Be careful with that worm JJ. He'll lie about the work done, charge you and send you on your way. I've had an issue with my truck and it was a tough one. He told me the truck shut off on them a mile away, had to get it towed and spliced some wires. Leaving the shop, I made it half a mile away and it shut off on me again. Benny made it out to me and told me the work he did. Nothing that JJ had told me. Benny made it right though. He got my truck running again, but after his office guy lied about the work done. It's not the owners fault his workers lie. But know I won't be returning because of that. read more

I had a on-going issue with my Honda hrv rear brake light out. After 3 weeks of trying to get auto shops to diagnose, took it to Performance Auto Tech, Benys listened to my issues, got his shop on it, 15 minutes later they tell me i do need to replace whole taillight Led assembly lense. Benys ordered the lense, next day lense arrived, Benys called me to bring car in to install lense. I arrived late afternoon, shop was busy, Benys took my suv into service shop, about 20 minutes later Benys came & said your car is ready! Wow! Awesome service! Honda dealer wanted 1200.00 for this replacement, install. Yes, 1,200.00. Perfrmance Auto Tech did the job for 541.00 total. I am very satisfied & still amazed how they did the work so fast. Winter Texan from Canada. My 2012 Ford Escape starting making a loud rumbling sound while here in Port A. Because of the reviews here, I decided to drive the extra distance to have this problem resolved, after dealing with a local shop on the island for another small issue where I was way overcharged. I figured it was something to do with the exhaust manifold. The problem was badly rusted nuts. They had me fixed up and out the door really quick and the price was what I had hoped for and better than I expected. I will definitely go back there again if I ever have any other car issues in the future. It was well worth the drive from Port Aransas. The staff was very professional and friendly. 4 weeks they had my vehicle for rubber coolant hose . Called asking for money before work even started work. Oil pan gasket leak that is now leaking worse due to oil pan gasket was replaced with gasket sealant and not the actual part that I was charged for . 3300 dollars later and 4 hr drive back home to put it back in a real shop. I would not recommend this shop to my worst enemy. Napa auto care service needs to start doing quality control of their shops. read more

First they said two days to fix headlight and small piece on undercarriage. Couple days later they said they can't fix it and have to send to one of their body specialist and will take a week to fix. That guy never called me to go over price or what was happing with the car, I waited a few days. Then the person I spoke with first calls and says the body shop guy is on vacation for a week. That's more than a week in the shop nothing being done. This place has poor management, poor communication and poor track of their employees. I will never go back. read more

We were visiting Corpus Christi the weekend of April 14, 2017 from Austin. The remote start in our 2006 Ford F-150 was shorting out on our way down causing the dashboard to click and turn on our truck randomly when we would stop for gas. It had me worried thinking it could start a fire if not fixed. We took it to Performance Auto Tech that Friday, I called ahead they said they were full up with other cars but would check it out. I swung by from our hotel and Benny himself took care of it and made sure our truck had a clean battery connection too. He disabled the remote start no problem even though he had more than enough business to take care of. Really showed me how he cares about people no matter the case. Outstanding customer service! I went to them for a second opinion and they preformed a second diagnostic check just ensure the issue. They found that the AC system only needed a minor repair instead of a full compressor replacement. Saved me $1600 from the other company. I got same day services on top of it all! I was needing the rear main seal replaced on my Silverado. Dealership was expensive so I called two other shops for estimate. Both shops said they would called me back with estimate. Two days later and they still had not called me back. I called Performance Tech and Benny answered. I asked for an estimate and he quoted me a price. He then continued to explain what all would be done. Asked if I had any questions. Three days later when I finally had time to take truck in , he remembered our conversation. Got my truck fixed in one day. Very happy with the work that was done. Great customer service , not pushy. I`ll be taking my truck back soon to do a brake upgrade. My daughter took her car here after another place wanted to charge her $100 for a diagnostic test. I searched Google and found Performance Auto Tech. I was worried about my 18-year-old daughter getting taken advantage of, but there were no worries here. Despite it being a Friday afternoon, they took her car in right away and gave her an estimate up front without a charge for the diagnostic test. When she went back to pick it up, she was told about another problem. Rather than take it back another day, she agreed to have it fixed right then and there and they only took an additional hour for the repair and it wasn't that much more money. For all the work they did, I think the price was very reasonable. I know my daughter appreciated the staff's explanation of everything and the speed of the repair. I'm sorry; I was not with her and did not get the name of the gentleman that she said was very helpful. read more
