I needed a bathtub and tile refinished, and found Pristine Coating via Yelp. I'd had my tub refinished years ago via one of the chain companies who offer this service, and wasn't thrilled with the work they provided. After reading through reviews, I liked the fact that this business seemed like an owner operated entity, and contacted them through the Yelp "get a quote" function. Chan got back to me very quickly, passed along a very reasonable quote, and set up a date + time for the work to be performed. Very efficient and easy. Chan's brother Sou performed the initial work (really nice, polite guy btw), and Chan and his wife came back to clean up + caulk everything. I'll post a pic if I get a chance, but it came out fantastic and the tub + tile look like new. These folks obviously care about what they do, and if you need similar services (they also do cabinet spraying / painting) I very much recommend reaching out to them for a quote. read more

I messaged Pristine Coating over Yelp for a quote and received a quick response. They were also very patient and prompt in answering my million follow up questions. I reached out to several other refinishing businesses and can confidently say their pricing is very competitive. The day of the appointment they came on time and finished up the work in the quoted amount of time. They followed up the next day for some minor touch ups and when they came back I noticed the chemicals used for the refinishing removed some of the brass finish on the drain. When dealing with harsh chemicals + water accidents like this can easily happen. They were super apologetic and offered to buy a new drain replacement and install it themselves. They quickly ordered the replacement and came back shortly after it was delivered to install. The technician arrived on time and was friendly. After he spent over an hour scraping the damaged finish on my tub, he told me that he didn't think refinishing would work and he explained why. When I asked him what the charges would be for the work he did, he told me no charge! (I insisted on paying for his time because he came all the way to my house and worked for an hour.) My initial experience with them was around 4 stars, but then they fixed issues I had so I bump it up to 5. Basically I had them refinish my bathtub, but the first guy they sent didn't seem very experienced and made some mistakes that required many visits and a long time to finish. Also they didn't have the right color paint in stock which is partly why it took so long. However half a year later, I noticed lots of scratches on the paint from regular usage of the tub, which didn't seem normal since usually the refinish should last a long time. So I asked them to take a look, and to my surprise they redid the entire thing again, this time with a much more experienced guy who got it done all in one shot. I was very happy with his results and so far the new paint has been much more durable than the old one. So I feel like these guys deserve their 5 stars because even if there is a problem they will take care of it and make it right. read more

Our four year old fiberglass tub developed a hairline crack. We dreaded the thought of needing the replace it (the entire bathroom was redone 4 years ago). Pristine coating responded to our request super promptly, offered us the best price and did a great job (something needed to be addressed after the initial repair and they did it w/o any questions) Please know that the process emits quite a bit of super unpleasant chemicals smell, it took me a bit by surprised and we need to escape form the house w/ out two little kiddos. All three were done with the top quality material and no one can say that bath tubs are like more than 20 years old. I have multiple properties in bay area, and in past I got bath tub reglazing done. First of all, the other guys who are in the market are very-very expensive. Chen is very reasonable. Don't even bother to look around as I have done lot of research and was not able to find anyone who would even come close to the price Chen quoted me. I was not sure if I am making the right call by calling Chen to work on three of my bath tubs, as on yelp he had only 7 reviews, but now I feel I selected the best option available in the market.
