We hired GP&A after speaking with several pool companies and chose them specifically based on their…read morereviews praising quick response times and communication. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

I will not waste much time explaining their extra poor service as it was originally posted on yelp, the first and only yelp review I have ever written. But suffice to say they DID NOT even begin to clean my pool as we had agreed that they would do for $150 per hour. They left at least 1/3 of my pool with green algae (my filter had broken and the pool say without filtration for almost a week in the heat). They didn't perform any of the standard procedures short of dumping my chemicals in the pool and then tried to charge me for my chemicals. They refused to return to clean the pool without additional charges. After posting a bad review on them, they are so inept that they didn't even purge me from the email list and therefore sent me another email requesting a review. Of course the process to buy always ask for the phone number and the sales person did not care to see that she had been purchasing colabrite chorine for years. I attempted to purchase the proper chlorine and return the Ozonator only to be told they would not refund, even though their per say helpful sales person sold her the wrong thing. We have shopped this store for over 20 years ... not much customer service in my opinion. I was at the show room and was amazed at the quality of the Marquis hot tubes in the show room verses what I received. Southern Leisure is doing the right thing replacing it. I did not want nor buy a blemished hot tub I paid full price for it. Now its up to Marquis to build my replacement to the quality standards I have seen in other Marquis hot tubes. Colby with Southern Leisure was great he was very understanding of my frustration with the issues and in the end came up with a solution that was just and fair.

Since then, I have had Caribbean Blue out twice - once for a clogged pipe and recently for a motor pump change. They are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely responsive.
