I just finished my bathroom remodel and felt Pristine Coating really deserved and review as there has been absolutely no issues with the refinishing job at all. Now that I've got a new white bathtub installed, you literally cannot tell the difference other than that the new tub has some traction whereas the refinished tub was a little more slippery. The floor tiles have kept in reasonably good shape as well. There are some normal wear and tear from dropping things and foot traffic (adults only, no kids or pets). Originally I was not going to remodel until at least the warranty was up, and I'm sure the job would have held up just fine for another 1.5 years, but due to other circumstances I've pushed up the remodel timeline. I had two unsightly problems in my house, and Pristine Coatings solved my problems! I'm so happy with their work, and I wholeheartedly recommend them if you are looking for someone to come reglaze your bathroom. First, there was a small bathroom sink -- the original from when the house was built in the mid-1950s. It had been reglazed about 10 years ago by a different company, but a rust spot had worn through. Replacing the vanity and sink would have been very expensive and would have entailed a costly and involved bathroom remodel that I didn't want to do. Pristine Coatings re-glazed the sink for me, paying special attention to that rust spot. The sink now looks fabulous and I couldn't be happier with it! Secondly, I had a Formica stall shower on my second floor that was installed in the late 1960s. It looked awful and the door leaked when you showered. Again, I didn't want to do a full remodel of that bathroom. Pristine Coatings took off the old glass shower surround and door, sanded everything down and cleaned it, then applied their magic coating (including a non-slip coating on the floor of the shower at my request for about $30 dollars extra). The result was astounding! It looks like a brand new shower stall! After their coating was totally dry, I had South Bay Showers install a brand new beautiful glass surround and shower door. The shower now looks fabulous and is no longer a huge embarrassment in my home. I was so happy with the way it turned out that I decided to get the flooring re-done. Now that bathroom looks totally fabulous! Chan and Barry took the time to do everything right. They showed up on time, were very polite and quiet, did their work well, and cleaned up very nicely afterward. Chan, Circle and Barry were consummate professionals. These folks are good: polite, friendly, honest, skilled, careful, efficient, and competitively priced. They refinished a bathtub and shower pan for us. It's been months and the finished work is beautiful and holding up. Circle responded immediately to my request for an estimate. She was friendly and immediately impressed me with her knowledge and honesty. We were scheduled promptly. Chan, Barry and Circle took great care to cover and protect surfaces in our home. They did not damage any walls, tiles or flooring. They protected faucets, drains and bathtub handles. Barry meticulously prepared our tub and shower pan surfaces so that they would bond well with the new finish. Once the surfaces were prepared. Barry, Chan and Circle, applied the layers of coating. Leaving sufficient time to air dry in between. The end result did not disappoint. We had initially considered replacing our bathtub and shower pan. Not only was refinishing much more time and cost effective, but because Pristine Coating had us very organized and prepared up front, the whole process went smoothly. For those unfamiliar with the refinishing process, as the coating dries the smell is very strong. It takes a few days to disperse. Pristine Coating is very up front about this. While working they will need access to an open window (remove the screen) to vent their machines to the exterior. We did not have openable windows in the bathroom, so they needed to vent through the window of the connecting bedroom. We were prepared for this: our carpets were covered and walls protected. Know that whatever exterior items you have beneath said ventilation window should also be covered or moved, just to be sure they don't get little flecks of paint on them. Pristine coating warned us in advance and we accordingly moved our outdoor furniture. A background note: before selecting Pristine Coating we vetted a number of different refinishing businesses. Several other businesses were more costly, clearly less careful, and with estimators who were not respectful of our time. One other company's estimator suggested additional services we didn't need. Another company's estimator told me before he left that he wanted to "manage my expectations" about how smooth the end finish would be. He warned me that there would be large chunks of dust and lumps in the finished surface. I look for quality work. I like businesses that exceed my expectations. Pristine Coating exceeded my expectations. They really go above and beyond. They offer a guarantee on their work and they stand by it. And when they say they go the extra mile for their clients - they really mean it. Shortly after Pristine Coating completed their work for us, another contractor (doing unrelated work in our bathroom) inadvertently damaged our finish. Unlike painting cabinets with store bought paint their acrylic polymer is streets ahead of regular paint, yet you provide them a regular paint sample chip for them to match 100%. The satin finish is smooth, hard and easy to clean. It's also far more durable than ordinary paint. Basically they look brand new and no brush strokes anywhere.
