Sam is what went well! He is an old school jeweler and business person in the best ways. He was friendly, helpful, and knows his stuff. He fixed my watch, replaced the battery and cleaned the leather for an absolutely reasonable price. He went way above and beyond and I will use him next time too. What a pleasureable experience. read more

They are very knowledgeable and honest. Upfront if they can, or can't fix your jewelry. I had them fix a gold piece years ago and they did an excellent job. I brought in a few silver pieces recently. He took the time to check them and told me up front he couldn't fix them and the diamonds could get damaged. I respect the honesty and he isn't just trying to make an easy buck. Very friendly and helpful. read more

My go to spot! Sam repaired my bracelet in minutes and I was in and out!! Extremely affordable. Also so kind. Thank you!

Short Review: Great service from an indie business owner. Long Review: I wanted to go back "old school" and wear non-fitness tracking watches again so I took 5 old watches in to Jewels to get batteries replaced. Sam was great and when I brought in the watches (one of them 40 years old), he took really good care of each of them. If you're looking for the "friendly neighborhood" place to get your watches repaired, look no further. read more

I was looking around at local jewelry shops to have a custom engagement ring made and was finding the process very stressful and full of information that contradicted itself. After visiting half a dozen other jewelry shops I walked into Jewels on Lake and I knew that I was in the right hands, and that this is the man who I want to design and make my ring. From the moment I walked in, Sam made me feel at home, he was very confident, professional, and completely transparent about his process from start to finish. I visited his shop five times with questions before I finally gave the go ahead to proceed with a ring design and never once did he make me feel like a burden or that I was wasting his time. The ring that he made was beautiful and my partner loved it. I could not recommend Sam enough and I wish that I went to him first when I began my journey in finding an engagement ring. read more

I just want to say how happy I am with these guys at Jewels on Lake, for their great customer service. I had just bought a new Apple Watch with a band from Solace and was trying to size it at home but I ran into a few problems. The next day I found Jewels On Lake right next to Trader Joe's and Macys, I brought my watch and watch band in and five minutes later I was out the door with my new watchband sized and ready to go. I can't thank these guys enough. Thank you again. read more

I've come to Jewels on Lake several times over the years for minor jewelry repair, or to get some old inherited jewelry off my hands, and have always been pleased by Mr. Babikian's excellent and quick service. We live close by, so it's very convenient, but if/when we move out of the area I will happily still return. read more

Sam was awesome and helped adjust my watch for me! I got a new casio nothing crazy and he even showed me how to adjust the sizing on my own. Super nice! Great service read more

Wow! Amazing jewelry repair shop. The owners are the nicest! Give your business to this shop

Jewels on Lake was recommended by a friend of mine. I wanted to get a necklace for my wife's Christmas present. I went to visit Sam, I explained what I needed and he said to give him a couple days for a proof. By the end of the next day he texted a proof of the design. Already I loved the design. I gave him the go ahead to finish the work. Within a week he called me back letting me know the necklace is ready to be picked up. The necklace was so simple to do. But the quality of the design was absolutely gorgeous. I'm very happy with his product and most importantly Sam's customer service. Thank you Sam for the wonderful artwork. read more

I bought a diamond necklace from tjmaxx & wanted to see if the chain and diamonds were real. I also was wondering if my other diamond items were real. I called first thing Saturday morning & the man on the line said I could come in to get all checked out. I parked nearby in the structure. The man buzzed me in quickly. He was kind enough to check all 3 items for me without a cost to me! He also gave me tips for next time to check a gold chain etc. I am super appreciate. He was very nice, and he said I am always welcome to come back to check jewelry, get things repaired, get items made! Thanks so much :) read more

I was impressed with the fast turn around and reasonable price for a new watch battery. Appreciate your help!

