I called Orkin in Jan regarding a rat that had been in my home since before Thanksgiving, that I am aware of. They came out a couple times to put traps. Needless to say they could not help me and eventually quit contacting me even tho I called and didn't receive a call back. Fast forward till today...Called last Fri upset because of no call back. Mon morning I got 2 phone calls and a new service person. He immediately knew where and what to look for, which is great! They now want to charge me $5100 to fix my problem. I don't feel they should charge me the full amount because do you have any idea what kind of mental anguish it is knowing a rat is living in your home for 4 month after you tried to hire the professionals? Hopefully they will do the right thing or else I might have to hire someone to help me. read more

I am extremely disappointed. I picked Orkin thinking they would be like a well oiled machine. I figured they would offer top notch service and be a one stop shop for all things prevention and attack plans. NOT SO. The worst part of being a homeowner is having to deal with pests that want to live in your house rent free, but enough about past roommates. When in doubt, I called Orkin to take care of a weird ant problem. They do say a full year of treatment is best, so I signed up and paid an initial fee and then pay $60 every other month. Worth it! They were on it asap. While the ant problem began in June of 2024, the situation was quickly resolved and I am happy I am now, not only ant free, but also arachnid free as well. The remains of the pests in my basement are a clear testimony. My technician Anthony L has been my technician since the incident began. He is very helpful and so very, very nice. This company has done nothing but disappoint me. They've failed to remove wasp nests, replace traps and more. Most recently on their visit today I told the service person to spray the driveway for ants and to change the traps in the basement and garage. Guess what they failed to do? All of the above. This is my driveway after their visit as pictured. I think they made my ant problem worse honestly. This is a despicable excuse for a business, can't recommend avoiding them enough. Anthony, sales rep, told me that I could get financing for the termite removal that I hired them to do which I agreed to. Then one day they charged me for the full amount of $1400 without telling me they were going to charge me. I've tried to contact them for months to get a refund and move forward with the financing to no avail. Spoke to Derrick, Manager, once and he was of no help. He told me Anthony was taking care of it. I would not recommend this company and especially this branch if you have termite issues or any other bug issues for that matter. read more

I only gave one star because the technician that came to my house was very good. I am getting billed after my service contract ended. I tried calling the local branch several times nobody answers the phone. I used their email to try to get a message to them it's been three days and nobody responded, I called the 800 number and got transferred back to the local district that never answered the phone. When I finally got somebody to listen to me at the support number she talked over me and would not listen to what I had to say. Terrible terrible terrible customer service , and very pricey. We called to set up service with them and were quoted a crazy amount. Once we received the service agreement they were asking us to sign, they had included tons of services we did not ask for or need. Tried to call back multiple times to adjust our service agreement with this branch before our upcoming appointment and after 4 calls of being on hold for 15+ minutes decided we were done. Found out there is no way to cancel the appointment the original quoter scheduled for us online so we had to sit on hold for over 25 minutes just to cancel the appointment. When we finally got someone and said we wanted to cancel we got attitude from the lady on the phone. We were optimistic about using this branch but this was a ridiculous experience, we will be using a different pest control service. read more

Manger Derek was terrible. Was charged for a service that I was told would be covered for free under their conditions of coming back for free since the pest was not controlled. Was charged anyway and when calling back was told I would be refunded. No refund to weeks later and the manager goes back on his word saying it was a billable service. Only reason it was billable was because it was on September first. The previous service was August 17th, and prior to that July 28th. Even though three services in 5 weeks, because they were all separate months I get charged for all three. Do not use this service they will rip you off. read more

Customer support lacking, waited three days for a call back to get a follow-up service appointment. Then they couldn't come out for 3 weeks. Now they charged me for the following month with no service appointment. Way over priced for 3 boxes with the old snap traps for mice in the garage. read more

Orkin is the biggest rip off I have ever seen. We called them and had them go check my daughter's dorm out for bedbugs. They quoted us $6800 to terminate bedbugs that they saw. We had a second opinion. Which was a dog that sniffs out bedbugs. It's supposedly the most accurate. There were no bedbugs it's been a year. No bedbugs but they were going to charge us $6800 to exterminate for nothing. What a rip off you are orkin! You Should be ashamed of yourselves! Mary read more

Orkin bought out the company I had initially hired for my pest control services (Eco Shield). Eco Shield was great; they were on time, billed consistently, and if I ever had an issue, they came out right away. When Orkin took over, my services were late, and I was never billed on time. I would get bills 6 months after the fact, with them demanding payment etc., when it was Orkin who failed to supply an invoice within a timely manner. I cancelled my services in June, and then was receiving phone calls for my next service in October, and being told that I owed for two services. They are disorganized on every level imaginable. I had to find a new pest control company. I don't recommend them at all until they can get themselves better organized. read more

