We finally decided to replace all equipment, convert to salt water, and replace all the lights as they didn't work. Kevin came out and provided a quote. It wasn't the lowest but it was the most complete. He spent more time talking with and understanding our wants than anyone else. So basically everyone else's quote was incomplete. I honestly cannot recommend this pool service company at all. The nice young man that came out to do our service the last three weeks did not speak any English, which is fine when you don't have a problem. I had noticed a couple of swimming bugs (look up backswimmers and water boatmen!) in my pool. That is a sign that there is an algae problem (some algae is not visible). The backswimmers bite! And both bugs lay eggs in the pool. I tried but could not explain this to him. I called the office and explained to the lady who answered what the problem was. I asked for someone to call me back. Later that day one of the tech guys sent me a message saying "our tech manager has never heard of these bugs so we know we didn't cause it!" Seriously? How can you have a pool company and never hear of these bugs? That was our first red flag. I sent him articles and videos of the bugs, but within days our pool was infested! I have killed well over 125 bugs. You have to be in the pool to catch them in your net and then smash them. They are very fast. And I have three bites on my leg and foot to prove it. I sent videos of them to the pool company. Then guy who had texted me became an "expert" on these critters. The same young pool guy came out the next scheduled maintenance day (no one could come out even a couple of days early to address this!). He sprinkled a bit of white powder and poured some blue algaecide in the pool. The articles I had read said you had to double or triple shock the pool. And really scrub the walls and floor to remove any algae. But that was not what was done. We watched him on our outdoor cameras and noticed he did not even test the pool water! But he had recorded perfect numbers on our report! (red flag number 2!) That made us curious. My husband went back and read the reports for the two weeks prior to this one, and all three weeks had the exact same "perfect" numbers. No way can that happen in the summer heat in Texas. (Red flag number 3!). The guy who came out those three weeks must not have understood what the numbers mean, so he never addressed issues with our pool, and the problem just got worse. The bugs were still having a party in our pool. And I was still smashing dozens of them. I texted the company again, and instead of addressing the problem further, he said I just need to be patient. So we decided to take a water sample to Leslie's and have it tested. Good thing we did! The store manager said almost all our levels were bad. And we had absolutely no chlorine in the pool at all (after the pool was "shocked?")! Our cyanuric acid level was extremely high (red flag number 4!). The Leslie's manager suggested we double shock the pool and bring in another water sample the next day. The levels were still bad, so we shocked one more time. In the meantime, we called a chemical pool guy and he came out a couple of evenings later. He said it was still bad, especially the cyanuric acid level, pH, and chlorine. He said until the numbers were better, the bugs would not go away. He had us overflow our pool for 8-10 hours two nights in a row! The cyanuric acid is now almost in the normal range. The chlorine is finally working in the pool, but I'm dreading our water bill. All of these could have been avoided by Blue Oasis correctly testing the pool water, addressing issues, and making sure they did their job. Sometimes, it is wise to listen to your customers, and maybe come out and investigate the problem yourself. Text messages did not help the problem. I am so frustrated that this happened. I'm not thrilled about their backwards communication with billing (prorated in the middle of the 1st month with no notice, billing for new filter with no communication that it was actually replaced). My initial impression with Blue Oasis was a 5---but their customer service went downhill from there. As a new homeowner, we were advised to pursue a leak detection for our pool. Per usual, I used Yelp to request leak detection quotes from businesses around the metropolis; Blue Oasis replied within seconds! Their 5 star yelp rating & prompt response persuaded me to give them my business. I began messaging with Zach via yelp. After a couple of questions he advised that someone from leak detection would contact me regarding an appointment. I asked him when I should expect an appointment request. The messaging stopped. I was a little surprised by this behavior but I still patiently waited for this phone call. 3 weeks later, I got the call from Shane, who is with a 3rd party company called AQUADOC LEAK DETECTION & POOL REPAIR. My leak detection was scheduled for the following week. I'm still very understanding of the delay due to the severe weather we had in TX last month---I get it, these guys are busy! While awaiting our leak detection service, our pool pump ended up going out. We bought a pump on amazon and after many failed installation attempts, we reached back out to Blue Oasis ... shoot, at this point I considered them our pool guys! I spoke to a gentleman and he suggested that we get an electrician to our house in order to increase our breaker voltage. I asked if there was a way that he could send someone out just to confirm that's what we needed. He ignored the question and still pushed us to hire an electrician. It didn't make a lot of sense to me, but hey I'm not the expert. I took a couple of days to call other pool guys to see if an electrician was truly needed. The answer from everyone was NO. A little annoyed, I called Blue Oasis AGAIN. It's the day before my leak detection