Problem got worse not better We had a terrible experience with this pest control company. From start to finish, the customer service was awful--hard to reach, unhelpful, and consistently unreliable. Every time they came out to treat our yard for wasps, the problem actually got worse. Instead of solving the issue, it felt like they stirred things up and left us with even more wasps than before. To make matters worse, they were almost always late and when they came it seemed like they almost pretended to spray and got out as fast as they could. We gave them multiple chances to fix the problem, but they never followed through or showed any real concern about the ongoing issue. The business model charges you a portion once a month for quarterly services. At the time of signing they tell you to at least get two rounds of treatment before you cancel for best results. Never saw a difference after any treatment. I was also told that they would automatically reach out and schedule the next service. I had to reach out and remind them. I went to cancel and they charged me $200 to cancel. Since apparently I was getting a discount that I was unaware of. They offered to come and respray, but why would I want when I didn't work at all the first two times. It really sucks when the original guy says you can cancel at anytime, and then when you go to cancel you are either forced to pay 200 or are stuck paying monthly fees for something that doesn't work. I really didn't have 200 to spend right around the holiday. When you sign it's on an iPad with a signature screen. No where is it pointed out you get stuck paying a giant cancellation charge. read more

We had wasps nesting in our dryer vents along the exterior of the home. Seems like a good reason to call the pros instead of buying a can of Raid. The first pair of technicians that came seemed utterly blindsided, and then immediately slapped on a polite face for the standard "We'll deal with it." They sprayed something into the vents. What do you know--by the next day, the wasps were actively re-nesting in the same spot and nearby. Luckily, Proof offers a 30-day warranty. I immediately called for a re-service. They were scheduling two weeks out. Fine. The next technician who came had the exact same "wait, wtf?" reaction. Not inspiring confidence there. He decided the best path forward was to plug the dryer vents with steel wool. I don't know much about home care, so I took him at his word that that's safe. The wasps should starve now, right? Two days later, the wasps have figured out how to crawl behind the wood siding into the dryer vent. As my ancestors would say: "oy vey." We paid $300 because we needed expertise. What we got was a pair of ineffective treatments that we could have applied for $10, and now our wasps are just angrier and more insidious. If the pros could not handle this situation, I would rather they tell me they can't handle it and drive away. This was a waste of time and money. I hope I'll be able to get a refund for the work not completed as requested. read more

Not very happy with Customer service. You guys were here and sprayed for wasps and I now have a wasp problem I also have 3 small children that are not able to go outside. I called for someone to come by and help us and the earliest they can schedule someone is 2 weeks out. I feel that is unacceptable. I feel you are not living up to your quality assurance and would like to cancel. Been on hold for 10 minutes waiting to talk to a manager. This is not acceptable. read more

Noah Hone went above and beyond today, explaining to me that what they use inside is nontoxic and like essential oils, which I know Chase passed away. It smells very good! He let me direct him to every window, nook and cranny. He was respectful of my house and just an all-around professional and sweet guy. If I have time to chat with the guys when they come out to do Pest Control, they are always super helpful. Also, he is using something different for the winter on the outside of the house, which just shows the companies commitment to attention to detail and their level of expertise.I back up to a field and my house is pest free thanks to these guys! read more

Their tech showed up at our home without the right tools to complete the job. The service was for a wasp nest removal and treatment. We now have 2 wasp nest in the same area that was supposedly treated to prevent the wasps from coming back. When we called to make a complaint, were rudely dealt with on the phone by their customer service rep (Kayla) who falsely claimed she was the manager when we asked to speak with a manager. Do not be fooled by their politeness when they are trying to get your business or their 5 star reviews. They want me to pay another $349 for their tech to show up and "treat" the area for the issue to be back in less than 1.5. read more

This is primarily my fault but I signed a contract with Proof Pest Control and didn't understand that the service is only quarterly, not monthly. We are paying $49 per month, with unlimited call backs, which would be ok if we were full-time residents. We decided to cancel the service and was unaware that by signing the contract, we needed to buy out for $100.00. They did offer to lower the price to $39.00 a month and give us a $25 credit but financially it was more cost effective to just cancel the service. They were reliable but I wish I would have understood the service better and NOT SIGNED A CONTRACT. A bit misleading when it was presented to me. UPDATE: Customer service called and was very helpful and apologetic. They are reversing the $100 charge and are going to make sure future customers know of the contract states. I am very pleased with this outcome. read more

