This is the second time I have used this company to screen in a patio, the first experience was good - communication and timeliness were not an issue. The second install has had some issues. Boss informed me at the beginning of January the screens were expected within a week, and the install would be scheduled. A full month went by with no further communication - near the end of February I was informed they were still inspecting, and was given a preliminary install date of the week of March 30th. Mid-March, I was given the firm install date of 3/31. 3/27 the project manger emailed and cancelled the install due to an issue found during the inspection. Supposedly the screens were undergoing inspection back in January, but magically failed inspections in March. Since the cancel, I have consistently sent emails asking for an update. Flower answers once a week that the company is actively working on getting an update from the factory. The most recent reply also gave me the name of the project manager and said the manager would be contacting me with updates. No updates from Boss. There is zero unsolicited communication from Boss. At this point I have zero confidence in this company. This is the most amateurish performance from a company I have ever seen. I hope the $25K I paid for the screens wasn't just a donation to the company, but that is what is it starting to feel like. I will start exploring what legal options I have to recover whatever money I can, but it may be low probability due to the sales agreement. Stupid me for paying up front. Not to mention a person named Flower and Rachel and Chea that I communicated with regularly over text during measuring and manufacturing, the Boss Security Screens staff could not be more communicative and friendly during this process Needing to solve an issue of golf balls potentially breaking my glass backyard patio doors (a golf ball has already once shattered a window), after much debate over what I should do to protect this glass for a long term solution of living in this house as I get older, I decided to go with Boss Security Screens. Made from steel and basically made to withstand an intruder, a machete or a small golf ball flying at my home, the quality of these screens is incredible. Really great quality and I am so pleased. They look classy and so well made. Can a screen door look classy? I think it can. LOL!I Sindy the sales gal coming out to talk to me about them after setting up an appointment to install and it took a couple months to get this work done, but I was in no hurry. Sindy was very laid back, easy to communicate with and absolutely not a drop of pressure to purchase. The screens are all custom made to fit your exact specifications, swing/hinge preferences, color, etc. and like many things in life, quality can sometimes take time. Once installed (by Deshon who was professional and on time), the window is darker, but as my photos show, you can still see light and the outside just as well. And also, you get what you pay for. These screens are not without a significant cost that I myself see as an investment in our longterm occupation of our home. But for that cost, I cannot say this enough, they look great, the quality is top notch and I am so pleased. So although I needed to solve a golf ball situation, the security I now feel of having these screens is so comforting. Intruder looking to break in or even a coyote looking at my cat as its next meal, nothing is coming through these screens! Tons of samples to choose from, great explanation of services and had my quote on the spot. Some companies take your info and calculate the quote off site which just adds time. Our initial experience was with the installation of Boss Security Screens on all of our entry doors; we loved them (the company and the security screens) so much that we decided to have screens installed on all of our street level windows. The customer service is great, the product is great, as well as really sleek looking, you really can't go wrong. This time we love how Boss was able to accommodate our odd sized circular window. We love that while remaining secure, our screens have mechanisms that enable them to be opened so our windows can be accessed for cleaning. I must say we didn't have such a great experience with the sale person we dealt with at Boss security, we felt she was pushy and fake, and her only concerned was about money and if we were going to be writing a check or cash for the down payment. During our conversations with the representative she repeatedly stated, "If we didn't make a decision, within a few days from the time we received the estimate the quote would increase due to the tarrifs and we needed to make decision quickly, because the metal was going to increase at 22 % or more after April 1 2025, if I didn't lock in the price with the down payment. I later found out that the representative statement was untrue and none of the other security screen companies we had received estimates from confirmed the increase in metal to be the case. As a result, we decided to move forward with another company due to the representative aggressiveness, dishonesty, bad attitude and unprofessionalism. read more

Their products are very pricey, and there is no question about the quality of the screen door and window screens (5 stars for quality for sure). However the customer service from the main office is questionable. The installation crew is great, friendly and efficient. The main issue and why I gave them 2 Stars is it took Boss Security Screens 9 months from time of purchase, to make and finally install the correct screen door, and 4 months from time of purchase to install my kitchen window screen. We made many, many calls to their main office and the owner. The excuse was that they only had one employee that actually made the doors. I checked with the family that gave me the company name that did there doors and window security screens and it took Boss security screens only 4 months to do approximately 2 doors and 5 windows. I am not sure what problems they are having, but we were not quoted 9 months and 4 months for one door and one window. They also are not concerned with making this problem right even after all our calls and complaints. BEWARE. read more

I didn't go with Boss Security Screens & I went with a different company, so this review is for my interaction with Boss Security Screens (BSS). I requested a free estimate from BSS, Nick came out and gave me an estimate. He offered to give me some discount by taking most of the labor cost off. A few months later, I reached out to BSS again. Their office contacted me & then I got in contact with Nick again via text messages. When I mentioned about getting an estimate with Guardian Security Screens, Nick offered to beat their estimate. However, Nick couldn't match the estimate from Guardian Security Screens and he badmouthed about & tried to discredited Guardian Security Screens. This was really distasteful & unprofessional. Nick even claimed that BSS is the ONLY security screen company that offers LIFETIME No Break-in Guarantee. This is NOT true! Security Plus offers the same guarantee. BSS is heavy on advertisements; therefore, their price is the highest even after discount on labor. Additionally, even after I advised BSS that I decided to go with a different company, they continued to email, call and sent text messages. This was quite annoying! Before you go with Boss Security Screens, make sure you reach out to Security Plus and Guardian Security Screens for an estimate. Security Plus offers pretty much the same guarantee and product quality PLUS they are much more professional with great customer service. read more