appointment and I needed my pump working asap. I spoke to Zach this time and told him that I needed someone to my property for a pump installation. Zach told me he would reach out to Rudy to see if he could make it out. He ended up texting me with the same remedy as before. "You should just hire an electrician. My guys won't be able to make it out there for another 5 weeks." At this point, I knew I probably had to cancel my leak detection the following day since my pump wasn't working. I felt defeated but still texted him back asking, "Fine, but how can I go about getting on your books in 5 weeks?" And again, no response. Fast forward, I didn't cancel leak detection because guess what?... Shane was able to install the pump!! Took 10 minutes!! NO ELECTRICIAN NEEDED and it works beautifully. Zach and team gave me the run around twice and failed to reply to a worried, frantic customer .... TWICE. I was tempted to give this company a 2 but technically I never received services from them... plus they sent me Shane from AQUADOC who was a Godsend. I will definitely use them instead of Blue Oasis in the future! read more

We retained Blue Oasis as our pool company to help maintain our chemicals, as well as help us restore our pool from the poor condition the previous homeowners left it in. They did an incredible job with that, however, the true unexpected benefit of retaining Blue Oasis has been their innate ability to help fix problems that arise with our pool heater, spa, etc.. Their knowledge of troubleshooting those type of systems is truly invaluable for a new homeowner and has been extremely appreciated. I cannot express well enough how absolutely incredible this pool company is! We have two pools, one of our own and one at a rental, and our regular pool company stopped showing up and doing promised work. The pools were turning green, growing algae, full of leaves, bottoms covered in old leaves and debris...we were left in dire straits. The initial signup process was quick and easy and it was on Yelp. The first service date was set within a week of signing up. Ours was on a weekday. 1st cleaning went well, the tech gave us a 15 min notice. 2nd time we're told he came and never "got a hold of us" which is untrue because first off he didn't give the 15 min notice as was agreed. Not sure if he called my husband but when I called and texted him right when I saw the missed doorbell, there was no response. Had he waited 10 min I would have been there. I work within 10 min of the house and doors can't be left open because of pets, hence the 15 min notice arrangement was made. When I messaged on Yelp they responded by saying - "Good afternoon, this is Blue Oasis Pools. We saw your message on Yelp. Alex has been trying to get ahold of you when he gets there every single week. We can't keep driving over there and not have access to the backyard. Can you leave a lock code or leave the gate unlocked every **day? This way we can make sure we can get your pool taken care of every week. Thank you!" This whole thing could have been avoided had the tech notified us of his arrival, AS WAS AGREED. I held on for a few weeks but man they are just too ignorant. I dealt with unsatisfactory cleaning each week (pictures attached, they're from within an hour after cleaning). Despite bringing it to the tech's attention numerous times, he didn't care. He spent no more than 7-10 min every week, from in to out the door! Emailed the company several times and tried calling, but no response to phone calls or emails. Can't recommend ENOUGH ‼‼ Rudy from Blue Oasis came out the next day, on time, as promised. Pointed out several issues that were not addressed by our prev. Pool service company: 1.There was not any D.E. (Diametacious Earth) In the newly installed filters that we purchased FROM our prev pool service company. 2. The salt / salinity level was set too low. 3. The flow rate was also set too low, so, with all these issues, the pool was bound to turn green, especially after all the recent rains. Rudy addressed all these issues/ settings, he was very polite, courteous, instructed us on the schedule and time for running the pool filter, and gave us a prorated price for coming out, which I doubled because he was just so prompt, and attentive, also, performed a lot of work. Horrible company and people to deal with. I hired them b/c my pool got algae in it while i was out of town. After three weeks its still full of algae. They supposedly cleaned my filter and backwashed it which caused the pump to overpressure due to them screwing up the filter cleaning. This caused my less than 3 year old pump to spring a leak and will now require me to replace it. When I talked to them about fixing the pump issue they caused, they tried to blame it on me and refused to pay for the damages. Customer service was atrocious. Blue Oasis Pools Owner: Rudy , No registration with TDLR found Blue Oasis Subcontracted Electrician: Brennan, No registration with TDLR found TDLR is Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation which requires anyone in the State of Texas to have a TRAIL to do electrical work in Texas. Visit TDLR.Texas.GOV to search for licenses for all electricians, plumbers, etc... in Texas. (Protect yourself and check first) Blue Oasis started an install of Pentair pool equipment at our home and Rudy (the owner) performed part of the install and his electrician Brennan did the rest. Neither is a Texas licensed electrician even they both performed electrical install work on this project. After more than one instance where equipment was having issues during the install and required Pentair to step in to assist, I asked Rudy and he and if Brennan were licensed electricians. Rudy never answered yes or no then went on to text that it doesn't matter since I had never asked him this before. I asked again for the TRAIL number for either