Quick update - about a year after they took the tree out we finally went to plant some grass where it had been. We found out that there was still some stump in one area, and I contacted them to see if they could come back and get the part that was still there. It had been a year, so I wasn't sure what response I would get, but they said no problem and came back within a week or so to grind out the last little bit that was left. (It was a huge tree, so really easy to see how they could have missed a little bit that was still there.) No cost - just came out, ground the rest, and left. read more

Progressive has a very professional, responsive, competent, and thorough team that removed 2 very large trees at our home in West Ridge. Diego communicated readily about all aspects of the work and was just great to work with. And the price of the completed work was fair and competitive with other proposals we received. We would certainly use them again and would recommend them to others very comfortably. read more

Not only was Progressive Tree Service the most responsive company I contacted, their pricing, professionalism, and skill were amazing. They are capable and brave, besides being tremendously skilled. They removed an old locust tree that must have been six stories high. Everyone, from the office staff to those who worked on our job was great. I could not be happier and will definitely call Progressive for any work of this type in the future. Highly recommended. PS) their pricing is quite fair. read more

We contacted Juan after someone referred us. He was able to get us set up within a week or two and sent Jose out on a Saturday morning. Jose was very patient with us and took time to explain the options we had to trim/cut our large tree that was starting to hit our roof. We were new so had a lot of questions and he was very helpful. In the end, our tree looked great and he took his time to clean up and make final updates at our request. He also ensured we didn't just rush and do the most aggressive cutting. We highly recommend Juan and Jose for trimming needs specifically on large trees. read more

Very nice people. They showed up on time for both the estimate and the work. We had a lot to do on a 5 story high tree. They did a great job, and took care not to damage my beautiful garden below. The price was very reasonable. I give them 10 stars. read more

I will definitely use Progressive Tree Service in the future! read more

Progressive Tree Service - Tree Services Near Me - Evanston, Illinois

Progressive was the low bid out of 5 companies (although most of them were pretty close to each other). They did a great job taking down a large branch from a cottonwood tree, doing some additional thinning on that tree, and removing a few smaller dead trees and bushes. They're very professional and knowledgeable about tree care. I have no hesitation to use them again in the future. read more

Progressive Tree Service is the best. They arrived today right on time 7am. In the snow they removed two very large trees from my property. A Honey Locust and a Silver Maple. They were friendly, fast and reliable. They did an amazing job executing the removal of the trees safety and cleanup was great! The Cubs canceled today but not Progressive I highly recommend. read more

Progressive Tree Service provides fast and excellent service at good prices. When part of the tree in my front yard fell on my roof, they came out early the very next morning to remove it (the roof was not damaged and we decided against having them come out after hours for emergency service). They knowledgably recommended removing the entire tree both for safety and cost-effectiveness. We plan to have the plant a replacement tree in the very near future. read more

Juan gave great advice on my various tree and stump issues& came in with a very competitive price. He and his crew did an excellent job removing a giant silver maple (approx 70ft tall), a mulberry tree that had grown up into the power lines, 2 yew trees, and quite a few stumps in my front and back yard. I'd recommend Progressive to anyone & will continue to use their services in the future. read more

Best tree caretakers in Chicagoland. I had an 100 + siberian elm in my backyard whose dying breath took my powerlines and a Comcast cable. Being a stubborn old tree, he decided couple years ago that is not gonna go down without a fight. Smashing my Bbq grill, the fire pit and trying to hurt my family were on his hit list. Then, i decided to put him down for good, as the absence of the leaves and the extensive rot and drying of his branches were nearing him to the grave. So...I called a bunch of companies, even the Village of Skokie...stating that i will pay for the tree's funeral but obviously that i wanted him gone. The Village of Skokie's response was mindboggling, as in they preffered that the tree remained, endangering a family of four, a 20k garage, a boat and the main power for the entire street Progressive Tree service was knowledgeable and also came for an inspection and an estimate, then they removed the poor tree. What's unbelievable is that the guys at Progressive Tree Service didn't damage anything on the propriety, working as fast as attentive and caring. I am very satisfied that the threat of an old and dry tree is gone, surely i will plant another tree, less menacing and height friendly. Tree Service is a great choice, a company who's affordable to work with, very professional and so fast. I already recommended them to some of my friends and they are amazed how clean and fast and safe they worked on their trees too. My friends had their trees trimmed and for wathever reason you would need work on a tree...call Progressive Tree Service . Have a great day and don't forget.. they are a call away ! read more

They showed up right on time and did everything very professionally. They are our go-to tree experts.

