2 friends recommended this company to us after having great experiences. We moved townhouse to townhouse last Friday. I really don't have enough positive things to say about the crew and the whole experience. Moves are so stressful, but they were so nice and helpful, extremely fast, and super careful. This paired with the extremely affordable pricing is an absolute dream. We almost hugged them when they were done in under 4 hours and everything was just how we needed it in our new place. I have used this company three times in the past 6 years. The first time they picked up my stuff in central PA and moved it to northern VA. The other two moves were local in NoVA. My roommate and I recently moved from Arlington into DC. We moved from an apartment complex with an elevator and loading dock to a fourth floor condo with no elevator. I think the total ended up a little under 500 (with tip) for two full bedroom sets of furniture, an entire living room set of furniture, a dining set, and at least 30 boxes (maybe more). They did it in one trip. We went over the estimated time we had in our contract, but their overage rate is extremely fair. $500 for that amount of stuff is a steal! We used our own boxes that we gathered from friends etc, but they also offer boxes, as well as packing/unpacking services, though I do not know how much of an additional fee that is. I do recommend scheduling your move for a weekday morning, and being the first move of the day for them as they can get behind schedule (we made them a few hours behind schedule because of all of our stuff - oops!). I really thought this company would do a decent job because some friends of mine used them and were satisfied. All I can advise you is to check your furniture carefully before you sign anything! My very expensive bed frame was broken, shelves from my bookcase were lost in transit and the legs from my entertainment center were broken. I called Pro100movers to talk with the manager. They offered me a $100 towards damages which did not begin to cover the damage. I chose not to take the $100 and felt that it is better to post this warning. read more

I've used this company twice for small local moves and both experiences have been great! The response time was prompt and I had a contract within 24 hours of contacting them. Contract was clear of how much supplies are if you use theirs and their packing policy is there too. Day of the move second time around the only hiccup was that they accidentally went to the destination instead of pick up, but since I wasn't in a rush or anything it was no big deal plus they don't start charging you until they get to the pick up location so no loss there. The move was done within the min of 2 hours. They worked super quick and were careful with all my stuff especially since it was raining! These guys were great! Reasonably priced and very helpful with any question I had. The 2 gentlemen we had helping us move were professional, polite, and very careful with our belongings. They took the time to wipe down any items that needed it, and thoroughly wrap our furniture with pads. We had to move our whole townhouse in a 16ft Pack Rat moving unit, and Pro100movers made it happen! They came recommended to us, and we will gladly do the same to others! Great experience! read more

Both times they were easy to set up appointments with, efficient and had a fair price. These guys are awesome! It was my first time hiring movers. They moved all of my stuff from Petworth to Rosslyn in an hour and a half. I had both furniture and lots and lots of boxes. I was amazed. We used Pro100movers about a month ago for an interstate (within the DC region) move and my fiance and I thought they were excellent. We found them through an advertisement on Craigslist, and were able to schedule our move 2 weeks before our move. We communicated mostly by email as the scheduler recommended, but the owner was prompt about responding. We had the movers go to 4 different stops (2 in MD, 2 in DC) before moving us in to our home in Alexandria. The two movers had great attitudes and genuinely cared about the safety of our stuff. I HATE moving, but the movers from Pro100movers made moving so much more pleasant than it could have been. They did show up a little late because of a mishap with the GPS, but they more than made up for it with their professionalism and care with my belongings. They charge by the hour with a 2 hour minimum. They got me all moved in exactly 2 hours. We had a hiccup when we arrived to my new apartment due to other tenants moving out of the building. The movers compromised with the people who were moving before me and convinced them share the freight elevator with us even though they had the key to control it! We also had difficulty getting into the garage at my new building, but the driver was great and so was his partner at directing him. I was afraid they wouldn't get into the space because it was so tight, but they were patient and they got in just fine. The names of the movers who moved me are Al and Dee and I would definitely recommend the both of them! read more

