Needed to remove my nose piercing and place a retainer in for a short term. Eddie (if I spelled that correctly) was great about the whole process. Chill, kept it real, down to earth. Made convo during the entire 5 minute process to remove and then eventual 5 minute process next day to put it back. Just one time fee for both removal and replacement in (just pay cost of retainer). visited again to get my second helix and an additional lobe, my bf got his lobe as well. quick and painless. they let me reuse my previous jewelry for a cleaning fee of $10 which i was very happy about. Ed was very personable, telling me about his dog and dreams of a tom and jerry antique collection, and took a ton of time to thoroughly explain each step of the process. i let him know that i would like to wear hoops once my helix healed and he pivoted to a different placement to accommodate this. i also showed him the types of earrings i typically wear on my first lobes-- one with larger posts-- and he walked me through different placement options to accommodate that as well. it was about 6pm on a sunday and i never felt rushed. my first helix is about a year healed and i haven't had any problems whatsoever. will definitely have a third visit here to start on my right ear. see you in 6 to 9 months, prix!! read more

I will be reviewing the customer service since it was so bad I walked out without getting pierced at all. First, I called before arriving to ask about the price of piercing two ear lobes + service fee. They gave me a price of a $15 service fee and then the price of the jewelry which starts at $30. So I'm assuming my total will be around $75. When I arrive, they tell me it's a $15 service charge per ear, instead of $15 for both. I was a bit iffy because this is why I called - to verify prices. But I brushed it off as a miscommunication and proceeded to fill out paperwork for the piercings. The first girl who helped me had red hair and a septum piercing. She was friendly at first but as we made small talk I told her I had just bought new jewelry to wear with my new piercings. She asked me to show her and gladly I did. Upon showing her, she started giving me unwarranted opinions about how she would've rather chosen something else. I concluded this was pretty unprofessional of her but I still gave her the benefit of the doubt and took her opinion with a grain of salt. The cherry on top of bad customer service is the girl worker with glasses and blue-ish hair (I believe this an accurate description but I can't remember exactly but she was working at the same time as the red hair girl). I was switching my earring out in the lobby and she runs up to me with a small bag and just holds it up. I was confused because I had no idea what she wanted since she came up to me so abruptly. She then curtly says "Put the earring in the bag now." I was like "Oh okay.." and put it in the bag. She then proceeds to talk in a demeaning tone about contamination when my hands touch doors or something. After her lecture she turns her back and storms away. At that point I realized I wasn't supposed to be changing my jewelry in the shop which I agree is my fault since I wasn't aware that was a rule. But the way the worker approached me and talked to me was probably the most unprofessional tone I have experienced in a while. She could have came over nicely, explained how changing jewelry isn't allowed in the shop, and then say thank you for following the rules. I personally work in customer service and the way these workers operate is just very unprofessional. At that point I was so put off by all my interactions that I just left without piercing. Management should go review with their workers how to properly speak over the phone, greet customers, and treat customers with politeness. I'm sure the piercing is great but too bad I couldn't experience it. I still wanted to get my piercing so I called around the area. Take your business to My Tattoo in Alhambra. My piercer Tanna was delightful and very knowledgeable about her craft. She did a fantastic job on my daith piercing and was kind enough to remove the jewelry from the daith piercing I had in my other ear that had been done completely incorrectly by a different piercing studio. We were all set up to pierce my septum at the same time, but when Tanna discovered that I was on a high dose of ibuprofen (prevents blood clotting) and had recently had major surgery, she recommended that I wait for that piercing until my body had more time to heal. I was in need of getting my tragus jewelry switched out because the last piercer at a different location caused trauma to my ear and they put jewelry that was way smaller than it should be. I found this place based off reviews and how close it was to my current location. The lady in the front has such a nasty attitude and she just kept staring at me while I was in pain. I even said "awkward" out loud and she kept rolling her eyes. She asked me to put tip on a jewelry switch that was 44.00 already. The piercer was initially nice, however, when I screamed in pain because I was already so swollen when she missed the clamps on my ear, she said "GIRL" in a rude and condescending way. She mentioned how we don't charge for a jewelry switch multiple times and I'm like ok I get it. I'm already paying 44.00 for ugly jewelry anyway. These places need to do better. Aside from their horrible attitude and service, the room is small and feels claustrophobic. It reminds me of a tiny mental asylum room and it's pretty scary. If people are giving you their hard earn money and trust you, don't make them feel stupid for when you mess up. Have better customer service and don't hire people that look miserable and don't want to be there. That front desk girl really hates life and hates customers. I popped my newly pierced nostril stud out and had to slip a regular earring in until I could replace the stud a few hours later. I called Prix and they said to come on down. Quick, easy piercing in downtown Pasadena. They take walk-ins for piercings so the wait time definitely depends on what time you go. They have you pick your piercing with the front-desk person and then the piercer takes you to the back, which looks kind of like a kid's doctor's office. I was a little worried at first because the front-desk person touched the earrings I picked with her bare hands, but I haven't gotten an infection so I think it's fine. The piercing itself is $25 but then you have to pay for each stud/hoop itself so it kind of adds up. I got the normal lobe piercing and it ended up being around $90 with studs on the cheaper end of the options. read more
