The draping they did on my wedding tent was beyond my expectations!! I had my wedding at Robinswood House in Bellevue and rented a 20x40 tent. When I walked into it, I literally breathed a sigh of relief. The draping on the ceiling was stunning and perfect, and I had a special request to have some piped draping hung on the back wall of the tent to create a wall between the back tables and the outdoor restrooms and it was so perfect! My planner Julia Pavlovski of Wedding Wise Seattle dealt with them on the business end, but she seemed really happy with the work they did during set up and break down. read more

Avoid them for your important events, unless you want it to be messed up. We unfortunately used prop gallery for our wedding without actually reading reviews here. They missed on installing entire backdrop for our reception and did not provide the wedding backdrop as we were promised and as was drafted in contract. My wife left voice message the next day asking for why the backdrop wasn't installed, but they never replied to her. I sent a feedback email to them (specifically Greg Olsen) about the things they missed in decoration from the contract but again no response. I wanted to give them a chance to get back with some explaination before I posted the review online, but I guess they don't care enough to reply back as well. Very prompt in deducting the money from your credit card as per contract but not prompt in service. Having said that for me it isn't much about money rather than running an ethical business. Also weddings are once in a life time events and you don't want that to be messed up like this. I totally agree with others who have given low rating. Not sure how they are in business. read more

I suppose my review is similar to the previous 2 star review. I experienced the same service - great first meeting with the representative taking (seemingly?) extensive notes in regards to what I wanted as far as decorations. I felt very confident after meeting, with the rep telling me she would get an estimate to be within a week. More than a week later, I still had not heard from heard. After e-mailing for an update, she e-mailed back letting me know she had been super busy with their "biggest event of the year" that occurred the past week. This kind of frustrated me - if she knew the event was taking place, why did she give me such a short time frame for when I would receive the estimate? I was pretty surprised by how high the prices were....not that I know how much decorations cost. After reviewing the estimate, I found that a few things that we had discussed were left off. I e-mailed back, requesting a new estimate, and didn't hear back for several weeks. After finally getting the second estimate, I did some researching on the cost of some things and found that what she quoted for accessories was at-cost, if not more. I understand they would have to purchase some of the things I requested, but charging me the same amount they paid just to rent the items? I'm sure they were items that would be able to rent out in the future. Taking another look at the wedding budget, I decided a few things would need to taken off my wishlist. I e-mailed again, apologizing that their prices were just too much for my budget, but would still like to use them. I cut out enough things to bring the estimate down (with a total still being around $3,000). She e-mailed back with, "So essentially what you are looking for from Prop Gallery is just..." That sentence right there (using "essentially" and "is just") made me feel like me spending $3000 on their services just wasn't worth their time, whether or not that was the intention - we all know how e-mails can misrepresent tone/attitude. So, I'll be taking my services elsewhere and hope they appreciate $3,000. P.S. The 5 star review? Let's just say the name looks pretty darn familiar. read more