I used them July 24, 2015 for moving from one location to another in DC and have already recommended them to 3 of my friends who are moving, They were extremely polite, on time, personable and even my dad was like "damn these dudes are strong." The website is correct in that they don't charge for extra stops, which was a huge help because I was able to drop off a couch I had recently sold. They moved me out of a 4 bedroom single family into a townhouse. They packed my TV's, mirrors, and other big pieces we could not box. They were very careful with my stuff. We moved our things from a overflowing four bedroom to two rather small storage units. The crew of 4 were professional, skilled and equipped to handle the difficult logistics of transporting and then arranging our things into the storage units. They were efficient in disassembling our furniture and hauling it into their truck at our townhouse, and then arranging it to maximize space in the storage units. They did a wonderful job overall, and the crew members were great. We plan on using them again, and highly recommend this company. Recently used for move. Damaged m my property. Provided false/ not up to date insurance and ddot information. Wasn't until a.l called the MD and VA Insurance fraud division that they Provided me with the correct information. They said they would come and pick up my damaged custom oak dresser and have it repair. Yet they would not provide me with the company or person who was going to conduct the repair. There was NO excuse for this company to take as long and cost more for them to move my small 1bdr apartment as it did for them to move a family of 6! For almost the same aggravation, time, inexperience and lost furniture, I could have rented a Uhaul for a fraction of the cost. I would not recommend this company to move ANYTHING! Here's my experience... This is the second time I have retained movers and this experience was awful! I secured their services after receiving positive reviews from a friend and her family of 6. Contracting for the service was easy and the woman over the phone was pleasant and professional each time we spoke- even after I became irate. My contract stated the movers would arrive between 2pm-4pm on 7/31/14. I needed my one bedroom apartment moved in which my 2yr old daughter and I lived. The movers called at about 2:30 to inform me they had gotten behind at the first job and were stuck in traffic. They didn't anticipate getting to my apartment until 3:30 or 4:00. I called to complain that due to their extreme tardiness , we would have to travel in rush hour making the time between apartments longer. They arrived at 5:15pm with no further communication after the first call. The mover stated his phone died and his partner was using his phone for GPS, so they couldn't call and provide me an update. They loaded the truck by about 6:40pm. That seemed long, but I wasn't too concerned at that point. They asked me to find an alternate to my new apt b/c they couldn't take the Baltimore Washington Parkway which is closest to my old apt. I'm not from DC, so I had to ask my neighbor. The movers looked on their GPS and still couldn't find a way, so they agreed to follow me. A few minutes into the trip they told me they knew where to go, so then I followed them. Within 2 miles of the apt, they asked me if I knew the rest of the way b/c they couldn't figure it out. Since this was a new route, I had no idea! I was able to find it with my GPS. We arrived at the apartment at about 8:10pm. They struggled to move the couch in and concluded it would not fit. So I was stuck with a couch at 9:30 at night outside my front door. Fortunately some friends agreed to buy it from me, but I had to pay the movers to take it to them. After moving everything else in, they couldn't get my entertainment center in. After working in it for over 1 hour we decided we could buy a new for less than the $80/hr we were paying. So that ended up in the garbage. I called the company and complained that it was 11pm and the movers were still in my apartment. After a lengthy conversation in which the very polite woman listened to me and tried to provide reasons as to why they would take so long, she did concead that neither I nor the staff should have to map out travel, nor have info about commercial vehicles not being allowed on major highways. They agreed to take off 30 minutes, but I STILL ended up paying $660. My friend and her family of 6 paid $600 (on 7/26/14) and they lost no furniture. read more

I am glad to other people had such good experience with Pro100 movers. Let me tel my story, i hired Pro100, to move me from VA, to MD, about 46 miles away. review the company permit, Insurance and so on. all looks good, I even spoke with Al who in the world is him? all was okay I accepted the price and sent a confirmation via email. 2 days before the moving schedule email the company Al reply me that everything was okay that the moving was gone to start as planned, 8:00 Am on the email with quote and all that other stuff, he even guesstimate time base on the company experience and told me the move will take anything from 4 but not more that 5 hrs, the contract was a truck and 3 mans. the day before moving around 12 got a phone call from a lady to verify moving time, but then she asked if they can arrived 9:am instead because the workers will have to start to early to make to the office and pic up paper work. My response was not because we have a schedule time and they shouldn't consider fact before agree on to time with me. Any moving day was there, I have packed all my stuff we even go the family members to bring all boxes to the garage so it will be ease and to expedite the process. 8:00 am there was not moving crew, 8:30 not moving crew at 8:45 call Al to ask what was going on, told me that he was going to call the driver check their status and let me know, well I am still waiting for him to call me back? Finally 9 + mover got there, greet them and try to communicate with then to make sure that they read label and instructions on the boxes, but one of the mover told me that was no my business they were professionals, so I decided to leave alone. Well they start loading the truck and they didn't finish till 1 pm just that. because the fact that I was promise a large truck to move a 2 bedroom home and arrived a 16 fee truck they have load and unload items constantly to make a fit in the truck .they got to a point to ignore the FRAGILE label and crunch up boxes full of china and fine crystal as result a many broken items, a serious damage to a very expensive console table. they stat driving with the truck open in the back and drop several boxes on the highway. took them 3hours and 18 minutes to get from point a to point b a 46 miles drive normally takes 40 minutes but not more than 1 hr . when they got there even the leasing center was close because it was pass 4. it took them another 3 1/2 hrs to unload the truck @ 7:30 I ask them to leave everything and leave because so far there was a total of 10 1/2 hrs @ $80.00 plus others fees total almost $1000.00 Pay the bill and have to call my daughter, , my in-law son and one of he's brothers to come and help us bring the items into the apartment, I was sick to my stomach to see the mess and got even worse when I start to open boxes and find my special item broken and my furniture damage. In the mean time I call Pro100 mover AL and was them around 3:48 pm looking for the movers and my items, that i discover that AL refer the job to another moving company that I did even not hat exist, He did no ask me if I was okay with nor before nor after, it was till notice that there was a trouble when he told me that if I have any problem to put a complain to this company ??? that they were moving me. Al hung the phone he refused to talk to me I keep calling and got just a voice mail over and over, to this day he never batter on any thing. SO unprofessional, and rude I wont recommended ever to not body, the trouble I and stress I went it to much for anyone to even think about hiring this PRO100MOVERS This was a nightmare. AL before he continue running this company must learn Honesty and achieve costumer service skills, I am planning to start a legal demand becuase I have lost so many boxes, and great deal on borken and damage items plus the extensive driving time read more

