The day of the cleaning the guys coming to do the cleaning first called to say they were on their way, and also offered to bring Starbucks coffee for us. Booties were worn by them, as well as providing us with them to walk on the carpeting after they completed the work. Protection was layed down on our flooring and around all corners so as not to damage anything in our home. As Eric explained during the quoting process, if we removed the small items from furniture they would put foam protection under that furniture so has not to damage the carpeting while it was drying. In march I came to Baldwin Construction to have a repair done to a leak coming from my master…read morebedroom. The leak was affecting the downstairs kitchen damaging the ceiling and lighting. I was promised by the co owner Michelle the repairs would be completed within 30 days. Instead it took 3 months. And it was 3 months of terrible situations. Michelle was redaily available and completely out of the loop. She would schedule workers to return to my home without notification. Not respond to phone calls or texts for days, plus would seem send the most in experienced people to my house. On multiple occasions they left thier work area filthy and did not use plastic coverings resulting in damage to my carpet and furniture. Next my cieling was not done properly. It had ridges and lines that look like an amateur child on too much sugar fixed. That repair was redone 5 times. And on one occasion I arrived home to find workers not using floor plastic coverings and stading on my furniture to paint the ceiling. To top it off the had ny TV on full blast and were watching the world cup!! After this they sent someone else to complete the cieling repair. That finally ended ok until.... The painters. The painters did a terrible job till this is not fixed. They left paint on my sofa, cabinets and floors. Long story short that dod not workout well at all. So then we arrive at 3 months later. It's bill time. The company itself had received multiple payments from the insurance and yet they said I owed them $5000. To which Michelle firmly declared there was no error. In fact she insisted they had excellent book keeping! After I pressed for accounting the bill dropped to $3900 . Then it turns into $3060. So I had Mercury step into to what was owed if any. They informed me that Baldwin was trying to over charge me and the insurance was not going to pay. Including that Baldwin was charging me a fee for a microwave replacement that I had already paid for. The microwave was $429. In contacting Michelle she told me she credit me back minus the installation fee ! Amazing zero customer service. At this point I remind them that I still have not been taken care of on my damaged furniture. I tell them I need them to fix the damage that was done prior to me signing any release forms of completion or issuing last payment. We come to an agreement at this point I would make the final payment of $2067 which included my cost to repair my furniture and they would refund the $400 for microwave. Do you think they held up their end?? Absolutely 100% not. No honor. No service to the community. Stay away from this company.
