Nick came highly recommended to me by a good friend who has used him for years. I came in with 3 points of damage on my brand new car (a series of unfortunate events), and with a lot of apprehension about whether I should go through insurance, and about whether or not my car would be 100% back to normal. My friend told me just go see Nick, he will shoot you straight and give you a fair deal. He and his son were friendly and very professional. By the end of my consultation I knew he was the guy for the job. For all the right reasons we decided it was best to go out of pocket and I was 100% surprised and delighted with the price he gave me for parts and labor. Got in a small fender bender. Took vehicle to Nick. Nick was very informative throughout the entire process and helped me get claim started with insurance. Vehicle was completed in a timely fashion and with high quality workmanship (I am very picky). I was even dropped off to get rental car and truck delivered to me after completion. I took my Escape in for some corrosion work on the roof and received it back with an inoperable window. I stopped by today to show the owner and he told me it was broke when I brought it in. Which is not true. It's obvious that the toggle to open the sky roof is not connected to anything, there is no resistance what so ever. I showed one of his workers when I was waiting for the owner to arrive...and he said it didn't look like it was connected. My mistake was calling the number on the card and telling him why I was at his business...He arrived and never even looked at it, just walked up to my car and told me sorry... He stated his son said it was broken when he started working on it, that water must have gotten in and froze it up. The inside of my car smells like mildew now, with greasy finger prints all over the inside roof of my car. How can I prove the window worked? Bottom line is...I can't and he knows it. Should not have paid him cash. $400. Very poor work ethics and a horrible business. Lesson learned...trying to support local business is too risky for me. That's my experience with this read more