I had a load of firewood delivered, service was good all around. They needed to reschedule the delivery and called to let me know about the change. Cleaned up my driveway as well. Very happy overall. read more

After a frustrating experience with another service I called Progressive Tree Service and they were excellent. Juan showed up right on time for his estimate, the price was fair, communication was excellent, and the work was delivered exactly as promised. Great company - thanks Juan! read more

Progressive came out and removed a huge tree (80'+) that was in between homes. The price was great and they delivered amazing service. I would highly recommend. I am very happy with everything that Progressive delivered. read more

Was extremely pleased with Progressive Tree Service from start to finish. We called them based on their reviews. We had gotten 2 quotes from other well known companies, and Progressive was quick at getting back to us online and was by far the most reasonable. We had them cut down a very large dying spruce tree that was in a tight space between the side of our house and our neighbors(with our wood fence in between) and remove the stump. They also trimmed a few branches on another spruce and did not charge us extra. They were right on time and cleaned up beautifully afterward. Even cleaned our neighbors side. Highly recommend. read more

Juan came out this past Saturday to give me a quote. Gave me great info about their services what he recommends and when he recommend getting the work done. Was punctual, courteous, and helpful at explaining the work - specifically around the power lines running from my house. read more

Juan and his crew from Progressive removed a very large Elm tree at the back of my property. I thought it would take a couple days, as it was so large. However, the crew showed at 8am on a Saturday and was able to take it fully down by 6:30 pm. Very positive experience from start to the cleanup after. I highly recommend Progressive Tree Service. read more

We were thrilled with the work the Progressive Tree Service did for us today. They were in our neighborhood doing another major job, so we invited them to assess a "sick" tree that has very sentimental meaning for us. We thought we would have to cut down this tree altogether, but Instead, they determined it could be treated in the spring, and, in the meantime, gave us a very fair price to prune two trees in our yard. The crew did an excellent job, and cleaned up impeccably afterward. The entire team was friendly and professional. We are so happy to finally have a "go to" company for our tree maintenance needs! read more

Waited 2 hours outside my building for a scheduled appointment for an estimate yesterday afternoon. No call, no show. tried calling the office with no answer and voice mail full message. Clearly not interested in my business...nor my time. Don't waste your time... read more

With the recent storm that came through the North Shore, our 100 year old willow tree experienced severe damage. A very large limb was broken and split across our neighbors yard and on top of our shed. I made many calls first thing in the morning and the first response was Juan from Progressive Tree. Juan told me that he would have a estimator out within an hour, which was done and in a thorough manner. In addition to resolving our core issue, he also mentioned that another tree should come down, as it was dead. We received a combine quote that was EXTREMELY reasonable. The work started an hour later and they wrapped the job in under four hours. (Both trees!) The clean-up was exceptional and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Progressive Tree Service. read more

This company sets the bar. The level of professionalism is really astounding. I asked Juan to come by and give me an estimate for a tree removal. The tree was between my property and my neighbor's, so the consultation needed to be very delicate. Juan waited while I was talking to the neighbor and was willing to answer any question patiently. I was referred to him by a friend and was not disappointed. In my opinion, he's one of the best in the business. read more

Progressive was recommended by a friend and I was told they did great work. The estimate was better than I hoped and I was excited to use them. However, after four calls over a two week period looking to book the work, I have not received a response. The receptionist keeps saying I will receive a call back and this never happened. I should not have to chase someone down to try and give them business. Unfortunately, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Juan and his crew from Progressive Tree Service are AMAZING. We lost a very large limb out of our cottonwood at 8:30 AM yesterday. A friend of ours used Progressive for some tree removal and recommended them. We called and Juan was at our house by 10AM to assess the damage. Not only did he have a crew here at noon to clean up the mess, but he was also able to recommend a landscape firm who came out yesterday as well to repair the massive damage to our fence. The loss of the limb happened while we were sitting under our trees and we were very anxious. Juan spoke to us about additional changes we should make to lighten our limbs so this doesn't happen again. Our regular tree service, which trimmed our trees less than two years ago, never talked to us about branches and weight issues. These guys are STELLAR! read more

When I called to get a request for a quote, Juan picked up the phone and came out the same day to give me a quote. I scheduled an appointment for the tree removal a week later due to their availability. This morning, their guys cut 3 trees down for me and one hung near power lines. They did an excellent job of cutting down the trees and all the cleanup involved for a great price. Their employees were respectful and showed up on time. I highly recommend them to anyone! read more

We interviewed a few places and we decided to hire Progressive. They are The BEST!!! Over the years we have had other tree trimmers but Progressive is so much better. Their prices were good and their work was fantastic. Juan met with us and we discussed what we wanted done. Juan spent his time looking at the jobs we wanted done and talking to us with options and any concerns. They came by a week later conforming their arrival, and they were on time. They did an amazing job in removing my dying big Ash and other smaller trees. They also trimmed our other big trees - they look beautiful. Throughout the job they were always keeping us informed and were very accommodating to our requests/concerns that day and adapted to our minor changes like one of the trees to be trimmed was also an Ash infected and they approached us and we discussed various options and added we also added a few more trimmings in minor areas. I would definitely hire them again and recommend you to hire them. They were on time and cleaned up everything beautifully. They are even finding us a replacement tree (contacting nurseries) - purchasing it, delivering it, and putting it in the hole saving us our time and how to transport the new trees. The are very knowledgeable in trees and take the time to talk to you. I am so so happy we went with Progressive. I have already rehired them to do more work and have passed their name on to my family and friends. read more
