Windy River Pools is a new company owned by the Kessler's, a married couple. Robert Kessler owned Pacific Builders Group- a Landscaping & Pool - Design/Build Out company in California for 28 years. He takes that knowledge and his General Contractor license in pool building, renovation and maintaining to Texas! Windy River Pools offers a holistic approach in pool maintenance! When I set up an account with them, Robert trouble-shooted my poorly working Polaris, tuned-up my pool equipment, evaluated the pool water chemistry and vacuumed, removed plaster stains and brushed down my pool! Their monthly maintenance fee is $150 a month! * Instead of bringing my Polaris into Leslies Pool Retail 4 times a year, Robert found it was more to do with the pressure in the pool and corrected the issue. * I was so unhappy with my original pool remodeler that had re-surfaced my pool. I now have a 3rd rebar patch that is eating thru, since the re-plaster! It looks like a pool fire! I had started to interview more remodelers to correct the issue at a big price point. No need. Robert took care of the issue on his first visit. * My main concern was coming home and seeing white powder at the bottom of the pool. I thought the filter was spitting out DE. It was from the weekly chemical service I was using for the pool. They would leave clumps of Shock at the bottom of the pool producing excessive chlorine in the pool. This leads to the plaster eroding. * Windy River Pools have now converted my pool to a mineral pool (a little over $300). The pool uses very few chemicals, I did not need any additional equipment and you should see how clear the water is! Plus it is much more healthy to swim in. What an amazing change! * I always know when they have serviced my pool and what had been done to it with the following report below. Windy River Pool Company is in a class all to its own - like no other! And it is so much easier on the pool owner to have one contact to address all concerns.. at such a reasonable cost. To know my pool is consistently being cared for and any issues, like rebar coming thru, is addressed immediately is such a relief! Highest Price, Lowest Quality: A 3.5-Year-Old Pool Falling Apart Like It's 15…read more I am writing this to warn any homeowner in North Texas considering Southernwind Pools. I made the mistake of choosing them because they were the highest-priced bid and had strong reviews. I assumed that a premium price tag guaranteed premium quality and professional oversight. I was wrong. In reality, I paid for a luxury product and received bottom-tier craftsmanship from what appear to be the cheapest possible subcontractors. The construction process during COVID was already no fun, which I am not even holding against them. What I am holding them accountable for is the systemic failure of the pool's structure since it was completed in September 2022. The "Infinite" Leak Cycle and Incompetent Service We have dealt with multiple pool leaks since the very beginning. Southernwind was so delayed and unresponsive regarding leak detection that I had to personally pay for three full leak detections out of my own pocket. Even when they finally "fix" a leak, it is a temporary Band-Aid. In late 2024, a leak reappeared in the exact same spot they had supposedly repaired just one year prior. We were losing half an inch of water every single day. As a gesture of good faith after John reached out to "solve" my issues last year, I even signed up for their pool service again. That was a mistake. I quickly found that the pool service was not actually cleaning the pool properly either. It was just another layer of high-priced, low-quality service from a company that clearly does not value its customers once the initial check clears. Substandard Masonry and Tile Failure The tile and grout work on this pool is a disgrace. The grout on the spa began cracking and deteriorating almost immediately. Grout should last for several years, yet mine didn't even last one. After I fought to get it regrouted, it failed again one year later. The tile work is even worse. It was clearly not done properly, without the necessary sealing or treatment required for a pool of this "caliber." In 2025, the tiles began rising and falling out. They were "fixed" by Southernwind, only to have the exact same failure happen again during the 2026 freeze. This time it is a disaster. My entire back panel wall is rising and failing. It is proof that the original installation was fundamentally flawed. Don't Fall for the "Management Fix" I previously wrote a negative review about these issues. The President, John, contacted me and promised to resolve everything if I took the review down. I trusted him and deleted it. That was a massive mistake. The "permanent fixes" they promised were just enough to get me to stay quiet for a few months. Now, in 2026, I am facing the exact same structural failures all over again. Do not let the "premium" branding fool you. Southernwind Pools charges luxury prices but delivers a product that falls apart in under four years. I am now 3.5 years into owning a pool that has the structural problems of a 15-year-old installation. If you value your money and your sanity, look elsewhere.

I placed a Better Business Bureau complaint because they took money off of what I paid them saying that they did groundwork when I never asked them to do groundwork as well as charging multiple trips when they are the ones that came out to try to replace the liner and said that it was not warm enough, which me as a consumer I have no idea about stuff like that so that is on them. And most recently today, this is the message, that they sent me Todayafter me trying to get a hold of them about fixing their poor workmanship Mr. Wilcox, After further review of the false allegations we received, we have chosen to not to do any further business with you. We have sent over to the BBB the continuous harassment of your phone calls all morning along with the date of your liner change and that you do not have a warranty. Your liner change was done in May. At this time, you will need to find another installation company that will work with you. Any further attempt of communication along with any further false allegations against this company will not be tolerated. Management North Texas Pool Installation They don't take ownership they just try to accuse somebody of making false allegations when everything is 100% accurate. They told me a bead liner was more secure but it just barely sits in a track. They didn't put bead lock in to keep it secure. They clearly just wanted more money.

We were never told that. I do know how things work so don't try to patronize me. we have signed forms that the work is done after every step. You are adding in a new form and trying to get us to sign it. There is no "going to bat for us". My contract was not with the concrete company it was with NTX/NTXI. You told me at the beginning that the patio wall would be $2500. Then when it came time for us to get the refund you tried to say it would only be $1800. we argued back and fourth with you about it. It wasn't until i looked back at my emails and found where you had stated what the price of the wall was originally that you finally agreed to it yet still haven't given it to us. Obviously I'm not the only one with these complaints so please tell me who is being untruthful?
