We lived in Corpus for two years with five different cars, almost all of which had problems at some point, and they always took great care of us. They did everything from making sure a car I'd had stored for several months was safe to drive to its new home four hours away, to fixing our tires, sensors, and control arms at no cost after a third party they used botched the service, to taking a look at damage from road debris on a car they don't typically service, and everything in between. We always felt like they did good work and made things right if there was ever an issue. Kiri in particular does a great job running the place and always made us feel taken care of. Sadly, we're moving to Houston, so we'll have to find a new mechanic--but hopefully they open a second location there! read more

Took my car there for an oil change. The staff was wonderful! They let me know everything that was going on with my vehicle and even caught a potential problem that could've happened in the future. Definitely will go back for all my Automotive needs! read more

Beware! This place is a total con. They can not give a line item estimate. They wanted to charge me $1500 dollars for under $300 worth of MSRP parts and another $800 to install them. When I questioned the price they told me that the parts I looked up (OEM parts) were "do it yourself parts". I told them I would never be back. It turned out my problem was a ground wire which cost me nothing to fix. Parts are parts. They tried to con because I a woman and elderly. But I'm not stupid. They might be ok for an oil change, but I wouldn't trust them for anything major- price gouging is one of their specialties. read more

This place is a rip off they double charge you for labor but add it to you parts then also charge you labor they are over priced I sent them a truck with a band new battery been starting up for months send it to them and now it is dead the owner comes out cussing at you if you want to say something about their poor customer service then when you write a proper review want to make themselves out to be saints they do not and I mean do not give two shits about vets let alone disabled vets on fixed income they should be ashamed of themselves read more

They currently have my vehicle. They sent me an inaccurate repair estimate that stated that they hadn't actually done the diagnostic that they charged me $125 for. When I pointed this out, they ghosted me. And they have my car. They lie and they'll hold your vehicle hostage. read more

Dub's Garage - Auto Repair Near Me - Corpus Christi, Texas

I cannot in clear conscience recommend Dub's anymore. Their $125 examination fee amounts to an entrance fee to get into their garage and results in a laundry list of things you didn't ask for in the first place. Their pricing has gotten out of hand and IMO honest pricing left their business. We were customers from way back, but we're done. read more

Took my bronco to get the speedometer fixed. After weeks of being at Dubs Garage and paying almost $5000 ....there problem still going on. Yes they replaced headlights changed battery got an inspection and change some wires, but to me that doesn't justify $5000 and still have the issue that I took it in for. Not to mention they seem to act like nothing gave us the keys and made us think everything was fine until we got in to drive off. Went back in and they are like well we can't find the part that is needed blah blah blah. I then get online and find one for $175. This place is a joke and apparently robs people blind. Please people be mindful of where you go and who you trust to do your work I will not be going back or recommending anyone to go there. After we bought the $175 part and put in ourselves WOW ITS WORKING something Dubs didn't do read more

I can't begin to tell you how Dubs Garage helped us! We called in the morning and said sometime late in the afternoon we would picking up a car and had to drive it back to Austin that same day. We didn't know the condition of the car and we needed them to do whatever was necessary to get it on the road. We didn't get the car until late in the day. We realized the transmission was slipping a bit, and the brakes weren't very tight, the tires needed air. We called at 4:30 and said we were 20 minutes out and they said "No problem!" Everyone was accommodating. The ladies in the front office were very professional and the nicest people in the world. The mechanic was fast, got the tires filled and didn't try to get any repairs out of us at all. He said the car was roadworthy and we made the trip home to Austin safely. We were far from home, and we had many choices of places to call for this service. We are so glad we picked a local, family owned business that's been around since the year I was born. Go to Dubs Garage where they treat you like family read more

