I have put off this review for so long, simply due to the worry of my own security. But I have fully bypassed the system installed by Progressive so I feel obligated to write a review. Long story short, Do not purchase wired systems that require 150$ home service every time something goes wrong. With all the new technology, I feel used to have paid what I did for tech I can't modify myself at all. For 1/5th the price I have upgraded my system and had to disconnect almost everything this company installed. Really wish American West didn't abuse the "inside family service" when purchasing my home by suggesting this companies products. If I had the choice to do it over I would have not at all used American West (Now Out Of Business, and in Joint Lawsuit for building errors) or Progressive. The details around this are so frustrating I don't even want to write this post or even go into more details. The point of this post is to warn you that's their OMNI System is not serviceable by you, so if anything goes wrong or changes (such as even your Wifi router, Internet Service, Alarm, Cameras ECT... it's 150$ to have someone come out and review it) Yes they have tried to and have helped me numerous times over the phone to save that 150$ but I'm tech savvy and those phone calls where the most confusing headache ever. read more

Progressive Home is the preferred vendor for American West (now Pulte Homes) so we didn't have choice if we wanted the house pre-wired for all our electronic needs. Turns out to be a good idea! We have over 20k worth of work done (unfortunately some are part of the package that we don't need at the moment so have these awkward plates all over the house) but what was installed works great! My media room and great room sound like an IMAX theater!! The outdoor Sonos speakers are awesome. Great pictures from the security cameras as well. Now to the not so great....there seems to be inconsistent way of programming the universal remotes depending on the technician so we had to have them come over a few times (no charge so that's awesome) to correct the issue. Additionally, a technician is the expert but you have to dummy down the jargon so lay people can actually understand the issue, why it happened and, ultimately, the ssolution. We would give 5 stars but we're still learning how to operate the universal remotes since we were not given any manual - just a quick less than 5 minute walkthrough. Moreover, when my speakers were installed, the technician cut the hole too big so he patched it with CAULK and not so neat at that. The ceiling has flat paint so you can see the sheen around the speakers. Overall, we're happy with Progressive Home.....definitely recommend their service. read more

If you are buying an American West Home, I would highly recommend declining to work with Progressive Home and getting your own quote through another business. Andrew, their sales consultant, is terrible! he will try to rip you off. I made countless attempts to work with him on different options to reduce the price of my package, and he kept coming back saying "thats the best option" and making no effort at all to work with me. his quote was $22k. I ended up making a complaint about him and then they assigned me Kory. I have to say Kory was fantastic! he worked with me and got exactly what I needed for $12k. That said, my experience was so bad with Andrew and his blatant attempt to rip me off, that I could not ever recommend Progressive to anyone. I say avoid at all costs! Also their install is far to complicated. if you go with their package, you are left with no choice but to forever be using them to fix any issues because they make the install so complex. read more

