I don't usually write negative reviews but I felt that I could help people with a negative review…read morejust as much as the positive reviews I usually write. This company was recommended by Yelp. Our front door was sticking and difficult to open. I submitted a description of the problem and two pictures. They called right away and said their rate was $155 per hour but said it probably wouldn't take that long. A man showed up the next day and said I needed a new door handle and some adjustment in the door frame. He needed to run to Home Depot for materials. He called me from the store and had me pay for the $193 in materials (he never provided a receipt). I live 3-4 miles from Home Depot. It took him 45-50 minutes to return AFTER the phone call where I paid for the supplies. Not only was I charged for his time shopping (which I understand) but the company also tried to slip in a $189 service fee that he claimed was for his time to run to the store. What?!? I'm already paying $155 an hour for his time, including the store run that took over 1 1/2 hours. In total, it took him over 5 hours to do the job. A few hours into the job I told him I could not afford for him to continue due to his hourly rate and slow labor. I received a bill for over $800 that included the $189 service fee and a 10% discount due to my protest. I spoke to a woman at the office who tried to justify the high price and the $189 fee. When I told her I was not paying the fee or the high price, she threatened to send me to collections. When I told her that was fine, she waived the $189 fee and upped the discount to 20%. I reluctantly paid $620 for a very shoddy job. The handyman still needed to paint the doorframe and the wall that was damaged from removing the door frame but he took so long, I didn't want to be charged for more time so I told him I'd do it myself. As he went to leave, he literally could not get the door open! It was worse than before he worked on it. That was the ONLY reason we hired him. It took him another hour just to make the door work. It's not perfect, but at least we can open it now. All this to say, we had a horrible experience with this company and we feel ripped off and taken advantage of. Like I said in the beginning, I don't usually write bad reviews. I'd rather just cut my losses and move on. But this time I thought about it for a few days and decided that if I could save someone else from making the mistake of hiring this company, then it is worth it. I've also attached pictures of the finished product. In all, I'm out over $800 and still need to have the door and door frame fixed and repainted. Note: Yelp was gracious after hearing our story and viewing pictures and videos and agreed to refund the labor fee I was charged. Thank you Yelp!

They never gave me anything in writing. They quoted me $135 an hour and at the end handed me a bill…read morefor $495. I signed nothing and everything that they ended up doing was screwed up. Someone had to come and replace everything they put window up. It's bubbled. They ripped it. There's two of them father and son and one just stands there and watches the other, but they wanna charge you double for it.
