We hired her for our wedding, and I wish we would have went with someone else. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of her. I would email her over and over again. Call. And I would get a response a few days/weeks later. And her response was always "I'm sorry I've been so busy". Which I understand. But that's why my husband and I hired this company because their job is to do this. It was very stressful when we didn't hear things for weeks. We also talked about cake flavors via email and come to find out on our wedding date, she never ordered one. I mean. Why would we talk about cake flavors and then not add it to the bill?! It was my fault also for not double checking the bill. What wedding doesn't have a cake!?!? When I called her , because she just left without saying anything, all she said was "all I can do is bring a fake cake". How are my guests going to eat this. So I had family run out and buy a few cakes. It was embarrassing . Being a nurse working 12 hours shifts at night, working 4-5 days a week. It was hard to meet up. Because I work 7pm to 7 am. So when I emailed her a few times to fill out the layout for the reception, she never replied. My husband called her a few times and she said to re-email it back. But did I ever get a response? No. I ended up just filling out the layout myself. When I asked her what her PayPal account name was, that's when I got a response right away. Seriously , I would not recommend them to anyone. Which is a shame, because my sister hired them a few years ago and they did fabulous. I'm not sure what happened for my wedding but it was awful. Very unfortunate. read more

We hired Quynh Dao to decorate my parents' home for a tea ceremony. My parents specifically requested red/yellow colors and no white flowers, given that white flowers are often viewed as funeral flowers in Vietnamese culture. On the first day of decorating, Quynh arrived eight hours late and failed to communicate her tardiness with my parents. Only after several attempts to call Quynh, did she finally communicate that she was running late. On the day before the tea ceremony, Quynh was supposed to deliver flowers and set up the floral arch. Instead, a gentleman from her team arrived 5 - 6 hours late. The flowers he brought for the arch were white flowers. He continued setting up despite my parents expressing this was not what they asked for. He deconstructed everything only after I asked. The flowers delivered for the ancestors' altar also were not what we asked for nor did they look fresh. They looked like centerpieces reused from another event the night prior - and nowhere near was it appropriate for a Vietnamese tea ceremony. After putting everything in his truck, he stated Quynh would come by. My mom requested that she at least bring the Vu Quy sign to hang in front of the home. I was at home waiting to speak with Quynh. She blamed my mom for lack of communication and even went a step further to state that the design of the floral arch brought earlier is something that a lot of her clients enjoyed. She had no answer when I asked her whether she took notes on my mom's preferences during their initial meeting. When I reminded her that my parents specifically requested no white flowers, she responded that the flowers she brought weren't like the white color used at funerals. My mom later called to ask whether the gentleman would return to hang the Vu Quy sign. Quynh said yes but the gentleman was a no-show, so my dad had to hang the sign himself. Also during that same call, Quynh blamed my mom again for poor communication. The good things that came out of working with Quynh were the decorations she provided for the ancestors' altar, dining table drapery, and staircase decorations. Overall, my family and I were extremely disappointed in Quynh's professionalism: 1) Failed to decorate my parents' home according to their specific requests (red/yellow colors, no white flowers) 2) Failed to show up on time to the two scheduled appointments (8 hours and 5-6 hours late per appointment) and furthermore failed to communicate her tardiness 3) Failed to follow through on agreements (e.g. did not hang up the sign although she agreed to) 4) Quynh also lacked receptiveness to feedback. She was resistant to swapping out the white flowers and furthermore blamed the customer for poor communication. read more

