here for the fist time on a Saturday evening, they were having silent disco which was pretty cool since I have never been or even tried it. but my friends and I did not do it we just hang out outside and ordered drinks and they actually have a pretty great selection of music playing that evening. The next day we went here for their trivia, it says that their trivia starts at 4pm but it did not start until 5pm becuase the England was playing. I love the decor they did at Posting House especially the cozy seating towards the end of the place. Bathroom is always clean too which I am very impressed. If you are looking for a place to hang out with your friends you should definitely need to try this place. read more

So, this is crazy. Walked in at about 6:30 on a Wednesday night. Two guys at the bar with beers and sat at a table. The girl behind the bar did not say a word or acknowledge I was there. Now, this place is the size of a Master Bedroom in a middle clack home. So after about 10 minutes, I went up to the bar and grabbed a beer and wine list, from right in front of the bartender and she never acknowledged me! I went back to the table and sat down. She kept unpacking AC filters from a box and just acted as if I was not there. So I finally called her over and asked for a beer. No hello, no welcome, no thank you! I soon got my beer. About 10 minutes later my buddy shows up and he walks by her and she does not acknowledge him either! Why? Get this, because she is sitting down reading a book! Reading is good, but why, with three, now four people in the bar, would you not get up and ask someone if they need service. After 10 minutes, he got up and went to the bar to order his beer! As a few people came in after us, they all had to order from the bar and were met with this same complete lack of enthusiasm or concern. Well, we had about three beers each and we often sat there with empty pint glasses while she had nothing to do except read her novel! At one point, three pretty ladies walked in and sat at a table. They seemed like they were taking in the surroundings but eventually got up and left because the bartender never came over, said hello or anything. One gal was shaking her head as they left! Come on folks, it's hard to generate revenue on just beer and wine! At least make people feel welcome and appreciated. I will never be back! It was unbelievably disrespectful! read more

This was recommended by a friend who really enjoyed it. I was excited about the idea of an English pub nearby, but it is far from an English pub (only English inspired). The decor is very nice (what you'd expect in San Marco), but it's a bit pricey (also what you'd expect in San Marco). They have some interesting beers and lambics. They're bar food is delivered by a place that specializes in beer pairings (food/snacks were okay). They don't have any English beers on tap (just bottles), which I thought was weird for an "English inspired" pub. Update: the owner quickly responded to my review. He was very nice and was sorry I didn't have a 5-star experience. He let me know they have 1 of 2 English beers on tap (my mistake). Although, I gave them a 3 star review, I don't interpret 3 stars a bad (i.e. more of "meh" or okay). I wasn't overly impressed, but check it out and see for yourself...you may love it just like my friend did. read more

Owners are British, thus the theme and feel. Posting houses across the pond are where you'd go to place (or "post") your bets. Having said that, this is the exact opposite of what I imagine an off track betting establishment to feel like. The bartender was superb; very patient with first timers. This is currently my favorite bar in town. An English style pub with a fantastic beer and wine selection but that's not even the best part. They've begun a sherry program, which includes a flight, and is something totally unique. On Valentine's Day they served La Crema sparkling rose and it was wonderful. Tucked away on the main stretch of Hendricks is this cute little English pub! The owners are so friendly, and although they only have wine and beer, they have a great selection and the vibe is refreshingly different for the area. I love the ambiance and it's quiet enough that you can hear people you're conversing with, but not so quiet you feel out of place. They also have a Sherry flight that was a neat option, and I like that they have BrewBox food options (cheese/charcuterie) to nibble on while enjoying your beverage.
