If you would like a racist and discriminatory experience please go here. If I could provide less than a star I would. The options in this town are very limited and it often feels like you are trying to pick the lesser of evils. This place 'Pro Nails' berates any customer that is not white. They speak to you in a condescending tone that just makes you feel inferior. They constantly assume you cannot afford their varying prices. A fill in can range from $30-$70 depending on the male owner's mood that day. He completely disrespected me and made me cry in front of all clients in the store simply because I advocated for myself when they tried to skip my turn. The manager got in my face as I was sitting and made several hand gestures as if I were nothing. He never apologized and just doubled down on his unprofessional behavior. He made sure to protect his white lady clients all the while. Not to mention the unsanitary practices and lack of care that lead to fungus growing on my nail. This place is a disaster. Stay far away. read more

So I am sitting in Pro-nails as I am typing this review. I was here last night and told the technician that the gel polish was not to my liking. She kept manually filing my nail to correct the poor polish job she did. She kept stating there was a "dip" in my nail causing the problem. I finally gave up as she was very reluctant to wipe the gel off and start again. Lo and behold, about an hour after leaving the shop the polish began lifting. So now I am back trying to get them to fix the one nail. Of course they want to hurry and drill off the polish. Naw, nope. I asked for the pusher and get the polish off myself. Now they are ignoring me. I wonder how long this is going to take. Update: So the tech, who serviced me last night and now today was not happy to see me. The feeling was mutual. So she begins by pulling out the drill. Ma'am what are you drilling? You drilled last night! She stated she had to get the product off the edges. Ugh, OK. So she does her thing and was about to put the polish on. I stopped her and asked about the base coat to which she responded I had product still on. This is vexing to me as out of the same mouth she said she had to drill it off. At this point, I am well beyond over with this place. Nail fix polish technique sucks. I bet this won't last the rest of the week. And there is more! 3 days later the FN polish on my other hand starts bubbling up! read more

Honestly if I could give this place zero stars I truly would! Customer service is so very important in every establishment. A older lady came by to get service and yes she was moving very very slow but she is elderly and asked as soon as she came in could she sit in a chair and all she wanted was her toe nails cut and colored. They went off with refusing service because she she was so slow getting to the building they stated she would take forever to get in the pedicure chair. The elderly lady stated again she didn't want to sit there she just wanted to sit in a regular chair and they cut and paint her nails. That's when the employee started getting louder and stated she needed to leave and see her foot doctor they can't do her nails. For one they didn't even take a second to look at her feet and two they were just extremely rude to her. I was so turned out by the rude behavior I will never go back. read more

Completely dissatisfied with the way my pedicure turned out. Tom, my tech today, did not seem as though he wanted to take his time and do my feet properly. He did not file the nails properly nor did the polish come out shining like gel normally does. I made mention of the polish looking dull and Tom gave me what felt like attitude. He rushed and did one swipe (literally) of clear polish and basically said he was done. I had also mentioned that some of the polish was on the skin and if he could clean that up, I would appreciate that. Well, that request was ignored completely. Dont come here if you clwant quality looking nails. read more

They staff here were nice and it looked as if they took some measures to keep people protected, with the plastic hanging and spacing out the stations for social distancing. Only issue I had was they didn't wipe the stations after every customer. I didn't make a fuss, I was just happy they had a last minute appointment available. I was happy with the there work and would go back again. read more

I've been trying a lot of places looking for someone to replace Chic nails since they closed. I know, no matter where you go, what the product or service, it's in the technician, right? Guess I've been finding a lot of duds, nail related. Gel too thick, too thin, doesn't last, chips, cracks, pulls my nails? So, walking in to Pro Nails a young woman coming out is looking at her nails, I ask if I could see what she had done. She was pleased with it and quickly showed me her gorgeous nails. My life is so busy it feels like a whirlwind so I hadn't taken time or decided what I wanted but what this young lady had would have been perfect for my week ahead. She had gels but I have been getting natural while trying to let my nails heal from crumbling, and gels make them worse. Most places have the same color in regular as gels do I wasn't yet concerned. When I told the guy receiving me what I wanted he seemed no longer interested in helping me. I asked what the girl leaving had, he curtly told me it wasn't available in regular polish, so after browsing limited regular nail polish colors I asked him to show me what the girl had and he handed me a bottle off his station. Hers was a pretty irredentist light orange but what he handed me was pink. Well the whole thing turned into a complete cluster mess. I ended up with mani/pedi gels and still didn't get the color I wanted. While my technician was a very friendly person, his work is not representative of the price they charge and he was slow. $80 is about $20 higher than anyone in our area, at least that I've used or am aware of. They also charge $1.00 more if you use debit/credit, and you better have cash for tipping because you can't include it. I was very disappointed when I left, without the color I wanted even after deciding to go ahead & get gels, that turned out too thick. The toenails are acceptable, but not as well done or attractive as I've had them done. I don't mind to pay when I get nice, quality work, but I really resent it when the product or service is inferior and over priced. I guess I started this with it's all in the technicians. Better know who to see. When you go somewhere. read more

