I wish I hadn't done business with them. They came to take down a very large tree in my backyard and did that pretty good. Getting the stump removed, on the hand, turned into a nightmare. They seem to be incapable of returning a phone call. Spoke with three different people including the owner and you're only speaking to them if they answer the call. They strung me along saying they could remove the stump until finally speaking with Frank hours after they said they would be here to remove it and he stated they couldn't do it. Mind you, he was here just a day ago standing on the stump and measuring it with his feet, saying "no problem, we'll be here tomorrow to grind it down". Be very wary of doing business with a contractor that works out of a PO box. I learned a very expensive lesson and will not pay a contractor in the future until the work is complete. Frank was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive to our needs. We received our free estimate and scheduled our date for a tree to be pruned. However, weather dictated that it had to be done another day. When the new day came, there was a lot of confusion regarding city permits that did not occur the first time around. More weather problems occurred and it seemed like it would never be done. I sincerely thought they had forgotten about us. But that wasn't the case. When it finally occurred, their guy (don't know his name) climbed the tree with ropes and pruned the tree like a pro. My mother and neighbors took video because they were so impressed with his skill and how good the tree actually looks now. I actually mentioned that there was one branch left that concerned me and he said that they would take care of it. Well, the branch is gone, but I never saw them again. read more

I called 4 companies for quotes, Garden Tree Service was the one if felt most comfortable with, they regularly followed up with me and promptly returned all phone call and answered all e-mails. I have had other major tree jobs done in my house throughout the years and I was most please with Garden Tree. The crew of 6 that came to my house were professional, friendly and made sure I was pleased with not just the job but also the cleanup, they had to access my neighbor's yard to do the job and they asked me and the neighbor to make sure everything was clean and back in place before they left. Frank & his team were amazing. Pruned a Japanese maple in my front yard & removed a significant branch overhanging my neighbors yard & a lot of dead tree of a Norway maple in my backyard. Start to finish 2 hours including a meticulous clean up. Definitely will get a few more years out of a declining tree that provides alot of shade to my yard. Frank arrived on time to go thru with me the 7 trees that were to be trimmed . I called him back the following week to go over and add more limbs. we arranged a time to have his men/crew do the work. From beginning to end professional, came to survey, quoted and delivered exactly and even more than what we expected.
