I wish I could give this place a ZERO and I did not even use them. What happened to customer service. I exchanged multiple emails with Mark to try and purchase service from this company. After a couple of emails I told him I would like to purchase their service. No answer, so I sent two more emails and never heard back. So what does a smart consumer do, I took my money elsewhere to someone who would help and we are very pleased with the service we obtained from the other company with great customer service. This is what service is supposed to look like! We called looking to replace our hottub/pool heater. Mark called us back right away and explained our options and how the process would go. He got us expedited on the schedule, showed up on time, and completed excellent work (possibly better than the original installation). Mark is first class. His insight kept me from making a huge mistake on my new home purchase.

Our heater quit working and we call two different companies to see if we could troubleshoot the problem. Both of them recommended we get a brand new heater which was around $4000 plus service. Our heater is only two years old and we just didn't think we needed a brand new heater. We called McKinney Pool 's and Mark was phenomenal. He was extremely thorough in the exam process and was able to fit us in quickly since we had an event coming up and needed the heater working asap. Mike was able to come and service the heater and find a problem and solve the problem for less than $200. Unfortunately, this kind of honest business is not very common anymore. The two other pool companies that looked at our heater were unable to fix it so their solution was just buying a new one and installing it. Keep in mind most pool companies have a service fee anywhere from $90-$150 per hour. I wish you would have called Mark first. I'm so happy we decided to get a third opinion and Mark was the perfect person for the job; he spent time talking to us about other features that we could work on and fix to make our pool function better, and gave us a lot of insight and ideas. We will definitely be switching to McKinney Pool 's because of Mark and think he has done such an outstanding job helping us! Mark did an amazing job renovating our 25 year old pool. In addition to 80 feet of crack repair, he delivered the pool of our dreams by adding LED lighting and helping us pick the perfect materials. He was very attentive to the smallest details and made sure we were 100% happy with the job. Noticed pool pump didn't come on late one evening after everyone was closed. I left 2 voicemails and 1 email, but Mark was the first to call me early the next morning. Discussed options on 8 yr old unit instead of trying to talking me into all new first. Came out that same day and had me up and running. While here, he made an observation that made him ask about my pool chemicals. It wasn't balanced correctly and told me how to correct the problem. Mark is the best. I had a very outdated system and had several companies out to give me a quote on getting my equipment replaced. Mark was at my house in less than 48 hours- would've been sooner but it rained the whole day after I called him. He explained to me what he would replace and what he would keep because there was nothing wrong with it. All other companies wanted to replace everything. Once we decided what we wanted to do Mark was out that same day to start work and they were done the next day! Our new system looks and works great! Mark took the time to label everything and spent almost an hour going over everything so I could understand how to work all the equipment. Jose is great, he is super nice and always professional. The owner on the other hand is not. He always finds "things wrong" and on this last one where I questioned the cost he flipped out and sent an angry text and threatened me with litigation. Got a new cheaper better pool company and the fixes he said we needed turned out not to be needed after all. He has lost all of the customers in my neighborhood at this point. When I purchased my house, I had to run all repairs through their prescribed pool service. 50% of the time the work was incorrectly done and resulted in another service call (by a different pool service company). When the home warranty expired, I went with McKinney Pools and have never been more happy with a pool service company. Mark is extremely knowledgeable about his trade, conscientious, and is helpful to the pool owner, explaining things so that the layman can understand. Very pleased with the service. Broken valve and timer mechanism shut down my pool, called Mark (owner) and he came out the next day. Excellent service, fair pricing and very quick response.
