Excellent first experience from beginning to end…read more Scheduling the appointment was very easy. Brian clearly explained to me what to expect (it's my 2nd time at any eye Dr). When I arrived, the check-in process was easy and done on an iPad, again explained by Brian. Sarah, the technician, helped me with the eye measurements, explaining what she was doing along the way and answering all my questions. Finally, Dr Johnson saw me, addressed all my questions and made some recommendations. Never pushy, never rushed, never salesy and extremely pleasant to talk to. I definitely recommend her practice and plan on coming back.

My husband goes here, and we live right down the street, so I thought it would be a convenient option. I didn't get one foot in the door before some employee with brown hair started asking questions. There was no "welcome in," no "what can we do for you." I told her I just had a quick question and she seemed annoyed by that. I asked my question and then went home to contemplate whether or not I should use them after that encounter. I decided to proceed since it was so close to my home and convenient. I emailed ahead of time to inquire if they could accommodate a medical request I have. I never heard back. I had to email again a week later to get a response, which was no, they won't accommodate my medical request. Ok, then. I'll be going to another eye doctor down the road and will be taking my husband and our business with me. The owner replied below, but I have no idea why she inserted that she is a minority as that has zero to do with my review. How odd to use your ethnicity status as a reply to a potential customer's poor experience with your company. She was more concerned with emphasizing that I am not a patient (which, I never would be after my experience with them), instead of addressing my complaint in my review which was related to the encounter I had with her rude staff member from the second I walked in the door to the fact that I had to email multiple times in order to get a response from them. She is correct that I was referred to them by my husband, but he was so upset after hearing about my experience that he now refuses to go back to their facility. We found a wonderful eye doctor called Premier just down the street. They were incredibly thorough and much less expensive than Bespoke (who charges $175 for an eye exam).

I really like this place!…read more We went here on the recommendation of a friend; we were happy with our old place but wanted to find somewhere closer. They were honest, professional, and patient while I picked out my new frames. Doc is super friendly and helpful; I've only had good eye doctors but he may be the best I've had. Best of all, the whole staff were VERY helpful and super patient with me when I said I wanted to try contacts. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a total spazz, especially when it comes to (a) loud noises or (b) things coming toward my eye. Recipe for disaster, right? Well, I wish I could say "wrong" but what's awesome is they worked with me very very patiently to help me get the hang of it the first time, and by the next week when I came in for my follow up, I was a pro! Life changing stuff! Also, pro tip that getting the blue light blocker on your glasses is AMAZING. Total game changer, you wouldn't believe how much less strained my eyes get looking at screens, especially at night. As someone who works in software, this is a big deal! And I wouldn't have known about it if the doc hadn't recommended I look into it.

Never mind! The glasses I spent a fortune on?? Overpriced crap. Exceptional Vision Care & Compassionate Expertise - Why I Trust Dr. Gulrez Khoja in Plano, TX…read moreI've been a loyal patient here for nearly five years, and every single visit reminds me why I'll never trust anyone else with my vision health. From the moment you step into the office, you're greeted like family by a team that's warm, professional, and genuinely invested in your well-being. The environment is modern and welcoming, but it's the human connection that makes this place extraordinary. Unlike many healthcare providers today, Dr. Khoja takes the time to truly listen. She doesn't just glance over charts--she dives deep into understanding your unique concerns. Because of my family history of eye disease, she's carefully monitored my vision for the last 2.5 years, keeping detailed progress reports and scheduling regular exams every six months. That kind of proactive, personalized care is something you rarely find anymore! Recently, I faced an entirely new health challenge: I'm preparing to start chemotherapy. While my medical team has been focused on the obvious concerns, it was Dr. Khoja who brought up a critical point that no one else had--how chemo can affect my vision. Thanks to her foresight, we established a baseline eye health assessment before my treatments even begin. This way, we'll know exactly how my vision is impacted and have options ready if corrective action is needed later. Who else thinks of that level of care? It's rare to find a doctor who combines world-class expertise with such a deep level of compassion. Dr. Khoja is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, an expert in managing complex conditions like keratoconus, surgical complications, and specialized contact lens fittings. She also cares for children's vision needs and provides advanced treatments like Corneal Refractive Therapy (CRT). Beyond her impressive credentials, she makes every patient feel seen, heard, and cared for. That's the kind of doctor everyone deserves but so few actually find. If you're in Plano, TX or nearby, do yourself a favor--make an appointment with Dr. Khoja. Whether you need routine vision care, help managing complex conditions, or simply want a provider who will advocate for your overall health, you won't find a more compassionate and capable expert. (Photo with Dr. Khoja attached because some moments in life deserve to be remembered!) Gratefully, Mark D.

My old glasses are better than my new ones. The contact prescription from this place went from -6.25 in each eye, which it's been my whole life, to -5.00 and -5.75 in 2018, to -6.00 and -6.75 in 2023. I've not even filled my contact prescription because I just wasted $500 on glasses that are worded than my 2018 prescription and I don't want to waste $$$ on contacts that probably won't work either. Wish I could give them 0 stars. Prepaid $290 for contacts. Guess I'll have good luck getting that back. Lol

While waiting, I watched Dr. Timothy Leach in his office on his phone for literally 20-30 min, not doing anything work-related! Finally after 30 minutes, not seeing one other appointment enter or exit the office, I asked when I would be seen. I was then told I didn't have appointment. I showed the email confirmation of my appointment, then the receptionist said the system was down and she still hadn't checked my insurance (30 minutes after arriving!)... and the doctor would see me when he could. THAT was their message to a new patient, 30 minutes after I arrived and watched the optometrist not actually doing his job.