Do not use this service. They came to knock down our wasp nests and treat our home. It hasn't even been 2 months and the nests and wasps are back. They say they treated the eaves and have no proof it was done. All they want to focus on is that they have a picture where it shows that they knocked it down and that we should reference the notes that say it was treated. So in reality, there is no proof that the eaves where the wasp nests were, were actually treated. The tech that came out didn't even have an extendable ladder that reached. We received terrible customer service from Kayla who swears she's the manager but after speaking with other reps, KAYLA is NOT the manager. She provided terrible service and just kept saying since it's past the 30 day warranty we have to pay for another service. This company is a rip off, they purposely do not treat certain areas to have you become repeat customers. Also, don't bother replying to my review. I'm posting it to warn new customers. read more

In my experience these guys are professional, responsive, and their services are effective. They've been treating my house quarterly or as needed for a couple years now. I primarily work with Mike, he's very professional and cares a lot about making sure that the treatments work and that the customer is happy. They even have gone above and beyond to try to help me figure out Japanese beetle problems even though they don't really have a way to treat them, no one really does.... I've never had any billing issues with them or any trouble getting them to come back and visit the property if I've needed re-treatment after a couple weeks. read more

Updated review: post contact from Proof Pest. I had a bad experience with a salesperson not providing enough information about their contract. I was VERY distraught about the contract policy in which I was not fully informed about. However I was connected with a manager that was very professional and empathetic and my concerns were addressed fully and effectively. I was shocked that a company took their customer service seriously and made right when things were wronged. I had a poor review of the company because of this experience because I did not want anyone else to experience this. However because of the prompt resolution and obvious care and belief in their company values I recommend them if you're looking for this type of service. read more

I'm 2 visits into my contract with Proof and I already know I won't be renewing with them. I called several places to shop around after buying a house this summer. I signed with Proof because they offered me a deal that they would only charge me for the quarterly visits (total of 4) instead of the contracted 5. They guy came and sprayed indoor and outdoor. 30 days later, I answered the door and he said he was going to spray front and back and then just left without spraying the inside. Then they charged me for both visits so I called and they claimed that they had recordings of the calls and they would confirm any offers. They called back and said I never received any offers and I called back to ask to if I could listen to the recorded call myself and they refused. Then, I asked why the guy didn't come inside to spray the 2nd time, the rep said they only do outdoors on the quarterly visits. A little after the 2nd spray, I started seeing an influx of indoor pests so I called to request another indoor spray. The lady on the phone said I was due because I wasn't home during their 2nd visit so he couldn't come in and spray. Not only was this a lie, but now I'm not even sure if I'm getting the full service that I'm paying for out of them. So I scheduled an indoor spray, which they cancelled the day of without calling to notify me. They sent me an email saying they would email me a reschedule date. Its been 4 days and I still haven't heard from them regarding a reschedule. Nothing but trouble since day 1 with this company. read more

Fast forward a month later, I had a moth problem and decided to try out their services. Matt came out and was very professional and friendly. He again apologized for my previous experience with their salesperson and offered a complimentary one-time service at no charge. He serviced my entire home and took videos of various spiders and creepy crawlies that I did not know were around my house. They knocked on my door and i decided to give them a shot. Mike is usually the one that comes by and he is always polite and informative. I haven't had a single spider in my basement in months!! I've used many pest control companies before but this way by far my worst experience. On my first service I watched the young man spray half my yard and then leave. After I called to complain they sent another tech out and yet I still have consistent issues. When I call to complain they only offer me a re-service which I've accepted but yet I still have an ant problem. When I called to cancel they wanted me to pay because i was in contract for a full year. I've had 4 services done on my home and have seen no apparent benefit from this service. They guaranteed a pest-free environment and didn't come through and now to cancel i have to pay for a service that never helped me. Worst company ever. read more