of them. Rudy could not provide these for either of them. He then texted that Brennan has a TDLR number. ( But never relayed that number to us. ) After TDLR Texas Dept. of License and Regulation assisted me they did tell me there is no record of Blue Oasis Pools, Rudy, or Brennan in their system of licensed electricians in the state of Texas. After reviewing the security cameras on our property for the duration of the install we also noticed the white truck driven to the job site multiple times to perform the electrical work by Brennan had a TICL number on just one side of the vehicle and that number DID NOT BELONG TO ANYONE INVOLVED IN THIS INSTALL, Neither Rudy nor Brennan, the only 2 performing the electrical work. Upon discovering neither were licensed in the state of Texas to perform any of this type of electrical work we halted the job. We then hired a Texas licensed electrician to remove all equipment that was installed by both, as neither Rudy nor Brennan is licensed and the risk was just too great to take as equipment warranty is voided if it is installed by an unlicensed electrician and home owners insurance will not cover any damages to the home should the reason for damage stem from this equipment causing a fire or damage to the home if installed by an unlicensed electrician. We then discovered during the removal of the Pentair 400K Heater, by the Licensed Electrician, loose wires and faulty wiring had occurred. PENTAIRS users and install manual for the Pentair 400K Heater states in large letters MUST BE INSTALLED BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN. Yet, Blue Oasis Pools accepted this project, with no licensed electrician performing the install potentially putting my home and my family at risk. We returned all equipment back to Blue Oasis... A Pentair 400K Heater, A Spa Blower, Easy Touch 4, and all accessories including antenna. This was handed off with police present as Rudy was insistent that he be allowed to return to the property to remove it as he stated rip it out. We had to hire a licensed electrician to remove all of the installed equipment. We did explain that once a licensed electrician was available, as per the law in Texas requires a licensed electrician to perform any electrical work , that once removal of the equipment was complete it would be returned. Within 1/2 hour of the removal of the equipment, Rudy was called to retrieve the equipment which he did. Blue Oasis is now in possession of all equipment that was installed and approved and accepted its condition upon return. In the end, the Blue Oasis install that began on June 9th, consisted of weeks of multiple visits by both Rudy, Brennan and Pentair reps via phone and in person. The newly installed equipment, which we had installed by a DIFFERENT POOL COMPANY, with a LICENSED ELECTRICIAN took just a day and it works. VERIFY ALL ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING WORK IS BEING DONE BY A LICENSED TECHNICIAN. SAVE YOURSELF SOME TROUBLE. read more

Was a Customer of Blue Oasis Pools for over a year and it has been a mixed bag or good and bad experiences. Went through 5 different pool techs in the span of a year. One of which literally dumped some chemicals in the pool and darted after 5 minutes. Zach, the owner, did reimburse that service but there is a lot of work they need to do with the Customer Experience, logistics, and optimizing their routes. On multiple occasions the tech was running behind and had to come a different day and there was no alert or email advising that the service would be on a different day. Prices are reasonable, but you get what you pay for. The final straw that did it for me was when I found that there were piles and piles of leaves stuffed in my skimmer that were supposedly being cleaned every week but nobody took the time to vacuum them out and make sure that my system is clear. read more

We are very satisfied with Blue Oasis and Rudy's service after a couple months. We had a lot of calcium build-up on our tiles and he cleared that up with improved chemistry and carefully scrubbing the tiles. In their defense they did come 2 out of the 3 times they said they would and my new pool company said that the chemicals were well balanced when they started. Original review: Did not have a good experience. The initial consultation to set up weekly service was fine but communication was overall very poor. It took multiple calls from my end to figure out when my service would start. They finally came on a Friday and said that my service day would probably stay Fridays, then they switched my service day to Mondays without telling me. It was based on my location, so it's reasonable to switch the day, but you have to tell me! When I complained about the lack of communication, they said they could move me back to Fridays and would come that Friday no charge. I said that wasn't really necessary but the guy on the phone insisted. They no-showed that Friday and then denied that they ever said they would come. Started out fine. They had a great sales pitch and we were tired of excess charges from the last company. As of 2 weeks ago, the pool has not been swept, algae has been a constant since summer, and I have spoken to the guy doing the cleaning multiple times. I left a note in my control panel 2 weeks ago regarding the pool cleaner and the algae. He never even opened the pool control box. On Wednesday of last week, he could not have done anything other than skim the leaves off the top and vaccuum the bottom. Algae all over the steps and ledges, so he certainly didn't brush at all. Thursday I had the pool tested and the chlorine was very low, so he's not even testing the water. I have called twice and been assured my message is being given to the manager, but no phone call back. Their response to my complaint last week was to send someone out to clean my filter.
