I needed pool service pretty immediately after the rains in November and Japi was among the first…read moreto call me back and provide a time for me. He is very thorough, and knows his pools. He is responsive and even answers all of my dumb questions (I am a first-time pool owner). Prices are in line with the industry average, but he truly cares about the pool and does a good job every week! The proof is the report that he sends with each service with pics!

We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

I never received the email so I called them back and they apologized and sent the email out. After waiting almost an hour the day of our appointment and nobody showing up, I called them to make sure someone was coming. They ended up coming but were not prepared for the appointment. There was no point in them stopping by. He left saying he didn't have the dive equipment (we discussed this over the phone that they would have to dive to detect the leak) that he would check the weather and get back to me. It has now been over 3 weeks and I have yet to hear from them. The weather has been warm and sunny with zero excuses. Extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and professionalism. They have wasted so much of my time.

We had a specialist come look at their work and they told us that they did a poor job and didn't use enough bonder nor put insulation underneath the sand. Pool mastic should last 5 year minimum. I contacted no worries pool care and a lady told me that she would come by to look at it. A couple weeks later of waiting, no one came by nor contacted me. I tried calling, no voicemail, I used their contact us on their website twice with no response. A couple times I called the phone number and it was disconnected. Finally 3 months later a gentlemen picked up, which was the owner and said he would come by that day to look at their work. When he came by, he complained to my husband that it was the sun and shifting soil that ruined the mastic (hello the pool is completely exposed to the sun, it's supposed to withstand the elements). He offered to redo the work for a 50% off discount. I paid $1100 a year ago, I wasn't going to have them come out again to do a poor job that lasts a year. Horrible company. They must be going out of business because no one picks up the phone. I ended up getting everything done RIGHT by Florida Baker at allmastic.com.

We were so grateful that the pump motor didn't burn out! My wife went by our former residence the following Monday and found the pool out of prime. I headed over and found the pool filter basket lid installed backward/upside down with "FRONT" facing the wrong way, and therefore it could not be tightened. I fixed the issue and got the pump back to prime and immediately called around, while my wife let the owner of the other company know about "yet another" of his employees' goofs. Pretty Pools had the most reasonable fees and have done an infinitely better job than the last company. We had zero issues with Pretty Pools maintaining our pool and the house just sold and the buyers have been referred them as well. Pretty Pools also does the chemicals service at our new place and I'm as pleased as can be. They also sent a tech (for a fee) to evaluate our pool heater. The information I received was invaluable and we will be using them to replace the heater. There are other companies in the area that also do great work, but charge quite a lot more and I'm not entirely sure they're worth it. Pretty Pools does a great job, communicates well and always returns calls/emails.