I went in to have a gel fill done on my nails. When I sat down I asked for my cuticles to be cleaned up, the technician told me that's a gel manicure so I agreed to having a manicure performed. The tech butchered my nails, they were incredibly thick, unevenly filed and much shorter than I requested. I needed tips on my thumbnails as both nails had peeled and broken the shape of the finished thumb nails was awful, the wrong sized tip was used (much wider than my natural nail bed) I went back in and requested the thumbs be fixed. The repair job looks even worse than the original. They never touched my cuticles. Do not waste your time or money! read more

Horrible service!! I won't go back again. Two negative experiences at this place. First visit, for a gel mani and regular pedi. Pedicure was pleasant--no issues! Then came the gel manicure-- the gentleman painted my polish so quickly, that it was on my cuticles. (It was a natural pink color, so not completely obvious.) When I pointed it out, he said he take care of it at the end. Once the gel had dried, he took a file along my cuticles to break the edges, which later caused the edges to lift in less than a week. I still had polish on my cuticles! Next visit, I stopped by, not knowing it was an hour from closing time. Front desk gentleman, who I later found out was the boss, said no problem to a gel mani and regular pedi. Same gentleman from last visit did my mani/pedi. Again, no issues with pedi. When he started my mani, I told him about my last experience and asked him to slow down. He complained that there was only 20min left before closing and that he had a family to go home to. I reminded him that his boss said it was no problem and that I could go somewhere else. He continued with my mani, though very quickly and roughly cut my cuticles, causing pain. I asked him to slow down. He applied the gel polish at a much slower pace and it came out much neater without being on my cuticles this time. However, I have sore, red cuticles because they were cut so harshly. I refuse to return to this place. Don't waste your money unless you want to be rushed. Go somewhere else for better customer service! read more

ProNail, I just cant with you anymore. I went for a mani/pedi yesterday as a treat to myself. I haven't been in a while. Side note, I hadn't decided what dress I was wearing to Olivia'a recital tomorrow, so I went with a plain white gel polish on my nails/toes. While on the golf course with Shawn last night I realized my nails had a yellow tinge to them. I called ProNail first thing this morning and explained what happened and the owner told me "its white, its hard to keep clean". Then he told me I must have used a cleaning product that stained my nails. NOPE! So at today at 4:30pm I went back for them to redo the gel polish. I expected to have the gel taken off first, but nope they sanded them lightly and then painted right over top. I questioned it, but at least the blue covered up the white. I snapped a picture of my hand with the gel polish all over my hand. I had to ask for it to be cleaned up! I have gone there for YEARS! Lately they seem to always be rushing thru their services. read more

I took my daughter there for her first experience of getting her nails done and it was terrible. I painted her nails at home but I wanted her to get the experience of going there and sitting in the chair and us getting them done together. The woman was rude like we were a bother it took her less than five minutes to paint her nails and she charged us $21 I ended up not even getting them done because I didn't want my daughter to just have to sit there now but I got them done. I have been coming here on and off for 5 years. Every time I don't come here I end up disappointed & coming here to get my nails fixed or re-done. EVERYONE is good in there, but my favorite nail techs are Bobby & Alie (Alie is always super booked so if you want to schedule with her you may want to call 2 weeks ahead) & my favorite pedicure tech is Jessica (she does good nails too). They take their time doing your nails and toes and they use the very best products. The shop is clean & updated as well. They also do good eyebrows! For a gel full set, gel pedicure, & eyebrow wax it was $91 (they charge $1 for using a credit card; not bad for an excellent job). Overall you should ALWAYS come here for all your services!! read more

