After I paid my ransom of $174 which I inquired prior to the oil change should be around $100, I got an opportunity to look at my bill, for they wouldn't show it to me until I paid.They showed a tire rotation which I didn't ask for and inquired whether they did it or not, and they told me they didn't, but didn't take it off the bill. it is a true con man that can smile while they're ripping you off. read more

I was driving my Lincoln MKT and all the bells started alerting a problem. Texted my North Park Lincoln service person but the car wasn't safe to drive 200 or so miles to San Antonio so I called Exxon. We took our car into this shop for a broken shifter cable. They replaced the cable but in the process they also broke a large piece out of the dash, the shifter light does not come on, there is a rattle in the engine, and the plastic piece under the front bumper was not clipped back into place properly and the tire shredded it. Thomas Exxon employees on Alameda and Doddridge in Corpus Christi Texas chose not to tell us they broke things on my car hoping I would not notice; but once confronted they said they were going to get us a new dash from the Toyota dealer. Still have not received that. Now they are threatening for us to never bring our car back in to them and are refusing to fix what THEY broke on my car. read more

Great shop! I had to get an inspection for registration done, tried a nearby Firestone, guy was kinda rude, and was told it would be around 3 hours! So I found this Exxon that did inspections too. Pulled in, was greeted by Gilbert who was very friendly. He said it'd take about 10 minutes. I had a turn signal out, but I had the replacement bulb. I was told they could easily fix it, give them another 5 minutes. They also topped off my coolant that was low. In and out, 15 minutes. Great shop, they'll get all my business from here forward. Thomas Exxon put new brake pads on my car recently, and I emphatically told them I wanted ceramic pad, not the semi-metallic pads that put black crud all over your wheels. They gave me the semi's anyway because within a few days I had black dust accumulating all over my wheels. I dropped off my car and asked them to check the pads and verify. They did and claimed they were indeed ceramic. The black stuff was probably from grease, they said. So, they can't tell grease from black dust, or maybe they think I can't. I eventually had to change out the pads myself, and guess what? You can't tell semi-metallic pads from ceramic by looking! Guess what else? No more black wheels. Guess what else? Ceramic pads cost more than semi-metallic pads. Which means they just stuck on the cheapest stuff they could find. The verdict: They failed, or refused, to use the quality parts I requested. When called on it, they lied about it, and by default refused to correct their mistake. Thomas Exxon has got their last dollar from me. This place is incompetent, dishonest and can't be trusted. read more

I've been doing business here for at least 20 years. I love being able to drop my car off and then walk across the street for breakfast. On my most recent visit I needed a new battery and when I dropped my car off I mentioned that I was leaving the next week to drive to Virginia and wanted a reliable battery. I just never have but they seem like descent people even though I have never met them. They just leave you alone if you are there for self service which is fine by me. read more

After calling about six repairs shops, I found Thomas Exxon was the only shop that would install customer-provided parts. They didn't think twice about installing my parts. My appointment was at 8:00am on April 14, 2016. I dropped the car off at 8:00am to have them install motor mounts and a crankshaft position sensor on my 2002 Trailblazer LT. By 11:00am the work was complete. They did a great job. The lady who makes the appointments was one of the most polite people I've met in a long time. The mechanic who worked on my car spoke with me about the repair before beginning the work and after the work was complete. Using Thomas Exxon reminded me of the 1960's when customer service and proficiency counted. I've found a new home with Thomas Exxon. I rated 1 star because the option of NO STARS wasn't available. In another review, she said every time she went for inspection they sold her windshield wipers [she didn't need]. That is exactly what happened to me! Every time I took it for inspection, seemed I always had to "buy" something. Keep that in mind when you are told your car won't inspect without fluids/windshield wipers/fill-in-the-blank that they are happy to tack on to your bill. These things happened to me; the facts are indisputable. I was told I needed an oil change (VERY expensive on a BMW, at least at Thomas Exxon it is!). I asked them to show me how low the oil was and was told they would have to "take the engine apart." REALLY?!? Am I a female wearing a T-shirt that says "Gullible AND Stupid" on it? I drove the car 2 more yrs. before getting an oil change. They told my neighbor he needed $1,200 worth of work; a 2nd opinion said he did not. I had the rear electric window "locked" shut and was charged $180. When I had the other rear window locked at another place, I was charged only $50. If you don't mind being lied to, overcharged and sold things you don't need, by all means keep patronizing Thomas Exxon. As for me, I'll drive the extra 2 miles down Alameda to Mathis Exxon. read more

If they can't find anything "wrong" with your car when it is inspected they tell you you need new windshield wipers. They now have done this the last three years in a row. Complete racket. Wouldn't be a big deal if we had more money but we don't. So, remember to keep a pair in your trunk if you decide to go here for inspection. read more

I did write a review previously, but there was no effort by the owner to rectify the situation. Without a rehash, I will address my complaint. The work that Thomas Exxon did on my car was subpar to began with. All work is done at the owner's convenience, and it doesn't matter what the customer wants. I was charged a high price for work that did not hold up, and Thomas Exxon was not interested in correcting the problem. Remember, all auto parts cost more at service stations than regular auto repair shops, which include labor costs as well. Therefore, customers should take the time to shop around. Because of my experience, I cannot recommend Thomas Exxon to anyone. read more
