** Update After Owner's reply** Not really relevant but the track was replaced. I asked that the rollers be replaced because they were plastic and brittle. Replacing THREE of the FOUR makes no sense, and neither does his explanation. If the screen door is too tight, there are adjustment screws on all four corners that can fix that. But regardless, he was PAID to replace FOUR rollers, not THREE. ______________________________ Needed a repair or replacement on a sliding glass door. I messaged Master Glaser Glass on Yelp. After explaining the issues, I scheduled an in-person estimate. Manuel showed up, gave his opinion on what would fix it, and quoted a price. I planned to get a few other quotes, but he messaged me pretty enthusiastically saying he found a replacement handle we also discussed. I decided to take a chance on him and canceled the other estimates. My first mistake... We set a time, and I asked if he could also replace the rollers on my screen door as well. My second mistake was not confirming the price or scope of the rollers replacement upfront. I got ripped off for sure. The day of the appointment, we were near the end of the time window I was given, so I messaged asking when his guys would arrive. He said 20 minutes. So they showed up 20 minutes late with no heads up or courtesy message- I had to message them. Not ideal or very professional, but fine. They did the work. Because of the silicone drying on the sliding glass door frame, they said they couldn't install the screen door yet, but told me it was ready to go and wouldn't need adjustment. The next day I tried installing the screen door and, of course, it needed adjustment. I also noticed they only replaced three of the four rollers. I messaged Manuel asking why only three were replaced. The message has been on read all day with no response. It's interesting how responsive people are before they get paid, and how quiet they get when an issue comes up after the check clears. This was a small problem that could have been handled with a simple apology and either installing the missing roller or issuing a partial refund. Simple professionalism. Instead, it's being ignored. It was another 30 minutes before they arrived. I can only speak about their attention to communication and punctuality. I set up Yelp Projects and Manuel got in touch immediately. Scheduled estimate the following morning (price was very fair and competitive) and project was booked in 2 days later. Fast forward to today, Ricardo and his team were here only 30 mins after the 2 hour time frame began. They were very professional, and efficient. I had a 72" x 60" double pane insulated window on the second story, no balcony. The window was removed and installed in no time, inside the house they were very respectful and clean, even had their own shoe covers. *Tip for other Yelpers - when you create a project, don't just rely on Yelp AI App to be trouble free, ask the service provider for their cell or email and send duplicates of your yelp message to their cell/email. It will save you a lot of miscommunication or missed messages on both ends. I did this with Manuel and he responded to both. Because Yelp AI at first didn't save my appointment window even after I had confirmed it, I had to close app and reopen it to realize it hadn't saved and to redo it. Extremely disappointed. I had high hopes for this consultation as at first they were very responsive. My property is a 30 minute drive away, so the day of my appointment I messaged the company to see if they were still coming. They said yes at noon. I show up at noon only to receive a message that they were too busy and need to reschedule. I rescheduled to Saturday and was told 11-2pm. I had Master Glass fix my sliding door that would catch on a bump in track and where the glass was separating from frame of sliding door. It slides so beautifully. Also had them install two sliding door screens. Higher quality than what you get at Home Depot or Lowe's so that they continue to slide and shut over the long run. The technician adjusted the sliding door screens for at least 15 minutes so that the slide was smooth. So impressed. Also replaced mesh on some of my window screens and installed some new. First things first... I saw all of the negative reviews for this company, most of them being about damaged shutters. Well, I have those same shutters. However, all other reviews were amazing, so I decided to give them a whirl to repair one 16x34 window after obtaining to other quotes that were both $300 & $500 over MGGs quote. Attached to this review is a picture of my shutters to give everyone a reference of the type of shutters all the reviews are talking about AND the ones that are in my home. Again, these are my shutters in the picture that are closed against the broken window. This window is located in the stairwell so they came inside and cut it from the inside first....and I watched every moment of it. Then they went outside and climbed a ladder to the mud roof over my bathroom to get access to the stairwell window. I went to my bedroom balcony window which is about 4 feet from the stairwell window....and watched every moment. He then removed the plastic/metal side trim pieces with a chisel and a flat screwdriver, placed them aside and shimmied out the broken window. He then cleaned out all the prior glue and gunk from the old window with a chisel. He brought out a dust pan and a hand broom to clean the dust and debris and then cleaned it with a liquid solution. Again, I watched the entire thing. Then they brought up the new window, cleaned it, and installed trim along the inside of the frame for adhesion. The new window was installed and he installed the metal trim pieces back in place with a plastic device and a soft hammer - literally looked like tools made for this exact need. They cleaned the window again and took the old window to their truck. Reasons why I gave them 4 stars: They didn't have booties- I think as a professional going into anyone's home, you should have booties. It shows professionalism and respect for someone else's home. While I appreciate the dust pan and hand broom, I feel like it would be more efficient and effective to use a hand held dust buster of sorts. My landscaper recently used it for his debris in our backyard, so I know they're out there. Am I being picky? Probably, but 5 stars should mean something grand!!! Don't you agree!? Regardless of these reasons, I really believe they are a solid company. They responded to my quote request the same day. When I was ready for installation, they again responded the same day. They were very fairly priced for things that other companies specifically told me that they would have to charge me more for (ladder extension $$$$$). They were polite, they put back my hung pictures in the stairwell after removing them so as not to damage them. If you go with MGG, maybe not be the creeper like me, but do give these guys a chance! Couldn't be happier with our window pane replacement. Our home inspector missed a broken window pane in our garage when we bought our house, so we wanted to go with a trusted company to get it fixed. We expected to be quoted on the replacement for the entire double-pane window, but we were told that only one of the two panes needed to be replaced- and at a reasonable price.