There are not a lot of places in Aberdeen/HDG that have impressed me. This place is nice. It's my first visit, I'd have to come again to see if it is an equal experience. I was a walk-in for a manicure and pedicure (no design/natural nail). My only disappointment is that I wanted a neutral/natural nail color and couldn't find a shade light enough. They use a brand I'm unfamiliar with (DND - I think) so finding a color I know was difficult. However my technician Bee Bee(?) was willing to test them on her nails so I could see them before committing. She did a very thorough pedicure which is hard to find these days. I will go back, I'm not a regular nail salon person, I go sporadically. read more

Five lovely ladies (one Bride, three Bridesmaids, one Mama-of-two-Bridesmaids) need mani/pedi treatments before the big day. We were directed to Pro Nails where we were able to set up same-day appointments for our crew. I started with the pedicure and relaxed with an issue of People and the Tyra Banks Show (don't judge) while my my feet were made fabulous. It had taken me awhile to sort through the large selection of polish colors available, but I'd finally settled on corally-orange colors for tips and toes. Lovely. My manicure was equally flawless (and still chip-free four days later!). So what sets this place apart from any other nail-place-in-a-strip-mall? The nail techs. There was some communication issue between the MOH (Maid of Honor) and the guy doing her acrylic nails, but everything was sorted out quickly and painlessly. read more

So the lady asked me if I wanted "gel for $35 or acrylic for $25 ?" I said gel! And I got ACRYLIC ! With GEL polish... sooo idk where we got confused ... I know the difference between my nails , I didn't say anything while I got them done because i like the way they turned out, but again I didn't get what I asked for or PAID for. I thought this place was going to be good. The First Lady I had was Jessica and she did a decent job so I planned to go back to her, I made my appointment with her again for next time. Well I get there and I thought I was going to be getting Jessica but the manager guy took me and I thought maybe he was going to switch with her after he took of the gel but that did not happen! Thinking since he was the manager he would do a decent job I was greatly disappointed with the out come of my nails! I had broken one thumb nail off and he had replaced it with a bigger nail so now my thumbs have 2 different sizes. He did not bother to shape my nails AT ALL. Even the acrylic were different sizes and lumpy the gel polish was half asses he didn't do a good job at all He rushed to get me done and was so distracted by the Olympic Games on their tv he hardly even looked at what he was doing. I am so extremely disappointed I don't recommenced this place at all because even if you request an appointment with someone apparently you don't get them. read more

This place is only ok, and much too expensive for the service and quality I received. I wanted to try and find a nice place to go in Aberdeen and unfortunately this was not it for me. I get a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. It took forever! I'm used to getting both services completely in about or less than an hour. I was here for about an hour and twenty minutes. I did not like the pedicure, there were too many chemicals in the water and it kind of hurt my feet. The guy also made me bleed on one of my fingers and then tried to tell me that was normal for dry skin (I do not have dry skin). Also one of the managers seemed to be taking a nap in a chair. Not a professional environment. They also charge about $10 more than other places that do a better job and have a more relaxing and friendly atmosphere. read more

It was very easy to get an appointment here and the selection of polish is excellent! The man, whom was very friendly, doing my nails told me that they were short handed by 3 people (all on vacation) and that would probably explain the poor job he did on my gel manicure. He did not file or cut down my nails, a very poor paint job (very poor, leaving the sides of my nails not painted) and sped right through my mani to where it was not even very relaxing or enjoyable. I had a friend with me that requested a new towel - note they were not changing their towels between customers this day - and the man doing her nails was definitely annoyed, giving her a blank stare then getting a new towel per her request. On a brighter note, her nails looked fantastic. However, it makes me weary of how sanitary is Pro-Nails? The vibe was cold and you could definitely feel they were short handed which makes for a rushed, unpleasant and unsanitary experience. I would not recommend or come back to Pro-Nails, unfortunate. read more

Great service and reasonable prices. This place is located in the same complex as the Panera Bread and Rite Aid in Aberdeen. The salon was clean and welcoming but I got a nail take off and the guy used a old dirty acrylic nail to pop my gels off and it hurt like hell. No soaking or anything. I came here out of the blue because I needed a place local to my work. Immediately I was welcomed by Bobby, who is very friendly. He also did my gel manicure and it was quick and impressive. He had extensive attention to detail. I've since been going back every other week to get my gel nails redone and have been impressed every time with every technician I've had. My go to girl is Jessica. She is amazing and I can show her any picture I find on pinterest and she can replicate it exactly. She's very talented.