If you're looking for decor such as pipe & draping, then Prop Gallery is a decent option. They have a wide variety of choices at reasonable prices. I coordinated a wedding and Greg was responsive and helpful. The end result for the ceremony backdrop was just as described, set-up and tear-down was done punctually and in a timely manner. The only down side was that during tear-down, the Prop Gallery team on-site insisted items such as vases that the bride & groom provided belonged to Prop Gallery. Fortunately I had a copy of the estimate where none of these items were listed and ended up involving the bride to make sure which items belonged to her. That is attempted theft. The lead guy, I believe his name was Omar, lied to me and told me, while looking at his copy of the contract that those vases belonged to them. As if that weren't bad enough, without my knowledge, the couple agreed with Greg to have flowers done due to Prop Gallery's $1500 minimum order. Floral arrangements were promised by Greg and the first mock-up photo, provided the day before the wedding looked nothing at all like the inspiration photos provided. Their florist did some adjustments and really worked hard to meet the couple's expectations and I commend him for that as it seems as though Greg left his florist to fail by providing him with incorrect information. Once an agreement to provide floral arrangements was met, the designer should have contacted the couple to ensure they could provide what was expected. Things such as substituting flowers that aren't in season were not explained to the couple until the day before the wedding. I regret not being informed of this decision to have Prop Gallery provide flowers when the decision was made, as I would have advised my clients to look elsewhere for floral. Onto the delivery of the centerpieces. The flowers were not adequate. I'm no florist but the arrangements were quite lackluster, some flowers dying, and a large amount fell out of the green foam oasis when simply moving the arrangement from the rack to the vase. The stems were cut to no more than 1 inch long, it was a hack job and completely unacceptable. The centerpieces were to sit on a clear vase and when done so, the green tray the arrangement sat in was completely visible and hideous. Fortunately I found an amazing florist last minute who purchased more flowers and re-esembled all 18 centerpieces. She also had to fix several of the corasges Prop Gallery provided as the flowers fell off within minutes after wearing them. She also re-did the bridal bouquet as that consisted of dead flowers. As for the way the arrangements sat on the vases, she used clear trays, made it secure, and added a lovely touch with floating rose petals to hide the clear plastic trays. In summation: knock yourself out with rentals, but be careful they don't steal any of the decor you bring in yourself. Absolutely do not use this vendor for flowers. I cannot imagine what the ceremony and reception would have been - flowers with 1 inch stems falling out and dying everywhere you look. read more

I'm a florist and was called in last minute to recover a wedding done by the company. They day of, they dropped off atrocious personal flowers and when confronted over the quality and mechanics of their work the man simply said, there isn't anything I can do. I spent 8 hours redoing every single piece provided by them. Getting into the mechanics may not make sense to non florists but it was the worst thing I have ever seen in 16 years in the industry. Their arrangements just crumbled, they were structurally unsound and not at all what the bride wanted. Thankfully I was able to recover the wedding but I can't help but feel absolutely awful for the bride and her distress experienced on what should be a very happy day. I can't emphasize enough how bad this was. run! read more

I could not agree more with the last couple reviews about this company. I am actually not sure how they are still in business when they don't EVER respond to potential clients who are interested in their services. Our initial meeting in person went great with Greg, he seemed motivated to accommodate our needs for our wedding planned this summer. He said he would get us a proposal within the next few days after our meeting in February. WE had to email him ~ 2 weeks later to follow up since we didn't ever get the proposal. They tried to say they "had the wrong email address".....After countless attempts at emailing him to follow up with no response, we are taking our business elsewhere. I have tried to email every person in the company to get someone to answer some questions, with no response....this was ~6 weeks ago...still nothing. I would not recommend wasting your time trying to use this company! read more

I was really wanting to hire this company based on the pictures I have seen from their events and their pricing but after my poor experience with them, I decided not to. Reasons: Lack of communication Changes the price on you Im gonna say it - the owner Greg is SUPER sketchy! In the beginning, everything was fine. Nice guy, wanted to hear my vision of the reception. I told him when my wedding was and what I was expecting. He sent me a quote of items that I would like - I told him all I wanted was a fabric backdrop. He kept trying to sell me other things that I might need but I was very adamant that all I needed was the backdrop. Then I changed my mind and wanted to add a stage as well. We'll get into this stage part later. Greg took forever to respond to emails. When you're in a business that's needing months and years out to plan, you should respond ASAP especially if it's a client that's already making plans with you to hire your services. Alright, the stage part. So obviously as a customer, you're going to shop around and compare prices. That's what I did and the same stage dimensions from a different company (Grand Event Rentals) was cheaper than what Greg was quoting me. I explained to him that I was wanting to hire the stage from his company but if he could price match it. He said that the owner of that company was his friend and to see if he can try to work something out. I was hopeful! Instead, he quoted me for their services and his! It was ridiculous. Speaking of pricing, Greg would say one thing and then go back on it. For example, we agreed on a price for the fabric backdrop that I wanted and when he sent me an updated quote, the price went up. I asked him why and I never heard back. He totally ghosted out on me! See, I'm not that type of girl who's gonna wait around to hear back or not. And you guessed it, he never emailed me back. Yup, ladies and gentlemen, he never emailed me back why he changed the price on me and charged me more so I went ahead and booked a different company (Rented Elegance). For a bride planning her own wedding, I couldn't put my wedding plans on hold to see if I would get a response from Greg or not. That was very unprofessional and rude of him! Fast forward to the month of May 2017 (my wedding month!) I get an email from Greg. He was asking what he could do to get my business. REALLY?!!!!! THE NERVE! He didn't even bother to acknowledge the last email I sent in November 2016 asking why he was charging me a different price but he was still wanting my business... mind you, asking during the month of my wedding? Like does he not think that I would have my plans down already? Needless to say, I did not respond to that dumb email. If you're smart and value your time and respect yourself, you should stay away from this "business". You'll thank yourself later. read more