I will start this review off with some positives. The front desk staff are very nice. They also sometimes offer rides home when your car is being worked on. You also receive pics of the issues found. Here is the bad: I had my car serviced there in November 2023. At that time my car had the works done. New brakes, rotors, brake system flushed, manual transmission serviced, oil change, blah blah blah. Almost 4k worth of work. Since that time, my car has been driven about 2900 miles. Yes, only 2900 miles. 1600 of those miles were out of state. My car does not get driven far or frequently, maybe once a week. I took my car back this week and the estimate was for 1500. Imagine my shock when they wanted to service my manual transmission. AGAIN. 2961 miles after IT WAS JUST SERVICED!!! Usually they're not serviced until about 30k miles. The lady at the desk said 'the tech just added that on based on mileage recommendation, they didn't look back at your service record'. Ok cool. So you want to charge me twice as much (last service 11/23 was 125, now want 325) for a service that was just done. What if I never looked back at my last service record or remembered that it was just done? Did they even check the transmission fluid? Obviously not, because if they did, they would have seen the fluid is basically brand new. I would have been ripped off! That's cool! When I called the lady out on it she didn't have much to say. They also had an inexperienced person 'new to driving manuals' drive my car. He apparently thought something was wrong with my clutch. And my brakes too apparently. You know, the brakes I just had fully serviced and replaced less than 3k miles ago. Why on earth are you having a new manual driver diagnose clutch problems?! They don't know what normal and abnormal feels like! For what it's worth. I don't have clutch problems. No grinding gears, no issues shifting, my clutch has had the same engagement point. I didn't even take it in for clutch problems! Oh, and my brand new brakes work JUST FINE, I might add. They wanted to charge me 75 for clutch diagnostic and 75 for brake diagnostic. No thanks. They wanted to charge me over 300 to replace two radiator hoses (each hose costs about 50 tops btw). I posted the estimate on Reddit and the mechanics there said the industry standard time to change those two parts are 0.8 of an hour, and even if California wages were being paid, over 300 for that service was highway robbery. So, if you take your vehicle here, they will treat you nicely. It is to get your money. And they may duplicate services that are completely unnecessary and overpriced. Be sure to look over your service records closely to see if you actually need what they recommend. I would approach this shop with extreme skepticism when they make their recommendations. I would also double check their work before leaving. Last time, my door panel fell off and another piece had not been put back on before I even left the parking lot. I now have zero faith and trust in this shop. I will be taking my business and two vehicles elsewhere. read more

After my son's car was hit by someone my insurance company told me where i had to take my car. I had never used this other garage before. At the same time I told the Dub's Garage service manager my car would probably end up at Dub's Garage. After 3 weeks at the other place the car was taken to Dub's Garage to fix what even the auto dealership couldn't fix. After letting Dub's Garage do what they recommended the car now runs better than it ever has. I will continue to take all my cars to Dub's Garage. read more

These guys are wonderful! They've done an oil change as well as my state inspections. They aren't pushy and are super friendly. I've heard nothing but good things about them and I can see why! I'll definitely be back! read more

They have done it once again been having problems since I bought this car and also dealing with my extended warranty has been a nightmare and even tho the warranty hasn't even been helpful Dubs always tries to find a way to get it done and cater to my needs. I can't thank them enough for being so professional and kind in my time of need. Thank you! read more

I've had 2 things done to my SUV at Dubs. The first was the air pump on the anti-pollution system. Full price for the job at Autonation dealership was $4,200.00. Parts were $2,900.00. Dubs did it for a little less than $3,600.00 saving me $600.00. They forgot to put the last 4 screws in the fender well. The good thing about dubs is they are honest as the day is long. They need to have a second mechanic go over their work so they don't make silly little stupid mistakes at the end of their jobs like they did on my car. P.S. I'm an aircraft mechanic. read more

They don't even do estimates over the phone so I need to take my car that don't run to them just for them to ball park me a price ehh

very and Friendly. mechanical work was done correctly and quickly. cost reason reasonable.

Car owners beware. My regular car place was down for state inspection..so i went here. The inspection was quick, however 1 day later a check engine light came on.. good thing i am a mechanic myself. It was the gas cap code. I cant prove they did it.. but it is very suspicious. I reset the light and code and waited..to make sure my car was good..... so be careful read more

Dub's Garage - Auto Repair Near Me - Corpus Christi, Texas

I have been taking my vehicles to Dub's since 1989. I have had 4 vehicles in the past 30 years. I checked their review with the Better Business Bureau and it was great. The staff are always friendly. The new waiting area is awesome. I do like the comfortable atmosphere and coffee. The shuttle service is also an added bonus. I have never been pressured to have more done than what is needed, and they are considerate to my budget and assist with scheduling things out over time when needed. I have recommended them highly for 30 years and will continue to do so. read more

