2 years ago, I attempted to refinish the deck on my own with my son's help, but it didn't produce the quality I was hoping for; We clearly didn't pressure-wash/sand the deck enough before applying the sealant, and the result was inconsistent at best. It didn't last a year. So I decided to hire Rolando and his crew to start again from scratch. He came over the house for the initial inspection and gave me a competitive quote. His crew arrived on time, and started by throughly stripping the original coating using various methods over two days. Once the deck was prepped, the application of the sealant only took a few hours. The job looked great when first finished. But the stain did not last even 6 months before it began seriously fading and streaking.
