Such a great find for us! We have been taking our 4 year old to gymnastics for the last couple of months (on saturdays) and she absolutely loves going and looks forward to coming. Some parents stay, some drop off ( we do a mix of both). It is a treat to stay and watch all the kids have fun and interact. We loved it so much we had our daughter's 4th birthday party there and was able to introduce MY GYM to a bunch of new people who came out for the Party. We're excited to do one of the many camps and parents night out events. Location is great for us, it's only a 10 - 15 min drive. Review for the Presidents' Day day camp! I grew up in Kent and my parents still live there so I've seen My Gym for years... My son's cousin was registered for the Presidents' Day day camp so we decided to register him, too! It was $49 for a 3 hour drop off session. The camp included games, open play free time use of the space, crafts, and more with other kids and teachers. Upon first look everything looked really clean and safe! My son was a little nervous to be left without me on the sidelines, but when I returned I could tell he formed a comfy relationship with the teachers working and they mentioned how well he did during the duration of the camp. We've never done something like this so I'm glad to have it on my radar for school breaks! They also host "parents night out" events where you're able to drop the kids off and go on a date night - which is a really fun alternative to keeping the kids at home with a sitter. Worth noting that kiddos need to be potty trained and able to separate from parents in order to attend the drop off camps. We'll definitely be bringing my son back in the future! read more

I can't say enough good things about My Gym in Kent. My 2 year old son has never enjoyed being around other kids his age and I think taking him to the weekly class has slowly got him to be more comfortable around interacting with his peers. Miss Courtney and Miss Stephanie lead his class and they are so thoughtful, high energy, and FUN! It is clear they both love what they do and love each of the kids like family. My son is highly intelligent, and with that intelligence comes intense stubbornness and an attitude of wanting to do things his way. Thank you to both Miss Courtney and Miss Stephanie for never giving up on him or becoming frustrated when he wants to go and do his own thing! I also really like the way they keep the gym space fresh by rotating all of the activities (ie, the slide, ball pit, trampoline) to different areas and they make little structures that kids can climb and explore. This changes weekly and it keeps the space new and inviting for the kids. I think Miss Courtney owns the gym so if you have any questions or want to talk to the owner, ask for her. Again, she truly treats the children like her own and as a parent enrolling your kid in any activity, isn't that ultimately what you are looking for? She provides a safe and engaging environment for many different age groups and all her staff are just as energetic and passionate as her! Our family joined My Gym Kent during the pandemic when it felt like no other place was taking masking and sanitizing seriously. We immediately fell in love with this My Gym Kent. The equipment is top-notch and the staff are even better. Every class is run so well and so smoothly. We initially enrolled our 2 year old son, who has made so many friends and really grown in both his social skills and his physical abilities. We have since also enrolled our almost 7 year old son who was getting "jealous" of all the fun little brother was having at My Gym. The older kid classes are just as wonderful! He has enjoyed exploring classes he isn't particularly gifted/experienced at, like gymnastics and hip hop, and he has been very welcomed and encouraged in those classes! Since we have been members, the gym has become women-owned and women-operated. That's icing on the cake! We would wholeheartedly recommend My Gym Kent to any parent in the area. We had our daughter's 7th birthday party here this past weekend. Ms. Stephanie was absolutely AMAZiNG and her energy level was incredible! She kept the kids entertained with lots of dancing and games. Our daughter loved being pulled in a lil chariot and parade around the circle of her friends while they were shouting "Happy Birthday" & giving her high fives! Her favorite part was swinging on the swing while everyone sang the Happy Birthday song to her. She definitely felt like the STAR of the party and did not want it to end! We went with the highest premier birthday package, 1 hour playing/games & 30 mins for food/cake for up to 25 kids. They provided: 1/2 sheet cake, paper plates/forks/napkins, table covers & balloon decorations. Each child could take home a balloon after the party. Everything they provided fit the unicorn theme perfectly even the cake they ordered had a unicorn on it & the marble flavor was so good! Only wish that the sitting area for adults/children was bigger, kids were bummed the zip-line was not working and our package included a special birthday gift from my gym but they were all out of T-shirts her size (small) Overall, her birthday party was so much fun & we're so happy we had it at My Gym! read more