Progressive installed our security cameras around our home and has been there for us whenever we had questions or problems. Initially we wanted to install those Costco security camera systems since it was cheaper, but Progressive persuaded us to use them instead. As they pointed out they would be there for us if we had issues with the connection or if a camera weren't bad. They stood by their promise and has always been there to help us troubleshoot camera issues and settings. When we call them, someone will over the phone assist or they will send a technician out. Hands down the best company to work with if you want to improve your home and make the most out of it! We worked with them while purchasing our very first house and they were just great! From the very first time we went to their office to when their guys came out to install and configure what we bought we had nothing but a great experience! Price wise they're not the cheapest but they do a great job and you won't have to worry about seriously anything. We got quiet a few things from them like Sonos, speakers throughout the house and the internet spot that will better distribute your signal (totally worth it). We worked with Cory and he was very respectful and not pushy, he showed us a lot of things but when we told him exactly what we wanted he focused on it instead of trying to push more things into our loan. The Progressive Home Team is a first rate team... from the initial contact with Andrew through the installation teams of David and Eric to the follow-up from Ray, this is a class act. Having our house pre-wired by Progressive gave us the opportunity to add features and functionality without having to start from scratch. All the various options were explained in great detail and with zero pressure. When installation day came, the team was running a bit behind from their previous installation but had the courtesy to call to give us fair warning. You don't find this courtesy often. The installation team knew their product and their functions and delivered excellent service over multiple days (it was a big job). When a problem existed from the installation done during the housing construction, Progressive Home was on the ball again dispatching the same service team to resolve the problem. Excellent follow-through and great service with extremely reasonable prices. You don't normally find that combination in a "preferred" vendor from most builders. The installation guy was awesome! He was so down to earth, had a sense of humor, and was really (extremely) thorough on setting up our home automation system. Im a hands on person, I gotta see it before I understand it. He took the time to really go through each individual aspect of the services and equipment we ordered. And he went above and beyond, out of his way, to call an electrician working for the builder that built our new home and the surrounding homes and have them come out the next day to put in a free extra outlet in the closet where our control panel box is. We purchased our home from American West and Progressive Home was the home automation installers by default. Fast forward 5 years later and we were having some issues with a smoke detector that was connected to our home security. They came out and the technician (darn, i forgot his name) that came out was hands down, a pure expert in their products and services! I rattled off a few minor issues I was annoyed with, like having to manually change the time with daylight savings and the timing of the automatic lights... the temperature that auto defaults to a certain temperature... and from his laptop, fixed ALL of my issues within minutes!! He was professional, knowledgeable, nice (about listening to my gripes) and I like that he just tackled all of my issues! I should also mention that previous to the technician coming over, Ray walked me through a few things to try to trouble shoot my smoke detector issues to ensure that it was truly the issue at hand and was also willing to try to walk me though fixing it myself without sending a tech. Overall, I would totally recommend them for your home security and automation needs!! read more

The initial sales experience was great. Refereed to them by American West homes when we did our new build. The team was unable to get one of the automatic light switches working so they said they would come back. They came back the next week and was still unable to solve the issue. They came back the following week and was unable to get the switch working and whats more they burned the wall with live wires. The guy said they would schedule to return to fix it. Then the guy offered to paint it if I had paint, which I provided. The guy was less a painter than a wiring specialist and spilled paint on my front entrance door jam, tile, and walkway bricks when opening the can. After I cleaned up the mess and bid them farewell, I expected a call back for them to come and finally fix the switch. Fast forward 11 months and someone claiming to be from progressive home calls me, this time selling a static IP address which I had apparently bought a subscription for and now they needed to charge me monthly. David, the salesperson, kept talking over me when I objected and he wouldn't listen when I told him I didn't want what he was selling, he claims he made an appointment as a gesture to fix my switch was simply an afterthought when I brought it up to him. I ended the call after he threatened that my internet, cameras, and security system will not work if they don't get money from me semi annually for a static IP service. 1st, the big selling point for progressive is that you own the system and there is no monthly subscription. Second I would not have signed up for any such monthly program. At the time I believed the call was a scam so I called progressive to speak with a manager. I told them about the call and was informed I would hear back from them. I never did until today 3 weeks after the call when progressive shows up at my door to fix the switch. so the pushy salesman David was their guy, they told my wife the same thing about changing my IP if I don't pay them money. She sent them away because they didn't have what they needed to fix the switch anyway. Called progressive and asked them why they sent someone out to make another sales call when they still haven't returned my call from weeks ago. The manager stated they initially went to fix the switch but he re-iterated that I needed to pay them money for IP service or my devises wont work with the internet. I asked him to email or mail me a contract with my signature on it stating I am receiving a free service or that I will owe any money to him. I also asked for a refund for the switch his team has been unable to fix after multiple attempts. I would not recommend these guys, they have competition in town, don't let the discount for using the builders recommendation fool you, you get what you pay for. read more

They did my house about 10 years ago. That means that they are doing something right to have survived the Great Recession that hit Vegas harder than most areas. They did a very nice job on everything, through the builder. Some of my equipment is now outdated, but that is to be expected with technology.