I have been waiting for 6 1/2 hours for the Orkin man to show up and, apparently, he has decided to "job abandon" today. I called their call center several times - it's like they only hire people whose parents marry their cousins. They refuse to help me. They are slow, glib and lazy. If you need a reliable exterminator, don't call Orkin. They are terrible. They are unreliable. read more

Orkin, beware! 1 star is gracious. This began 2 weeks ago. Mind you I have 2 accounts for rental properties. I called Orkin because I used them when I lived in one of the houses. I checked in with one set of tenants and were told they had not heard from Orkin since November. Since I was being billed, I called Orkin to research. My initial call yielded no results and I didn't receive a call back either. My second call I was led to believe I would receive the requested documentation to show my tenants had been receiving services. About another week goes by and no call from Orkin about this issue. You can imagine on the third call in to research if I was being properly charged or not, I wasn't the happiest customer. Being as I felt I was pushing for information on something I already had a question about. The third call I was again told I would receive a copy of the signed invoices (by the technician, since they leave these as the house upon completion I expected this wouldn't be hard to obtain.) I was also told for the 2nd time I would be sent the GPS report of the driver. So three calls deep, and no results. I had asked for the manager to call at this point because obviously the CSRs I was dealing with didn't know how to resolve the issue. Flash forward to this AM, and a call at 8A from the general manager. Immediately he started the conversation saying I was "accusing" his technicians of forgery. Good morning and how are you doing. You want to get on the wrong side of a conversation, start it by telling your customer they are re accusing your technicians of forgery. He should have gotten his facts straight. I told his staff, if they couldn't provide me with, or didn't have documentation to show services were rendered, I would let Visa handle it for sake of time and not paying for services not rendered. The General Manager informed me that they couldn't release the GPS reports, although his CSR freely offered them to me twice. He was abrupt , and defensive from the outset of our call. Obviously he wasn't calling to resolve the issue. He didn't have any documentation to send me. His resolution was that they had concluded their "investigation" and can show the driver came to the house. Again, not willing to send anything to the customer showing services were actually rendered. All he referred to was a call log..... Really? I can call a number as well. I simply wanted the receipts they leave on the door when they finish services, which he apparently felt weren't important to send to me. His resolution was to cancel my contract, and reverse all charges for 2013 visits. Given the costs Orkin charges for services, I feel I am better served by finding a different company to handle these needs going forward. So his offer was fine by me. Although I will say the service I received from him matched his CSR reps, so I guess it makes sense why the CSR is offering to send out GPS reports, and the GM is saying they don't release this information. I feel our GM needs to attend customer service training, on how to approach an upset customer. And leading the call with an accusation is probably not wise. From there, maybe he can spend a little time training his staff that if they don't give customers the GPS reports, not to offer them to the customer, so the customer expects to receive them. Overall, I would say pest control services are something you can find elsewhere, I can really care less that they have 150K accounts in Denver....... Maybe those 150K people should make sure services are being provided , especially on houses that are rentals. read more

An Orkin representative always calls me before they show up for the service spray of my apartment. They listen to me, understand my needs, and are respectful and courteous. Their services work, and they do what they say they are going to do. To the other reviewers, I did not experience any of your problems. Recent construction and excavation in my neighborhood resulted in a very unwelcomed guest in my home. Orkin immediately came to my rescue and eliminated the "pest." Since then I signed up for regular service. My Orkin representative is so friendly and reliable, he always communicates with me and he is very thorough when he comes out to provide the treatments. So angry with these people. Do yourself a favor and call someone else local. I took off the whole afternoon to wait for them. No one showed up in the time window so I called the customer service line. I was on hold 5 times before I got to speak with someone. They told me a voicemail was left about the time window not working. First of all no voicemail was left as I called them from the phone the supposedly left a voicemail on. I took the afternoon off work and wasted time I could have used to make money to wait for nothing. This is a classless and rip off organization and should never be trusted. read more

As far as the outcome of the services or how punctual and friendly the technicians are I have no issues and was satisfied. I am NOT satisfied however when I get a call the day before they have me scheduled for a service and I call back and say that I wish to cancel all services going forward and they say that they require a 30 day notice before cancelling services. That's a nice tricky way of shafting people out of $75-100 that they don't want services for! I asked what would happen if no one was available at my home for 30 days and was informed that they would provide the outdoor barrier portion and bill me the same amount as if they had come inside as well and laid new traps and barriers! Absolutely ridiculous, and a ripoff to imply that the outside barrier service is the only thing we are ever being charged for when everyone knows its imperative to the service that traps are put in multiple locations inside the home as well.