My sons first day was today! We loved it my mother in laws business is right next to them and she always mentioned how we should sign him up so now that he's 3 we thought it's the best time! Also because he just started listening better!!! I loved every minute of it!!! The circle time, music, dancing, color, exercises, social and listening skills, play time they do it all!!! My son and I can't wait to come back again next week!!! We are so looking forward to our son improving on his social, learning and listening skills! My girls joined MYGYM this year at age 5. I love the change in them. Before, I think they thought sharing was an evil thing I made up to torture them. They love to go, they went three days in a row this week and loved it. Each week, they change the layout of the gym and "freshen" the look and feel. The kids work on skills "blocks" and different abilities to strengthen their bodies and build on social skills and awareness. One thing I haven't taught them is FIRE SAFETY, safety plan check, where to meet, check!, STOP DROP ROLL NO!! They learned that this week. So not only are they having fun, learning valuable social skills about personal space, sharing, taking turns and friendship, but important safety tips as well. We just finished our first six weeks and our daughter loves My Gym. I can easily say we'll continue going here for a long time to come! The staff are engaging and above all patient and kind. They understand every child is different and don't force anything. The class has a great balance between just enough structure and free play. I am constantly impressed as they seem to remember every child's name in the class, which truly shows they care! We started taking our Son here when he was about 6 months old, it was great being able to get him out and interacting with some other children. The classes always kept him engaged and the coaches are fun and great with all the kids. We recently had his 2nd birthday party here and it was amazing! We had an age range from about 8 months to 5-6 year's old, they were able to keep all the kids entertained and there was never a dull moment. This was the first time I saw my 2 year old grandson in the my gym program. I was very impressed with the program since I am a ECE teacher. The children where engaged and participating. There was never a moment that the children where ever bored and wondering. Considering that a two year has a attention span of a gnat. I liked how the parents or grandparents had to participate. If a child wonder that they where redirected back to their parent, very appropriate. No child where forced to do an activity that they did not want to do. The teaching team was very appropriate. We had our 2 year old son's birthday party here. The staff were very friendly and really know how to engage all of the kids whose age ranged from 1-9. They handled all of the setup and clean up. We had the whole place booked for 1.5 hours for up to 18 kids for $285. We added facepainting for an extra $20. All of the kids had lots of fun. Well worth the money. Highly recommended. read more

I haven't been as impressed as I was hoping for, and for a number of reasons. To be fair, this assessment has nothing to do with the girls working there and mostly just to do with the business model itself. With that said; my biggest issues are as follows: I don't care much for the initial five to ten minutes of sitting in the circle with the other woman and children. Kids don't seem so excited by it and seem more interested in going and playing. (I have been in the little tykes class and the waddlers) It seems to me more of a mothers "get to know each other" time, than for the kids. Frankly, I'm not paying approx seventy bucks a month to make friends. I'm there for my kids and that's all. Next, there was a point with the "separation time" that didn't work for my kid. She cried when I would leave her alone and it was always a point for the girls to bring her back over there with the other kids to be alone. I think forced separation time is abusive; and although I'm sure they are not making you do it, its common place and expected that your child separates from you for their own good. I think the staff should tell mothers and fathers that they can put their kids in separation if they are comfortable with it. I find the biggest thing lacking from my gym is proper communication: not all parents parents the same and this should be more obvious in their curriculum. And lastly, their billing racket. I needed to cancel my account because I was starting work again and wasn't sure my schedule would work taking my daughter to classes. The staff suggested I freeze my account for two months just in case my work schedule would allow me to take her to future classes and if it didn't work to let them know and they could cancel my account. Apparently though, I had to be charged a final payment before my account could be frozen. So basically I was charged for something I couldn't even take my daughter to (isn't that the whole point of freezing your account????) Then after realizing that my work schedule was not going to work with taking my daughter to class I called to cancel my membership completely. The staff told me that per the agreement that I can cancel my account but I will be charged for another month (which means my daughter gets another four classes that I cant take her to) I am aware that the agreement I signed stated this, but experiencing it is a while other situation, It basically means that you need to know a month BEFORE you need to freeze or cancel your account. So if something comes up unexpectedly , realize that you will be charged another month whether you can use it or not. Seems to me the company is not confident enough in there program that they need to take extra money from parents after they desire to freeze or cancel their account. A hundred and forty dollars wasted on my end makes me highly unlikely to take my daughter back to my gym or other children or suggest it to any friends. read more