Great crew! The guys were very friendly, accommodating and professional. However, I wasn't pleased how extra supply fees were sprung on me at the end of the move. I was charged for tape, bubble wrap and picture boxes. I was only told about the charge for picture boxes, which I don't necessarily agree that they wrapped mirrors and TVs that totaled 39 items. Overall the move went well and they provided great service. I strongly suggest making sure you get them to send you a quote disclosing all of their charges before you have them come out or you'll get a surprise like me at the end where cost ended up being almost twice what we expected. They claimed they could send a quote through email, a phone call would have sufficed. I called to the office to explain that I shouldn't be charged for costs that weren't disclosed upfront. They rep was polite but did not offer any reduction to the bill. Based on the quality of work I would have used them again, but based on all there extra fees, that most companies don't charge, I wouldn't use Pro100 again. This company is completely unprofessional. We packed our 1BR Apt ourselves in plastic lend-a-box containers which come with their own dollies and packing supplies. All was ready to go when the movers arrived. They worked hard for about 30 minutes and then we would catch them several times standing around talking. These were not regular breaks. They were intentionally running the time so that we had to pay more later and/or these three men were simply lazy. We talked to them about it and they were very snippy in response. They continued with terrible work ethic and even took double the time to get to the move-in location. We spoke with their manager and ended up in a screaming match in our home. This resulted in them bringing our items in to the door entrance without moving items to the various rooms. They also tried to hold our last item which was a big flat screen tv until we paid them for extra time spent. Look elsewhere for movers. read more

I've used Pro100 in each of my three moves in the last several years. I recently used them in May 2017 when I was moving again. I found that in the past they were much more honest about their prices and the use of additional materials. The last time, I moved significantly more items for about 300 dollars less then they charged me this time. I soon found out that the added cost was in 'materials'. Basically shrink wrap and bubble wrap that was used around the furniture in order to protect it. The last time the company just used shipping blankets to protect the couches at no additional cost. They also liberally used 'Mirror Paks' to protect any glass that really didn't need it. The simple shipping blankets would have done just as well. When questioned they mentioned that the paks were needed in order to "make the item easier to transport". Unfortunately, I believe their service has degraded in recent years. I would not recommend them for moving needs. read more

Great service. Alex and his crew busted their butt to get my pregnant wife and I into our new house. They were very responsive when emailing for estimates and scheduling and they gave us plenty of time when they rescheduled due to an unforeseen obstacle (two of his guys left to start their own company). They ended up moving us on a Sunday instead of a Saturday. A lot of moving companies wouldn't even consider Sunday moves. Fees were great (80/hr) with a 5% discount if you pay in cash. We were planning on moving all of our clothes hanging in the closets ourselves, but Alex offered the use of some of his wardrobe boxes free of charge. It took a little longer than originally expected, but we have some big, heavy furniture and they took the time to wrap it all in blankets. Overall, it took about 4 hours to move our 2 bed/2 bath condo into our single family home (2 levels). I would definitely recommend them if you are considering a local move. read more