Writing this review in regards to the staff that work here. I haven't purchased anything here quite yet but I still wanted to write a review. Local business that recently got robbed and I feel terrible because they are such nice people. It was a busy day when I stopped in but I needed to get my fiancé's engagement ring cleaned before I proposed. They were so nice and cleaned it right away. They let me sit with them and we chatted for a bit. Then when it came down to pay they didn't charge me and said good luck. I really thought it was nice and maybe it was because I was local or just got lucky but they were really nice. read more

Just wanted to say Sam the owner is amazing. I thought I had cracked my sapphire ring and was heartbroken and he did his magic and the ring looks like new. He also helped by putting a stone that had fallen out of a necklace. I highly recommend this place. He has beautiful jewelry and really cares about his customers. read more

I was very pleased with the service I received today. I had larger lobster clasps added to my silver and gold chains. The gentleman that did it told me that he had been in the jewelry business for 48 years. It shows. Linda read more

I recently brought in a pair of my grandma's earrings to be cleaned. She passed away, and I was hoping to wear them for my engagement photo shoot. The jeweler Sam was incredibly kind, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. He treated the earrings with so much care and respect, which meant the world to me. They looked absolutely beautiful--like new, but still full of sentimental value. I'm so grateful for the wonderful service and would highly recommend Jewels on Lake to anyone looking for someone who truly cares about their work and their customers. read more

Before going into the review, I would like to provide some background about myself, which will give context to how my experience went. I'm a person who has NEVER bought jewelry myself (let alone an engagement ring). I was completely clueless of the process of picking out items, designing, or even ordering a piece. At the time, I didn't know much about the difference between metal types, color differences, or overall diamonds. Sam, the owner, however, made the entire process so seamless and easy (even for a guy who never bought jewelry before). From the very beginning, Sam never rushed me and always took the time to answer all my endless questions. We went from looking at numerous diamonds, holding them for me to view them in person, picking the right one out, to designing the ring. During this time, I was traveling out of town frequently, and Sam had to hold diamonds until I was back in town, which was never a problem. I also asked Sam if I was able to view the ring during the different stages of the build process, and he didn't even hesitate when he said I could. I asked endless questions about the build process and even suggested we change some design features of the ring. Even after design changes, Sam was always easy and attentive to details. During the process, Sam gave me estimated timeline dates and always beat them. The ring turned out amazing and my now fiancee loves it! She said it exceeded her expectation of what her ring would look like! I would highly encourage anyone to give Sam a visit if they are thinking about buying jewelry, especially an engagement ring. Now, my friends are coming to me with some questions about diamonds and ring builds and it's all thanks to Sam and Jewels on Lake. read more

My fiancé thought he lost his wedding ring...well, kinda, sorta. He had it in his lap while sitting in the car and stood up. That was a Friday. On Monday, he was back at work and walked out to greet a co-worker who had just backed in to a parking space. He looked down and saw what was left of his ring, which was no longer round, cracked in the back and missing a diamond. The jewelry store where we purchased it was non-responsive about the repair - tried emailing the repair department twice and their customer service person who was copied said to call them bc they are busy. Well if they are too busy to look at a picture on an email and tell me if it's fixable, how are they going to have time to fix it?! Hmmm? The wedding was in 21 days! Sam to the rescue! I sent him an online Request For Quote and he responded almost immediately! I took the ring in, he gave me his diagnosis and fee. Although he thought it was only repairable to the high 80s, he was able to get it back to about 98% - it was miraculous! My fiancé was even surprised about how great it looked and felt. He said that he couldn't tell anything ever happened to it. Sam also fixed the ring in record time and had it back to us - he even offered to stay late to accommodate us if we could not get there during normal hours. Thank-you, Sam, for your artistry and expertise to bring the ring back to being a ring!!! read more

I stopped by Jewels on Lake because I had a bunch of charms with open/weak jump rings that needed replacing and had some questions about other jewelry pieces I had. Sam straightened out the jump rings that were still in working order so that they were secure and added a bigger jump ring to one of the charms. He did not want to let me pay him for his time as he insisted the fixes were simple but I finally convinced him to let me pay him for the gold jump ring he added to one of my charms because he spent a good amount of time helping me with everything. I will definitely return to have him shorten a necklace I have that is too long. :) read more

Wow. Sam is a literal gem. I stopped by today with two small but very annoying issues with two of my favorite pieces: a pearl earring that had popped out of its backing, and a knot in a beloved necklace that no amount of work on my part could undo. In 5 minutes he'd fixed everything perfectly and sent me on my way without charging a cent. He'll be my go-to for any jewelry repair needs in the future -- such a stand-up person and professional. Thank you, Sam! read more