We had our 6 year old's birthday party here and it was an absolute blast! The two party hosts did a fantastic job with keeping the kids entertained and the games they played were tailored to her theme (trolls). We went for the upgraded party package that included the cake and it was worth it. They did a trolls cupcake cake and it was so cute and the best part was we didn't have to cut the cake! I can't comment on the classes because we only did the party but I would totally recommend it as a place to hold a child's party as it was so stress free. The only grip I had (and minus one star) was that we got the highest package and was supposed to get a t-shirt, present for b-day kid and other perks, but received none of it. If you do the upgraded package, just be sure to keep on top of it and ask the staff at the end of the party as I'm sure they probably aren't going to willingly give you these things unless they really have to. ; ) read more

This place is amazing! My daughter has been going for 3.5 years and my son for about 6 months. The owners and coaches are incredible! They are upbeat, kind and truly care about the kids. My kids learn new social, mental and physical skills in every class! Plus, we've met some of our very best friends in this place! It holds a special place in our hearts!! My Gym Kent is great! My daughter attended classes for a few months and loved it there. Unfortunately, we had to stop going because we moved away. The teachers there are great, really love playing with the kids, and are so kind and caring. Ms. Stephanie was the best (not sure if she is still in India or not)! I have also been to the My Gym Bellevue, and there is a noticeable difference between the My Gym Kent teachers vs. the My Gym Bellevue teachers - the Kent instructors are way better! read more

We went today for a birthday party. The staff were friendly and fun. They did a great job with the kids and interacting with them on a personal level. The gym itself was great fun and my 4 year old and my 2 year old loved every minute. The place was really clean. The toys and activities are very age appropriate and I didn't have to worry to much about kids getting hurt. Wish the space was a little bigger but other then that it was a great experience and we will be back soon. read more

I take my kids places all day long every day, and My Gym in Kent is by far our favorite. We have memberships to every gym, museum, and kid fun place in the state of WA, and their classes and preschool are the best. They are not only fun, but your kids learn new skills every time. The classes alternate structure and free play every few minutes, the instructors set up skill stations throughout the class, there is music, dancing, puppet shows, games, and they are always different. They even change the layout every week, so it feels like there is new equipment to explore and climb all the time. The best thing about my gym in Kent are the instructors. Amazing sweet, high energy fun people, whom my kids love. I can't think of better people for my kids to spend time with and learn from. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. We had my daughter's 5th birthday party here and WOW, just wow! The staff was absolutely fantastic, fun, friendly, high energy and super organized (with all those kids it was very impressive)! They called me a week before the party to review decorations, cake and any special things we or my daughter wanted. They followed through on everything. The entire place is clean, colorful and fun. Worth every penny for the Premier Package. They handled everything and the kids had so much fun. Sooo I ended up canceling membership at My Gym. I felt that after I signed up and went to a couple classes, the teachers started treating my daughter differently because she would not sit down during the circle time. I mean, come on, my daughter was not even 3 years old at the time and I felt their expectation was too high for her age and understanding. Not fair to a small child to put them to sit in the lobby watching the other kids play just because she won't sit during circle time? I was completely OFFENDED at this "suggestion". Give me a break. After I spoke to the director it seemed a little better, but only for a class or two. The teachers definitely have their favorite kids and it's easy to tell once you go to a few classes. I don't suggest enrolling a "high-energy" toddler. Is there another kind? Either enroll your child from when they are young so they already know what to do, or wait until they are older and understand more about following directions. read more

My son loves coming here. He is 4 years old and has been going for a little over a year now. Prior to this we tried the Jungle Gym in Burien, The Little Gym in Tukwila/Kent, and Gymboree in Bellevue Square all on the trial basis. Out of the 4 my son picked My Gym. We love the teachers and classes are packed from beginning to end with no down time. Also with the addition of Free Play(I can't remember if this is included with all memberships or if we got this added free with a special they were offering), but it gives him two nights of activity a week. They also offer day camps during the holidays and summers and these have been awesome although they are only half day if they could be full days he probably would have went to alot more of them. Also I've been told they will be adding a hip hop dance class and a sports class both of which I've been hoping they would add for a long time. I foresee my son going to My Gym for along time. read more
