It was feeling not quite as cold and the fan seemed like it was working a little harder, so I wanted to get it cleaned before the hot summer months hit! I *hate* making phone calls, but the receptionist was SUPER nice, so that immediately put me at ease. Their quote was flat rate and very reasonable so I was happy I wouldn't be guessing how much it would come to at the end. She apologized for not being able to get me in the week I called but was able to fit me in the next week - which was faster than I had expected! The technician came at the quoted time and took about an hour, which is how long they had told me on the phone. It says something about other companies on island that this is a noteworthy comment! He was very friendly and worked quickly and efficiently. He showed me the visible spots he had cleaned, but the best thing is now our AC is back to being icy cold - I had to bump it up to make it warmer! - and it smells nice and clean. I paid in cash (there is a fee if you use card. You can also write a check if you prefer). We will definitely be happy to use this company again in the future!

When I called to ask about it, I was told the company was busy, then that the referral company should have told me, and there were no notes on their end. It felt frustrating at first with a lot of back-and-forth. To their credit, they eventually refunded me the full amount, which I really appreciate. I'm glad they made it right, but I hope in the future they communicate fees clearly upfront to avoid confusion for other customers.

The Air handler condensation water pan was over flowing in the ceiling. What started as a minor wet…read morespot has now become a nightmare. He told me to clean out the pipes. So I did, but still water backing up. So he recommended a pump. A few days later his guys came and started, but they brought the wrong cover pipe, so had to leave. They plugged in the pump but did check to ensure it was the correct voltage. I am not a licensed electrician but this seems to be an oversight. Then they left without checking if the pump was running correctly. A few hours later we smell smoke and water was pour out of the ceiling. They had cut both the primary and alternate over flow lines. And the pump wasn't working, so the water had no place to go. I contacted them that night (Friday) and they said Al would come Saturday later after. Saturday came a went, next they said Al would come Monday afternoon. Monday came and went. Then I ask when will someone come. They said Tuesday morning. Finally, the two guys that installed it the first time came. They discover the pump was burnout. They departed to get a new pump. Installed the pump and told me it was working. I ask when will the water stop leaking. The answer, when the residual water is gone. So what started as a wet spot is now massive water damage. Now they stick me with labor and the price of two pumps. Also now need to figure out how to get all this water damage fixed. Crazy because it has been 3 hours and still leaking water. I mentioned that they should have checked first before leaving the first time. Al's answer sorry no warranty on the pump. I inform Al to just bill me and our future business dealings are over and he says I lost his respect. Really??? Okay, fair enough. I hope he can be successful with that type of business model and behavios. I seriously wouldn't recommend this company to anyone or any other business. AMV overprices and under delivers. AMV's business culture is built on greed, aloofness, and incompetence. Please be warned and take your business elsewhere. Now this is my experience and perception, but in this day of cut throat business, how hard is it to just do the correct thing and create more business opportunities in do so.

Myra (office manager) was very sweet and got back to my quote and questions very fast, explained to me whats was included with maintenence cleaning my split AC indoor and outdoor units and was able schedule maintenance with my day time preference in 2 days. They partner with Hawaii Energy and gave me $150 off instant rebate for maintenance cleaning both my indoor and outdoor units, which made their rate very competitive compared to all the other company quotes. Cleaning day I was notified in advance when the technicians were on their way. The 2 technicians were professional and came on time with their company KK air conditioning truck and van. They were both very nice and patient with my 2 curious toddlers and dogs. The cleaning work was phenomenal, and both indoor and outdoor units were squeaky clean when they were done. 3.5% fee for credit card payment and received an email invoice receipt. In mid May 2024, I had our central air conditioning serviced. I contacted this company after…read morereading the reviews. The appointment was made very promptly and Myra was very friendly. On the day of the appointment, we noticed the two technicians were consulting with someone on the phone. We found out later it was the owner of the company. Long story short, they were confused about the drain lines and had to spend additional time "unclogging " them ( which we were charged for). We paid over $500 for this "service"! We were grateful for what we thought at the time was their due diligence and thoroughness. I even wrote a very complimentary review on their website. Fast forward to August 31, 2024 when we discovered a leak originating from the upstairs ceiling. The origin of the leak was an overflow of the drain pan from the air conditioning unit because the drain was not working properly! I immediately called KK air conditioning to let them know and Keith the owner came out. He informed us that the installation of the condensate pan was improperly installed (this is not true because this is not a new installation and we have had it assessed by two other AC companies since then and they did not mention improper installation) which caused the leak and that the technicians cleaned out the secondary drain because the primary drain was difficult to access as it was underground?!? I asked him why weren't we told this at the time since we're not the air conditioning experts and he replied, "they're just technicians " . Keith felt he was doing us a BIG favor by not charging us a fee for coming out to check on this problem. The cost for the damages of the leak was over $53 thousand dollars and took 3 months to resolve. Our homeowners insurance was increased 278 percent for 5 years!