Fantastic service. The two beautiful young ladies at the desk are very friendly and helpful. I have had to wait there for service and it has never been a long wait..but of course they have a courtesy vehicle for you. You receive a very detailed and comprehensive report of the work received. Would go there again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did find a much cheaper place to get some work done. I needed a pitarm and rear shocks. Dubs was charging 600+ for just the pitarm..for the shocks and arm done for that price. It pays to check around read more

I'm very happy with this place! Their transparency is stellar. Kiri makes this place, for sure. She is the friendliest, most knowledgeable service advisor I've met. I'm so happy to have a place I feel like I can trust with my car! read more

I have been going to Dub's for 33 years and always get great service. I appreciate friendly customer service and the ride to work. I have had 4 cars in the past 33 years and I've taken all of them to Dub's for everything from routine maintenance to "oh hell why is that light blinking" issues. It's a pretty worrisome experience trying to find good mechanics that stand behind their work, and the two year warranty on their work is a very welcomed bonus. Before I found Dub's I hated taking a car in for work. Big shout out to Kiri for always being so patient with me when I call in sounding panicked. I appreciate all those there so much. read more

Had an alternator issue with my 2004 Jeep LJ. They took care of the issue quickly and at a fair price. Recommend I have a few other things done at the same time but I didn't feel pressured about it. Prices were fair for all work done and the Jeep is running great. Nice to know they will do the work in an older model car as the dealer in Aransas Pass won't work on cars over 10 years old. They also notified me by text and call as soon as the issue was diagnosed. Super easy!!! read more

I found out about Dub's Garage by searching Google and checking out the reviews. I haven't read anything bad. When it comes to car care, I can't stand people with horrible service. Being in the military, it is a pain always having to find a trustworthy mechanic. If you want my money, treat me right...otherwise I'll take my business elsewhere. Luckily, I found Dub's. They were honest and quickly diagnosed the problem to my 2008 Nissan Xterra. I dropped my vehicle off and got it the very next day. It was cheaper than I had expected. It is a family owned business and they are very friendly. These are the kind of people you would want working on your car - not someone who is going to scam you like a lot of other auto places try to do. read more

I took my truck in for one thing and they just insisted there were other things wrong with my truck. I was definitely ripped off. My battery and alternator were fine when I took it in. All of an sudden it goes out while it's there? I don't think so. My cruise control wasn't working and I asked them to fix it. They sort of did but a week later it was not working again and when I called they told me they just got lucky with the fix and I needed to bring it back in and get charged more diagnostic costs. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. THERE ARE PLACES THAT GIVE FREE ESTIMATES AND DONT CHARGE REDICULOUSE DIAGNOSTIC FEES. read more

I was very pleased with our first experience here. I thought the prices were fair and Greg was very helpful. We will back!

Roads knocked a reservoir loose and shredded my belt. They provided informative, trustworthy and thorough service. Best auto repair I have ever experienced and will take my vehicle to. Choose them! read more

I feel like they were honest with me about what my car needed and didn't try to cheat me by getting me to fix things that didn't need replacement. They also took me to work when I dropped off my car. I couldn't afford to do the repair that needed to be done, but I will come back when I have another car repair need. Pro: Good honest timely service!! Also very accommodating and gave me a ride to work after dropping off my vehicle. Con: Pricey read more

Kiri at Dub's Garage is gifted at her job. She is a great communicator and listener and is very knowledgeable about auto mechanics and parts as well. There was recently an issue at the credit card end of our charges, and even though after much trying to resolve the matter, I told her to give up, but Kiri refused to stop trying to help us with the credit card issue. She eventually solved the problem, and we are very grateful! Our two vehicles and our daughter's vehicle have been to Dub's multiple times and are always repaired correctly. We 100% trust our vehicles and ourselves to be taken care of at Dub's Garage. Thank you for being there for us! read more

I do not recommend! I tried them because of all of the other wonderful reviews, but from the start, it felt like a high-pressure sales job. They charge a $57 diagnostic fee up front for EACH INDIVIDUAL thing you ask them to look at. So if you have 4 things wrong, it will cost $230 just for them to look at it and not do anything. I took my car in for a couple minor issues and was quoted multiple thousands of dollars to fix, and they tried to make it seem like it all needed to be fixed right then or I may "want to consider getting a different car all together". After paying the diagnostic fee, I got FREE estimates from several other mechanics and got my car fixed for one-third the cost at a different, highly rated shop. read more

This is a great place to take your vehicle! Staff is so friendly and helpful!! I will definitely continue to take my car here.

