Jamal is fantastic. He's honest, hard working, super polite, and follows through. His price was fair and he does what he says he will do. The work he did looks great; my bathtub is sparkling! He came to my unit in Oakland 3 times to finish the job. I paid him after the first day and wasn't sure if he was coming the other two days to finish, but he did! The second day he showed up at 7pm to continue the work, at the end of his long work day, to fit a tight deadline I had to finish the bathtub refinishing. Super appreciative of the work he did. read more

What a terrific experience working with Jamal -- his work is of high quality, his communication and team are crisp and professional, and he is a pleasure to work with. Had a tub refinished and as it dries and cures, I wanted to share feedback about an excellent business and local neighbor. JJPE responded to my Yelp! inquiry promptly and were easy to communicate with throughout the process. Jamal and his partner showed up promptly, were easy going while remaining focused on doing a fantastic job. I'd work with Jamal and his crew again and feel confident recommending their refinish business to anyone. Five stars and will certainly call again when I need a tub or a floor refinished. Thanks Jamal!! read more

We got our master bathroom tub repainted because it was in a pretty bad shape and it was kind of embarrassing to have it in that shape. I contacted JJPE after looking around and boy are they responsive. Right from day a Charlotte was very responsive and patient to all my questions and messages. She was kind enough to work with me even after I ghosted out for a month or two due to personal reasons. She scheduled me within 2 days and both the technicians Steven and Jamal were thoroughly professional and friendly at the same time. The job was beautifully done and they stayed true to their time commitment of 2-3 hours. My tub looks super new now and I am even getting my guest bathroom tub repainted now. read more

Very impressed with the quick responses from this company (especially with Charlotte). They sent a quote very quickly and at the best price to refinish the tub and shower surround plus the sink and countertop. I got quotes from 5 different refinishers. (Ultimately, we picked another company only because we got an immediate availability window due to cancellation.) If not for that, we were ready to contract with Charlotte and team. We won't hesitate to contact them in the future knowing how responsive they are and all of the good reviews they've received on Yelp. read more

Jamal and crew were great! Very respectful and considerate of safety during these times and of my home. Jamal returned the next day to make sure everything looked ok and to touch up the grout. The results are fantastic. Check out the before and after pictures. read more

Jamal did great work refinishing our cast iron bathtub. He was professional and very quick. Highly recommend.

Jamal and Jesus did a stellar job on my 1940s bathtub. It had been refinished 20 years ago when we bought the house. There were pits, torn areas, rust stains, and the tub had a dingy cast to it. Embarrassing. After they performed their magic, my tub gleams! The guys communicated well by text, giving me estimates, answering all my questions, and letting me know when they would arrive. And when they arrived, they were masked. They took my payment by Zelle, making everything as easy as possible. So, stellar work, following Covid best practices, and super nice guys. Recommend highly! read more

We had a very old cast iron farm sink that had been used in an outdoor (and neglected) setting for who knows how many years. The sink was in bad shape, but we wanted to use it in a new pool bathroom. I sent our request for 6 different companies, JJPE was the fastest to replay. (some of them didn't replayed yet). Communication was awesome! We were able to schedule the technician the next day which he did a great job and even reduce his cost as he didn't recommend to deglaze the entire tub as we agreed to, highly appreciated the honesty. Will use them again in the future for more projects. read more

Jamal did a wonderful job refinishing our old tub in SF. It took much less time than other companies had quoted (some of them had said we'd have to vacate the house for 8 hours). They also came on a weekend which no other company was able to do. Quality of the work was impeccable, and I can't wait to use our fresh tub. Thank you Jamal! read more

I am very happy with the results. From start to finish JJPE was great to work with. They were very responsive and flexible when I had to reschedule. When the day came to do the work, they provided an ETA of their arrival time and arrived within the window of time they provided. J. put a lot of effort into making sure the tub was properly prepped before he applied the final finish. J even thought to match the color of the tub to the toilet. He used a large fan to vent the fumes and that helped quite a bit. Even when an issue arose not due to anyone's fault, J. was very understanding and didn't get upset. This really impressed me. It possibly could have gone the other way if it had been someone else. I will definitely used JJPE again for my next tub refinishing project. read more

JJPE has now refinished the second shower/tub/tile surround for two of my real estate listing clients and Jamal did a terrific job on both of them. Great guys. Showed up on time, let us know when they were coming. Honest about the repair and how it would come out if we didn't refinish the entire shower pan. Went ahead and had them do the whole job, not just the touch up. I would recommend them and use them again read more

JJPE and Jamal were great to work with. Jamal was extremely professional and responsive through the whole process. Price is right for the quality of work they do. My kitchen sink is as good as new now. They did an amazing job reglazing kitchen sink. Very clean way of working and very reliable people. First let me say what this is not - it is not a brand new, porcelain finish tub. It is a coating, so it feels a little different and when very closely examined, is not perfectly porcelain smooth. But - if you are choosing to not replace your tub, this is a very good, cost-effective option. It looks great and JJPE was very professional and easy to work with. They took about half a day, left no mess, and minimal lingering odor. I discovered a small flaw the next day and they came right back to fix it. They give a five year warranty and a guide for care and cleaning. Highly recommend if your expectations are realistic. read more

Great job Jamal, great response , great finish , I would recommend Jamal to friends and family.

I needed to freshen up and update a rental unit while trying to maintain a budget. Tried JJPE out. I got a quick response. Their guy who came out - Jamal - was very polite and communicated updates well. My bathtub had some minor cracks. He sealed them up and came back a few days after the initial job to touch things up. Definitely brightened up the bathroom at a fraction of the cost of what redoing the tile would have been. What I was looking for. read more

Jamal did a great job. Have now had JJPE do three tubs and tile surrounds for me. He has always been on time. Very pleasant to talk and work with. In one bath there was some minor overspray which Jamal offered to come back and paint out. But the plan had already been to paint after he had finished. So no worries. read more
