Robert Stack is unlike any other Process Server out there. If the person you are trying to serve is dodging prior attempts to be served, Robert is super smart in getting your no-contact order served. Highly recomend read more

ZERO or Minus Stars PLEASE avoid this person. Every review that I read is a exactly what I've experienced. He starts off very polite on the onset of the assignment. After receiving the assignment, there was NO communication for weeks. After numerous emails and phone calls, no response was received. We finally informed we cancelled the assignment. After we found someone else to assist. Robert Stack still sends a bill for his services. AVOID at all cost. He will send very threatening emails , regarding legal actions because hes not paid. Robert Stack is a condescending jerk. He has no business dealing with the public. He called my house and refused to identify himself, his company, or the purpose of his call. He asked me, "What is this 20 questions?" Then he wanted me to identify myself! He called me, I didn't call him, I had no idea who I was even talking to. If Robert Stack had identified himself, my husband would have gladly been served his deposition subpoena. My husband has made it clear he has no problem being a witness. We live out in the country, and have a long fenced driveway which we keep locked to keep weirdos out and due to a surge of home invasions. The night after the first harassing phone call an old lady climbed through my locked ranch gate with multiple big "No Trespassing" signs posted and knocked on my door. My porch also has a "No Trespassing" sign posted. She claimed she didn't see any of the posted signs. I asked her if she could give me the subpoena (my husband wasn't home) and she demanded to know where my husband was. I'm not going to tell trespassing strangers who have harassed me on the phone for two days that my husband isn't home. The old woman ended up leaving the deposition subpoena on my porch. Why couldn't she just give it to me in the first place? No they had to harass me over a period of two days while my husband is away working. The old woman broke trespassing laws. She didn't immediately leave after I notified her she was trespassing. She walked around my porch and peeked into my kitchen windows like a stalker. The people working for this company have ZERO people skills and aren't afraid to break the law. My husband wasn't fighting the subpoena, he just was not home because he's working. read more

I wouldn't ever use this company, EVER! Our process service company didnt even get as far to do work with them because of their laziness to read a request and a certain Robert Stack's response to one. Long story short this guy contacted us back with an extrememly rude and sarcastic response mocking us for not including something in our request that if he would have looked a little harder was included the whole time. He went on a full paragraph rant which was totally unprofessional and we will NEVER contact this guy again. Its crazy to think jerks like this are in business read more

I work in a law office in Novato and the attorney I work for needed to find a process server to do a rush service. The first place I called was Pronto Process Service. When the guy answered the phone I identified myself and our office, and asked if there was a server available for this evening or tomorrow evening. The guy's response, "Well, since today is my psychic day, why don't you tell me the location where you need service." The tone in his voice was rude and condescending. I immediately hung up the phone. The attorney and I were just talking about this and our office phone rang. When I answered, it was the guy from Pronto Process Service. He said, "Not only are you rude, but..." I hung up the phone without even listening any further. The attorney asked me to report this on Yelp and make sure that we let other attorneys know not to use this service. This guy was so rude, sarcastic, and condescending! I can't believe he called our office back to tell me that I was rude. I don't know how he stays in business, but don't use Pronto Process Service in San Anselmo. There are plenty of good process servers out there, and this one, we don't need. read more

Robert Stack was polite and helpful right up until he received his payment. From that point forward, he was rude and condescending. When I called and asked for a status, he said he was only talking with me because I was obviously new to the process, and told me I needed to be patient, but couldn't provide a timeline. Two days later, he promised an update by the end of day, but never bothered to call. I finally stopped payment and was treated to a very long, very threatening email and was told he would see me in court. The email tirade continued for several emails and contained language like "before you can say, Whoops, I goofed up"", and "you got that!". The papers were eventually served, but I never received confirmation via email as promised. Having to have papers served in unpleasant enough. Find someone that clearly states prices and timelines, sticks to them as promised, and is not rude, threatening, and condescending. read more

Wow, I wish I had read these reviews, it would have saved me a lot of grief. NEVER, EVER do business with this guy. I don't even think he really is IN business, but just generates a bit of income from suckers like myself. He was polite until I sent all my paperwork and check. Then it sat in the Post Office without being picked up for a few days (I had sent it certified mail). I called him to tell him it was waiting for him and he was so absolutely rude and hostile I was stunned. The next day, I could see it was still at the Post Office, so I quickly made some other phone calls and was lucky enough to find an amazing company. So I called Robert Stack, to tell him I no longer needed his services (leaving a message). I cancelled the check. An hour later , I had the idea of seeing if I could get the Post Office to send me BACK my package as it had all my court documents and check. I called the Post Office, explaining that I wanted my package back. The gentleman I spoke with told me I had made a VERY GOOD decision! (so funny that even the Post Office knows this guy is a shyster!). BUT that Robert had been in to pick up the package just 10 minutes earlier! So he had obviously heard my message and rushed to pick the package up! I am sure he thought he could go straight to the bank with my check. I called Robert and he picked up this time. I told him that I had cancelled the check and would he please send back the package to me 'postage due'. He became very hostile and told me he had started working on the case already and I owed him the money. Now, he had only picked up my package 15 minutes earlier AND the package was sent to Kelseyville while the case was in Marin. So how could he have done anything without even knowing the names involved? Of course he hadn't done a thing. NOR was he even in Marin!! He had insisted that he was located in Marin but the 'office' was in Kelseyville. Anyway, the guy is a terrible, hostile, untruthful human being. I never did get my package back either. Thank God for photocopies and checks that can be cancelled! read more

Please don;t do business with this guy. He never served the guy we were attempting to sue and charged us more than what he quoted. Then he filled a small claims suit in his county and never served us. Next instead of suing the business a Corp. He personally filed against the owner directly with out serving her and then had the case transferred to a differed court and never notified anyone of the change in venue. for a 75.00 fee he got $1000.00. Don't do business with this man the Lake county court calls him a crook too! read more
