We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

Average price compared to others. Service declined to the point that it was more of a headache…read morethan anything else. Promises of services were not kept and an attitude from the owner, Japi, that he really only cares about checking the 'completed box' and collecting payment. I can't say enough about Blue Haven Pools. If I could give 10 stars, I would! Our designer, James…read morewas AMAZING!!! We met with multiple pool companies, and they all offered basically the same generic design. James, unlike the others offered something we never would have thought of. We had some pretty tough "needs", and James somehow managed to fit them all in in such a unique way. Also his communication couldn't have been better throughout the entire process. Now onto our project manager, Zack. Again, can't say enough about his communication and attention to detail. We literally received an email every day informing us of the next step. Our project was done in 7 weeks and we had zero delays thanks to Zack's scheduling. Overall, great experience, and I can't recommend them enough!

But otherwise the contractors were great. The general manager was wonderful and my sales guy James Zimmerman was the best. I didn't get a spa because it would reduce the size of my pool based on my yard but also cost was a factor. The travertine pavers my fountain, LED lights, everything turned off beautifully. One thing I would say is that the Haywood OmniLogic app does not work on the cell phone for some reason. This is a glitch with Hayward as I've seen so many people complaining about the same thing on Google. If you want a pool timely fashion and great crew, call James Zimmerman at Blue Haven Pools Lewisville , Texas.

Plays a mean game of dodgecall. I have had issues with this company since they resurfaced my pool…read more The plaster is now coming off in chunks. Looks like the bond was either not applied correctly, didn't get time to dry before the next layer was added or just poorly applied. I am not a pool professional, but I can now see the layers on the chunks of plaster off the bottom of my pool. I was unimpressed after about 6 months after the work was first completed. Trying to get a response after money was paid was impossible. May be good for pool cleaning, but I would NEVER invest in having them do another major pool job.

9/23/2020 Sales comes out great work and fast follow through…read morein the beginning. Work started fast and over fast. Barely got through one year of a very expensive resurface high end product and gray dots started popping up here and there... at year 2, they've made it all the way to the spa. I've tried talking to Mike / Justin about it and he's so all over the board. So said he no longer uses the team who resurfaced our pool ... he sent out a guy who said he could dump chemicals in and it would take it all up , but he couldn't guarantee it. $900 dollars for a gamble is way out of my comfort zone. Have tried communicating with Mike / Justin but omg he's so not on this planet. I hope he's well it was so obvious he couldn't concentrate and had heavy trouble keeping track with a conversation. That being said, I can not recommend this company . Great on the front end, but nothing on follow up. Only up sales and odd customer service. We'll have to resurface our pool to clean out their poor workmanship and drop another huge expensive amount of money to fix this mess. I have read in my research that the product used was not applied correctly and not allowed to dry correctly. When shared with Mike / Justin it's like deer in headlights and again nothing they can do because it's not their problem. Shocking.
