Amazing service! Very convenient and very responsive! I had James come out and take a look at my Camaro, the check engine light came on and it was acting up. After an hour of looking at her, James got her working by switching a spark plug. He said eventually that the fuel injectors would need to be replaced on that one area and gave me a quote for replacing one and then all three on the one side. I own a couple of vehicles that need maintenance now and then. James has been our valued choice for a couple of years now. I initially had my vehicle diagnosed and was advised I needed a water pump replacement. I contact ProFleet with an estimate and agreed to the pricing vs. everywhere else. James showed up as promised (on a Saturday at that) and proceeded to run his own diagnostic. After a few questions, inspections and test he determined it wasn't a bad water pump. It ended up being I was I need of a radiator replacement. In my experience with mobile mechanics, they show and do the work that was requested without confirming the diagnostics. James could've easily replaced the water pump and I'd still be faced with needing the radiator replaced. I had James install front wheel bearings on my auto and had all kinds of problems when he was finished. My ABS light and all other panel lights stayed on. James could not correct the problem so just left it as is. Had another mechanic investigate and come to find out the wheel bearings were installed backwards causing the ABS light and all other sensor lights to stay on. Contacted James and he would not admit to his improper installation of the wheel bearings. It has cost me $519.00 to have corrected what James caused. This is not an honest business and he does not guarantee his 100% guarantee. read more

I first want to thank James for coming to my rescue when I needed a good mobile mechanic. I am so impressed with the level of professionalism that he exhibited when he came to my rescue recently. I'd be willing to bet that this guy is THE best mobile mechanic in all of Austin. He is just that good. And he's one heck of a nice guy to boot! My car refused to start right when I was preparing to make a long trip from Austin to California. I'm no slouch when it comes to working on cars myself, but because I was just at my storage facility I was very limited on tools. But I tried for several hours to troubleshoot the issue just by trying a few things and checking all through the wiring. At the same time I was attempting to fix it, I was making calls to various mobile mechanics off the internet, but none were able to come out right away to help me and I was wanting to get started on my trip asap.  And as it became later & later into the evening, I knew it would become all the more difficult to find a reputable mobile mechanic who would be able to come to my rescue... But then I found an ad for for Profleet buried a couple of pages back on Craigslist. I'm guessing James only puts an ad on CL every now & then because he probably has the reputation that keeps him plenty busy. But thank God that I found his ad and called him because James could tell how desparate I was when I called, and he told me he was very confident he could solve the problem and that he would be there in 20 mins.! Man was I ever relieved to find someone who would come out this late in the evening... it was now getting to be almost 9pm if I remember correctly. After waiting just a few minutes, James called me back and said he was stopping at the auto parts store to pick up a starter in case that was the issue. At the time, it did seem highly likely that it was a starter that had gone out, and with it getting that late, his decision to get one before the stores all close was a very smart decision. Can you believe that his service is that good? And he still arrived at my car within 30mins. with a brand new starter! But rather than just assuming that it was the starter, James got out his high-grade tools for troubleshooting electrical issues, and began going through the process of finding the problem in a well thought out manner. And within 5 mins or so he was able to decipher that it was not a starter issue, but a fault somewhere in the electrical system... shortly after that, he nailed it down to the Clutch Safety Switch. He then pulled out a small parts bin with several small rubber bumpers and plugs, found one he knew would work for replacing the factory switch (it's actually like a rubber plug) and stuck in place of the old one. Car started up right away, and I was back in business! He said he would just return the starter on his own time and not charge me for anything other than his time working on the car... what a deal! So if you have any issue with your car, do not waste your time calling anyone else, just call James at Profleet Mobile Mechanic! Good honest mechanic. We were worried that it was going to cost a lot to get our truck to start and run safely (a tow-your-car-in shop had given us a quote of $800 to fix just one of the potential issues) but James got it up and running the day after the diagnosis for a much more reasonable price.