I am a Wedding and Event Planner. I hired Prop Gallery to help assist with the ceiling and wall decorations for my client's son's 13th golden birthday which was a "Friday the 13th" birthday party. Prop Gallery took the vision of my client's and I and made it come to life. My client's were so overjoyed when they arrive and saw the decor. They were incredible!! I had the same experience as the previous two reviews, the rep from Prop Gallery seemed super organized at our pre-event meetings, but it took over a month to just get an estimate back from them when they said they would give me an estimate within a week. That's a long time when you're planning a wedding and when other decor vendors get back to you within a couple days. However, I did get estimates from 3 other decor vendors in the Seattle area for my wedding, but Prop Gallery definitely had the cheaper rates. On the wedding day, Prop Gallery definitely messed up a lot of my requests. I don't know if they forgot, or if they were just trying to cut down on some their expedatures. Lucky for them, I wasn't too much a bridezilla, it was good enough, and every one still had a good time, and things still looked pretty nice, even though almost nothing was how I requested (except the table cover color). I suspect that because the decor I specified from them was relatively simple (300+ wedding but only ordered table covers, center peices, and stage drapery, ~$2000-3000) compared to the other clients they've had with larger fantastic requests, they didn't put too much effort into getting everything exactly as I requested. But if you are someone who wants every thing to be perfect, exactly how you visioned, and want to be able to have quick communication with your decor vendor, you may not want to place your wedding/event in the hands of Prop Gallery. Prop Gallery definitely has some communication difficulties, they take forever to get back to you, which is super annoying when you're planning a wedding. However, if you plan to spend a great deal of money, I'm sure they will do a good job at your event. I do have to give them credit for the cleanup and their overall flexibility. Our wedding ended a little later than expected and the tables were a mess when they came to get their stuff, in which I'm sure they had to spend a little more effort than I payed for... Also, they let us give them heavy furniture and other stuff to transport and set up at the wedding for no additional cost. They are nice people and their work was good enough for me, but again, not for a bride that wants everything perfect. read more

I have had multiple pipe/drape and lighting installations that have all come out in budget, on time and the set up crew have been wonderful in every way. They have even come to me day of and said they changed a couple of things to make sure it was the vision we discussed for my clients. We recently had Greg and his team transform our High School Gym into a beautiful, classic and magical setting for our school auction celebrating our 125th Anniversary. We have actually used Prop Gallery for several years now and depend on him, his teams creative services and extensive fabric, prop and decor inventory to help us create the perfect backdrop and ambiance for whatever our theme may be. From our pre-event communications and planning sessions, to installment and tear down, everything has gone smoothly and according to plan. Greg is always easy to reach whether by phone or email and is flexible with our changes and requests. He is also very responsive to working within our budget. We feel so fortunate that we can hold this event at our school and transform our gym into an amazing event space. It saves us so much money and logistical hassles not having to go off site to a hotel, thus increasing our net revenue from the auction.