My husband and I visited Jewels on Lake several times for watch repairs and battery replacements, and Sam was always so welcoming and friendly. So, when I needed a custom ring made, I immediately chose Sam for the job. I had an old star sapphire ring, that never quite fit right; it lived in my jewelry box. Recently, my mom passed her star sapphire earrings down to me. I asked Sam if he could take the stones from the earrings, and the stone from my ring, and make me a custom ring. He guaranteed me he would make me a beautiful ring. He even offered to ship it to my new home, since we were moving out of the area. The ring took quite a journey with USPS, but Sam took the time to track it, stay in touch with the postal service, and keep me updated the whole time. The ring arrived today, and it is even more lovely than I imagined it would be. It fits perfectly, too! My Mom is thrilled that I was able to repurpose her earrings, and give them new life. I couldn't be happier, and I HIGHLY recommend Jewels on Lake for ALL of your jewelry needs! read more

Sam is a very nice man and a terrific jeweler. He fixed my broken bead necklace -- and added knots so that my granddaughter won't lose all the beads if she breaks it -- and replaced some broken fasteners with strong magnets, so I don't have to fuss with tiny clips. I'm very pleased with the results and will definitely use Jewels on Lake whenever I can. read more

We just recently have a custom made earrings from this store, owner is very nice and helpful, he knows what we want without our instructions. The custom workmanship is good, they can made exactly the same size and quality of the diamonds to match my pendant. Price is so reasonable. I have been looking and compared with so many store. Also they have lots of good designs fashionable diamonds jewelry , you can't walk out the store without buying one. This store is worthy of our trust read more

These guys are so nice! I needed a ring repaired that holds no value except sentimental. Essentially the stone needed to be glued back in place. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and refused to take any payment, saying they don't charge for gluing! I highly recommend this lovely store and I'll definitely be going back for any future jewellery repair needs. read more

Sam is awesome!! I got a watch battery replacement but I met Sam and now I'll be returning there from now on!

Mr. Babikian was more than helpful with my cross charm that wouldn't fit my chain. Sam was thorough and insightful with his explanation as to why certain procedures could damage my property. He didn't say he couldn't perform the task but rather explained what the cost would incur if he were to damage it. It was my decision to make as to whether or not proceed, knowing this and his knowledge of handling jewels ascertain that Sam was the right person for the job. Much to my delight and comfort Sam executed his craft to perfection. Needless to say I'm more than pleased. read more

Sam first and foremost makes beautiful jewelry and can make you whatever you want. Check out his book of pieces that he has created for other clients. They are exquisite. I'm so thankful to have found Sam! Not only was he honest about the repairs needed on my engagement ring but he took the time to educate me. Ultimately I decided to pay to have my ring repaired with Sam rather than the original Jewler who made the ring even though it's still under warranty with them. The price was very fair, and my repair was done much quicker than Sam originally stated! All around extremely happy! read more

When a small side diamond fell out of my engagement ring - a family piece - three days after I got it, I needed to find a jeweler who was trustworthy and knowledgeable to fix it. Thanks to the great reviews on Yelp, I found Sam and his shop. Thank goodness! We talked a bit first by phone, and then I came to the shop with my ring. He knew just what to do, and explained what would happen and how he came to the estimate (which was extremely fair). It made me feel comfortable knowing I'd found someone close by who I could come to in the future if I need other repairs or cleanings. In addition to doing quality work, Sam was also very kind - which means a lot in a business where you're dealing with intimate and emotionally important objects. He knew I'd only just gotten engaged and he made sure to turn the work around surprisingly fast -- all so I could get it back on my finger and get back to celebrating with my fiancé and our friends this week as we tell people the good news. Thank you, Sam! I'll be singing your praises to everyone I know, and I'll be back in your shop for all future work. read more

Went in to get my ring sized, and one of the gentleman behind the counter was very short and rude, and told me that my ring in fact was not real gold, and that he could not adjust it, he told me that I have a fake ring, or that is most likely silver and gold plated, which is quite an insult considering a Family jeweler made it and I know exactly what it's made of. He didn't even test the metal. He just glared at it quickly and rejected me. Then as I was asking him questions, he proceeded to answer the ringing phone and start talking with whoever was on the other end, laughing and carrying on. The gentleman next to him just stared at me. The whole time didn't get up out of his chair. I politely laughed and said it sounds like your phone conversation is much more important than your paying customer that is in your store. I do not recommend trusting these unprofessional people with your precious heirlooms. Go to prestige on Colorado. read more
