If he wanted to stop working for me he should have called so we could arrange interim lawn care instead of leaving us looking like an abandoned house. Awful people skills.

My back yard is a complete disaster since he hasn't been back in over a month and won't return my calls/emails/texts. The few trees that he planted are all dead. He busted up my new fence when cutting down a tree that he wasn't supposed to cut down, there's another $1,600 to fix. See pics for before and current. My backyard wasn't even all that bad before, now I'm out $28k with nothing to show for it but a ruined muddy/overgrown back yard. A bike carrier hitch failed on my vehicle while I was driving at highway speed. The carrier and bikes came off, landed upright, and spun around in the roadway. This could have caused a major accident. Jose, who happened to be nearby, avoided hitting it, stopped traffic, and took control of the situation. He carried the hitch and bikes to the side of the highway and then helped me safely navigate backing down the shoulder so I could retrieve everything. He had absolutely nothing to gain by helping me. In fact, he put himself at risk to protect other drivers and help a complete stranger. I tried to give him $50 as a thank-you, and he refused to accept it. All he asked was that I leave his business a good Google review and refer customers to him. Jose is a prince. Honest, brave, calm, and decent. This could have had a much worse outcome, and we were very lucky he was there. Based on his character alone, I would trust him and his business completely. We agreed as a favor to be nice and they also said they would leave us some left over wood. We removed our cars and they were parked there using our driveway and worked throughout the morning and afternoon. While they were here they broke some of the concrete on our driveway, broke retaining wood from the garden area and left one of our collection of bricks in a messy pile. We have tried to call multiple times and contact the company and they hung up on us and will not pick up anymore. I do not recommend anyone work with a company that is so careless and doesn't take responsibility for their actions. The worst part is this tree removal service had nothing to do with us, we were just being helpful to allow them to use our backyard and driveway. And this was the result.