NO!!! Highway robbery! Jeep was taken in and asked for a quote, $220 for the quote, we get there and they asked for $5000 in repairs, and charged $330. read more

stay away ! do not recommend this rats. I do not recommend! I tried them because of all of the other wonderful reviews, but from the start, it felt like a high-pressure sales job. They charge a $65 diagnostic fee up front for EACH INDIVIDUAL thing you ask them to look at. So if you have 4 things wrong, it will cost $230 just for them to look at it and not do anything. They estimated the cost to repair my car will be $2400 and I end up paying somewhere else $300 bucks. and when you complaint for the high price , they want to humiliate with sarcastic comments insinuating that you are poor . read more

I am new to the state and it can be scary not knowing where to go for your car. I highly recommend Dubs garage. They have a very friendly and welcoming staff. They were able to diagnose and fix my vehicle in one day. They went the extra mile to search for nearby parts for me because I could only leave the car for one day since I had to pick up my baby. They are very trustworthy and reliable. read more

I used to drive out of town to a Lexus dealership to get my car serviced. I was nervous about coming to non-Lexus auto repair shop. But after doing my research by reading up on their reviews and even asking my patients who they trust with their cars, I soon decided to take my car to Dubs Garage. This was about a year ago now, and now I go to them for everything. They have an excellent staff and provide superb service. I was blown away by how honest they are. Greg is phenomenal, the guy can usually figure out what's going on and tell you what needs to be fixed and what can wait. I had gotten, unbeknownst to me, contaminated gas from Snappy's (on Yorktown/Cimarron) and my car quickly stalled a couple of blocks away. This happened in the evening when everything was closed. So I had the tow truck take the car and drop it off in the parking lot of Dub's garage. They already had a full day, but nevertheless, they looked into my car. They soon diagnosed the problem after replacing the fuel injector. They drained out my "gasoline" and flushed the lines with real gas. They showed me a sample of the gasoline and more than 85% of it was water!! The new injector had been contaminated by the water and so it had to be replaced again with a second injector. To my surprise, they were able to replace it at no extra cost. The whole ordeal was stressful but Greg and the gang made it all pleasant and all for more than a reasonable price. I know that women are often taken advantage at car shops, and are falsely told they have many problems with their cars and then end up paying much more. My wife, who has a different last name, came alone to get an oil change here but didn't tell them I had recommended them or that they had been servicing my car. She was blown away from her overall experience. She got her oil changed at a fair price without any hassle or suggestions to get "other problems" to the car fixed. She also said there's a lovely woman there that provided her complimentary drop-off and pick-up so that she didn't have to wait for the car at the shop. Because of prior experiences from other shops, she absolutely hates going to auto repair shops. So this was a big thumbs up from her. Bill, the owner, is fantastic as well. He will often inform us on discounts, reminders, and other useful emails. Professional, honest, knowledgeable, excellent service and pricing, and courteous. Can't say enough good things about this place. They are a class act. read more

A quick and handy location to get your state inspection done. Not super easy to get in and out of if they are busy due to the small parking lot, but the service was friendly. I love cats, but if you are allergic then the waiting area might be a danger zone for you since there is cat hair on some of the furniture from their furry mascot. The prices were very reasonable as well. read more

Dub's Garage is an honest auto shop that values your business and respects your time. These guys get it. I brought my car in when my battery died on me right before a weekend road trip. The mechanics got me back on the road in no time. Clark and Greg at the desk were especially fun to shoot the breeze with while my car's battery was changed. I recently moved to Corpus and can say with confidence that I've found my garage. I would recommend Dub's to my family and friends. read more

He was both professional and kind, and even more important, honest. I highly recommend this shop and now when I'm in Corpus I know where to go! Thank you so much!! read more
