I found Private Exterminating from a referral from my uncle. He used them for a job in one of their condominium buildings. I called them up and left a voicemail and was able to schedule an inspection date fairly quickly and easily. Inspection happened and we found out we have a termite problem in our sunroom. Luckily it looks contained in that room and didnt make it into the actual home. The inspection cost was $150 and that goes back into the total cost of the job if we choose to go with them, which we did. Tomas and Eddie came back to work on the job. They are both really nice guys and knowledgeable. Due to the snow storms, I had to reschedule to 12/26 the day after Christmas. The total job was roughly $1600 which they base off of the size of the home and scale of the job. I think it's a little expensive but with some research I did online, it's competitive to other rates Ive seen. They offered consultation of what the issue was and possible causes for the termites as well as the treatment which included drilling holes outside the home into the ground. The holes were about 3 ft deep and spaced about 3 feet apart from each other. In the holes they filled in the chemicals to kill and block out termites. They also sprayed the sunroom down with the same chemicals. I would've preferred if they ripped down the floors and walls to see how bad the situation was or how far the termites got. They seem confident that it was minimal and only on one side of the room though. The work was done in about 3.5 hours and they did the front and back of the house. They also did my neighbors house at the same time. They wanted to do it as prevention. Overall, pretty satisfied with these guys. Ive worked with other pest control or exterminators before and these guys were the most responsive and friendly out of every one. I cant be sure that the treatment works yet, but they provide some warranty period and I can call them back in case I see termites again in the summer. Highly recommend giving these guys a call. Moved into an apartment with a flea problem in October. Had, multiple local exterminators in here as well as larger companies such as Orkin (do not recommend) and Finally, after 5 MONTHS. Eddie was willing to actually put in the work to figure out and solve the problem. I had an opossum living under my floor and bringing up thousands of fleas. Eddie was awsome as a pest control exterminator. He listened to all of my concerns then investigated and found what my issues were and then found that my issue was coming from my neighbors home which he then took the time to explain to my neighbor that the issues were coming from his home and needed to be corrected immediately or would become worse for both homes.. Update 10/15/2019: Eddie got back to me. I was told that sometimes the day is pretty brutal and that the expectation is to try to reach him a few times. If he's underground, there might be no signal. I did that and I got through. I had to call him back using the insurance I purchased because I had a residual problem with mice inside the ceiling. I would say that this is probably an atypical case, still. I had to cut a hole for his staff to return and do their extermination magic. I trust the associate's judgement not to go 'nuclear' with the tracking powder. We'll see how this goes. While here for the visit, the associate was very prudent to bait for roaches again. Eddie! What an amazing, incredible exterminator and person! I had a squirrel in my house and called Eddie very anxious and concerned. The squirrel had not only gotten under my roof and into my house, but was spotted running on the rafters of my basement. It had been stuck in my house for over a week, and I was very concerned that it had had babies in the house, and either the squirrel and/or the babies were going to die in the house and attract bigger problems such as bugs, etc. In comes Eddie on his proverbial chariot, a knight in exterminating shiny armor. I called 15+ exterminators to discuss my problem and possible solutions, as well as to get a quote. Eddie was the fairest quote, the most knowledgeable about the newest methods of trapping and handling the problem, and quickest response time. Also, he was the most humane - speaking at length about the simple efforts we could undertake to try to save the squirrel's life, but ensure that we got it out of my house at the best cost and most effectively (and alive!). I hired Gus. He showed up the same day, punctually for the appointment we scheduled. He immediately surveyed the entire house, both outside and inside. He spotted signs of the squirrel's activity that I had not noticed in several days of trying to follow the squirrel. He then explained everything to me, and what he thought the best measures would be to try to lay the trap, set up the secondary traps, and set the best possible course of action. It all made perfect sense to me, and was explained in laymen's terms for me to understand WHY he was taking each specific tactic. Further, Gus knew I had a dog and in his preventative steps of surveying my entire basement he found hidden rat poison from the prior owners who sold the house to me. Because he was concerned for the well-being of my beloved dog, he went out of his way to gather all the rat poison packets as well as scoop up the torn rat packet the squirrel had nibbled, and dog-proof my basement to protect my dog. Amazing!! Gus laid an amazing trap, with peanuts and all kinds of little tricks to bolster his efforts. In the end, I came downstairs the next morning to check and, lo and behold, master exterminator, trapper, gentleman Mister Eddie had managed to catch the squirrel!! I called Eddie to let him know, and he was at my house in a couple of hours to pick up the trap, set the squirrel free, and clean up all the areas he laid the traps. Eddie even called me the next day, and again the next week to see if I had heard any squirrel babies or any other similar noises in the walls again or had seen any other signs of further squirrel life in the house. Thankfully I hadn't, and (fingers crossed) still haven't, and it is ALL BECAUSE OF EDDY AND HOW AMAZING HE WAS. I never leave reviews, but felt I needed to because Eddie went WAY above and beyond to complete the job, take really good care of me and my family, and I cannot recommend his services any more highly. I chose this business because of the glowing reviews I read concerning Eddie and how well he handled other similar rodent problems. Initially, he was very responsive and called back immediately to set up an appointment. He came the same day which I was super impressed by and put down powder promising to return in a week to plug up holes. Though I wanted the holes plugged up immediately, he insisted this was the best method as the mice would poison its "friends" with the powder. A week later, getting in contact with Eddie was not as easy as the first time and though he promised he would return to plug up the holes, Someone else showed up in his place (which is fine but wasn't communicated to me). The man plugged up the holes and all was well for exactly two week, then the mice returned. I purchased the 90 plan, and though getting back in contact with Eddie initially was difficult (he happened to be on vacation), once I got in contact with him he came back to look for more holes. He could not find any and told me if the problem persisted, he would rerun with rat poison and expanding foam to address small cracks. The problem persisted and he followed through with a third visit. Though I wish he would have done the foam and poison on the second visit, he was thorough nonetheless and even offered to come back out and try something else if there is another sighting. I like their service, they make you feel like your concern is priority. They are very detail tell you what to watch out for.
