Had my air conditioning unit replaced and a pound receiving it back there was a major leak. Started blowing hot air after a few hours. I bought a can of freon from AutoZone and pumped it in there and it blew cold again for a couple more hours. I took the truck back where I was once again assured the problem had been fixed and once I left .....hot air. Seems like my ac unit wasn't the only thing blowing hot air up my. The first recommendation from Daniel was to have my front tires replaced and he showed me how worn out they are. Next, he carefully went through other discoveries noting the factory recall replacement of the rear tow does not allow for the proper rear alignment. This place is trash lied to my wife a out her vehicle said they did work sent it to the chevy dealership and they had no record of her car and we were without the vehicle for a week. Got ripped off. Went in for just one front hub replacement which my normal mechanic said needed changed in the future. Was leaving town and my normal mechanic was not open so I went here. They said I needed both hubs, new brake pads, rotors, engine mounts, and transmission mounts. Being in a hurry and not wanting any problems on the road I told them to do it all. Total cost was $2500. When I picked it up I asked for all of the old parts. Everything they replaced looked fine, pads looked like new. Took them to my normal mechanic and he said all the parts were in good shape and did not need replaced. Only the one wheel hub needed replaced which should have cost around $400 to $500. Long story short I told them to order the wrong part and when they were going to put it in they realized that and let me know we had it all wrong instead of doing the repair and charging me for it. I was referred by Discount Tire for an alignment. They did a great job with the alignment, but they found a transmission pan leak and wanted to charge me $328.33 to change the gasket, filter, and fluid. I pay $150 for the same job at ACE transmission shop and they get more of the fluid out. If I didn't know better then I would have gotten a lesser job for twice the price. Beware. read more

They damaged my oil pan and wanted to argue on if they were responsible for the repairs. They did over $530.00 In damage and still charged me $46.00 They were supposed to do an oil change. The mechanic that was working on it used a 12 point wrench instead of a six sided socket. He stripped out the oil plug. Then rather than get the plug out with proper tools for a stripped plug he tried a crescent wrench which rounded it off more. Then him and another shop helper beat a smaller socket onto the plug which rounded it off even further. They finally got the plug out by welding something to it. Afterwords they told me it was all done and charged me for the oil change. I drove to the edge of the parking lot and decided to double check there work and looked at my oil pan. The pan was very bent up and damaged. My wife and I went back inside showed them the damage and they just wanted to refund the oil change. After 45 minuets of arguing they agreed to buy a new pan but wanted to leave me stranded for two day's to have it installed. I was on vacation with no other form of transportation. They wouldn't even give me a ride to the condo I was renting or offer a rental car. I did get the pan but I am being told by my mechanic at home it is over $350 to have it installed. I got no apology and my vehicle that I have taken immaculate care of is now damaged. I couldn't believe they had the BBB emblem on there window. What should have been a 20 Minuit oil change became a nightmare that in the end will cost me hundreds. I come to Texas every year because the people are so friendly. This is the first bad experience I have ever had in this state. Horrible people with a horrible business. read more

Took my 2012 volvo c70 in for a diagnostic check because there was a thudding sound on the drivers side. They drove me back to work in my car so they could here the sound for themselves. I told the mechanic driving that my boyfriend at the time suggested it might be the bearings. At the and of the day, they were going to overcharge for the bearings and so as consequence of not having the work done there I paid the diagnostic fee of $76. I took my car to another mechanic whom through thorough, legitimate investigation and not concluding on my boyfriends suggestion alone, found the problem to be the driver wheel hub. He fixed for half the price of NON-NEEDED bearings. I feel robbed of $76 read more

I brought my 2007 Toyota Avalon in for an alignment check and electrical issues. I had a few vague diagnoses from different shops, but no one told me exactly what the issues were. My car also went through 2 sets of 80k mile tires in less than a year; obviously it had serious problems. Discount Tires recommended Pro Drive to me and within a few hours these guys called with a complete list of everything that was wrong. They made A LOT of repairs and had my vehicle back within a few days. This is the most courteous, professional, and loyal group of people I have had the pleasure of doing business with in this city. Would not EVER take my car back here. Sat there for two hours waiting for an alignment that was never correctly done. They tried to sell me basic parts for outrageous prices. Had the nerve to tell me that I needed to take it somewhere else to get the tires rotated to fix the pull after said alignment was supposedly completed. Uh, shouldn't that be included in your alignment job?? They didn't close my hood all the way - thank goodness it is a rear opening hood so it didn't fly up at the windshield doing 65. And worst of all they ruined my tire. My mechanic says they must have pinched it while they drove it up on the racks. I have a nice big bubble on where the sidewall meets the tread. Got a refund for their bogus alignment job but now I get to buy a brand new tire at $120 out of MY pocket for their mess up. I wouldn't take my car here if you paid me. read more

While hauling our travel trailer from Austin to Port Aransas, we developed a coolant leak and also displayedi a "service engine soon" light. A local auto parts store recommended Daniel at DrivePro. I was referred here by Discount Tire because my car had a bad vibration and I had my brand new tires re-balanced several times, and had an alignment done a few months before and was told that it was a suspension issue. Went to Pro Drive and told them everything and asked for a free suspension check. I was assured that the technician had done a full suspension check and that it was an alignment that I needed. I was unsure but I went ahead and got the alignment. I went down the road and it was continuing to vibrate I called and got my money back for the alignment. I have since sought the assistance of another mechanic and they took one look at it and showed me where the CV boot was torn and has no grease in it. If they really had done the suspension check they would have seen it right away. I was not going to write a review but I was encouraged to because I do not want someone else to have to go through this same process. It was an obvious issue that could have saved time and money if the job had been done correctly the first time. read more
