There's a handful of companies on yelp that have both 5 star reviews and a large quantity of reviews ( in the hundreds). It's hard to make a decision, but the one thing that stood out is that unlike the other 2 companies that I considered is that Brett still has a ton of reviews even though he doesn't do paid advertising on yelp. I couldn't be happier with the work that he did! It was easy to coordinate a time with him and he was a laid back nice guy once I met him. He made sure to explain everything to me, ensured that I liked the color before starting, completely masked off the entire area to prevent overspray, and the final product came out flawless. We had Brett come and repair our tub which was in dire need of some attention. He was able to sand down the multiple layers of peeling paint and resurface/reglaze it to a nice cream color. See before, during and after pictures attached. Brett also added in a textured bottom so we wouldn't have to put an ugly anti-slip mat in. I'm updating because Brett is so professional and responsive. I had given a 3 previously, but that's only because in the long run, I would not have a tub refinished with this polymer. I'd probably just get a new tub. Now, instead of bathing in lead-infused water, we're bathing in plastic infused water, and the care required to keep Brett's guarantee in place is truly onerous. There are beautiful tubs out there similar to claw foot tubs that I wish i had replaced our with instead of "fixing." read more

Apparently pink bath-water that repeatedly, magically appears no matter how hard you scrub the tub, is not the work of a slap-happy and well-meaning cherub. It's mold and it's gross. And, I guess you're not supposed to sit around in moldy water and think you're getting clean... or that you're getting your toddler clean (eep). Solution: called Brett right in the middle of holiday season and he was like mmm, hmmm, well, I was just about to go on vacation, but I guess I can come over tomorrow and do it (!) Yes, that's right, he delayed his vacation in order to spend more than half a day making our tub a healthy place to bathe. Final analysis: Brett was super friendly but not off-putting. He worked efficiently and cleaned up well at the end. He gave us strict instructions on how to care for our tub to make the work last a long time.