I agree about sometimes having to wait a couple of days for an email response, but when she did, all questions and concerns were taken care of. We gave Quynh some ideas we were looking into and what we liked, and she brought it to life perfectly! I was surprised at how many different styles of chairs, center pieces, curtains, etc. she had. Also, she asked about our budget and did everything she could to keep the price in that range, without compromising the beauty of it all. I worked with Ms. Tran throughout 7 months before our wedding date, met up with her 3 times to talk about the details. She was very sweet and kind. She was also very professional; we discussed my envision of our wedding in details and she took notes throughout each meeting. On the day of our wedding, she did a WONDERFUL job. Her work is beautiful, and she designed our reception hall, ceremony hall, rented chairs and she also did flowers for me, my groom, my bridesmaids, and groomsmen. Her décor was very beautiful and was exactly how we talked about. She was so calm throughout the whole process, very sweet and polite. I enjoyed every minute of our meetings with her. I was referred to Quynh at Pearl Studio by my neighbor whose wedding I had recently attended. Her wedding was beautiful and the classy decor was absolutely elegant. I helped my brother and new sis-in-law set up a meeting with Quynh who was very responsive to both email and phone. She was super sweet from the very beginning and made us feel very comfortable. Quynh was interested in what look the couple wanted to achieve and let us take control. Quynh never veered us in any direction or posed her ideas on us, she was super informative and confident of her work. She answered every single one of our questions and made sure all the details were finalized to our satisfaction. This business is the absolute worst! Back in January, we ran into this little shop while driving by. We decided to check it out, because their window display caught our eyes for some decor we were looking for our upcoming big event. Walked right in to check out their inventory, Quynh assisted us with some questions, and even took down our contact information to reach back out to us about our event (which she said she would call/email us within the next week). A month passed and we still haven't heard from Quynh - we were still in major need for decor! Tried to contact Quynh again. No answer. She sent out a text saying she was out of the country and will be returning in 10 days. Letting the days go by (21 days later, to be exact), I decided to contact her again to follow up, via text. Asked her if she was still available for the date of our event, she said yes, and answered a few of our questions about the decor and pricing. Tried to set up a consultation date and it took a while for her to reply. We set up a consultation date, via her website. A few days later, she contacted me saying the date we reserved she could no longer do, due to a last minute event. So our meeting day got pushed over some more (about 2 weeks out). Finally, we met with her for our consultation, during after hours. That day she was running late, 30 minutes late. Waited in our car in the pouring rain. She finally arrived and started taking notes for the decor we had in mind. During our appointment, two people came up to the door to peek in (mind you, this is AFTER HER BUSINESS HOURS), Quynh rudely paused our appointment to go open the door for them while they asked questions and looked around in the middle of our appt consultation!! We finished our meeting and she said to email her with some pictures samples of decor we wanted so she can start on a quote for us (which she said would be done by the weekend). A week goes by, no email/phone call/text from Quynh regarding our quote. I text her, she replies "thank you for reminding me, I will try to finish it soon". Another week goes by, 2 weeks and still nothing. To the point where we gave up! One of us stopped by the shop a few weeks later, Quynh wasn't there, but her sister was and reminded her that we haven't heard from Quynh after our consultation. The sister said she will report back to Quynh. NOTHING. Texts and calls ignored. We believe that she didn't we want to help us with our big event, maybe because neither of us are Vietnamese - felt like she was racist towards us and only picks and chooses her customers. She could've at least informed us, instead of keeping us waiting while our event date got closer and closer! If I could rate this ZERO stars I would! read more

Quynh was incredible. The main things our guests couldn't stop raving about were: amazing food, amazing decoration, amazing cake, and amazing venue. Two of which were completely handled by Quynh (decoration and cake). It might seem odd to some but during our meetings, most of the ideas and decoration design happened verbally. Although we were worried about how the event would turn out, our concerns were completely blown away by how incredible the venue looked after Quynh put her special touches to it. I still don't know how she remembered such small details from our short meetings months before the wedding. I highly recommend not micro-managing the design and just let her do what she does best. Design the most stunning venue decorations in WA. Not only that but her cake maker is a miracle worker. With nothing but a picture and a flavor as a guideline, they made such a beautiful and delicious cake. Quynh is great - really easy to work with and honest. She will tell you if she does not think something will be a great fit and recommend another option. I gave her some pinterest ideas and she was able to take that and run with it. I am so happy with the results. For reference, I had hired her for wedding floral arrangements (bouquet, centerpieces, big arrangements as an 'arch' for ceremony, flowers for the groom and parents, and the toss bouquet) and wedding cake. A very bad experience with them!!! My wedding is on October 2017. I been communicated with Quynh ( the owner) since July,2017 regarding my wedding decoration. I remember she was late 30 minutes at our first meeting. After the 1st meeting I had been remind her again and again for the quote. Finally she sent it to me. It's really hard to get a response from her. No matter a message, phone, voice mail or email. And a lot of time she even not in her shop. I totally understand she is busy as she is owner of the shop. I am not expecting to get the reply right away. However, she still should reply to her customer . On 09/10/2017. This is 3rd time I met with her at my wedding venue. There are something change about the decoration. I asked for the final quote. And she promise to me that she will send it to me within 2 days. A week passed by. I still haven't get any reply from her. So I called her for the updates. She was not picking up a phone as usual. I left her a voice message and text her. Still not responding until my fiancé call her a week before our wedding. She said she was busy and just forgot the quote. How can she even forgot something on some one's big day. I was so mad and disappointed. Because this date will be happened once in my life. Then we canceled everything from her. I was stressed a week before my wedding. Even thought I try to plan everything ahead. However, something happened that we can't control. Above is my experience with them. I suggest each of you if you have signed a contract with them.
