The tenants tore it up so bad and it looked so disgusting I didn't even take a before pic of it. So thankful I found Advance refinish! I reached out explaining I needed someone urgently and they fit me in their schedule asap. We easily communicated via text which is very important to me because I'm always on the go juggling dozens of contractors at once so it's so helpful when businesses can communicate in a way that works best for the client. The day of, I got texts of when the technician was on the way which was helpful. He was respectful, worked hours straight and my shower ended up looking brand new and far beyond what I could imagine it to look like. I was incredibly impressed. I do a lot of remodeling projects and I'll no doubt reach out again; they will be my go-to for sure. Highly recommend!

Update November 2024: Following my negative review, Jeff…read morecontacted me. He sent Juan and Leticia, who stripped the bathtub and refinished it. They seemed careful and tidy. It took them 3+ hours. The finish is nice and shiny. I hope it lasts a long time. Our experience with Advanced Bathtub in 2023 was horrible. Technician D***** maybe had ADD focus issues. In any case, he worked fast and loose and skipped preparation steps. He mixed the epoxy paint wrong, probably too much solvent, such that the curing paint pulled up from inside corners, and retracted and split on horizontal countertop surface. Jeff kept sending him back to re-do, and he kept screwing it up. He worked without a ventilation fan. I'm not sure if he was more mental or more stoned from inhaling solvent. The paint is completely peeling up from the bottom of the tub 18 months later. Evidently the tub surface was not roughened enough prior to paint application. I don't know if the tech even cleaned the surfaces, much less roughened them. He painted right over dirt and dust on the tile.

But, you're looking for an interior designer, not a best friend (though, I'm sure, she'd make a great one!). We hired her to help us choose new flooring throughout our house, as well as redecorate our living room. Petra was incredibly perceptive, and was able to design our space to really meet our tastes. When she was finished, we really felt like we were "home." Thank you for the warmth you brought into our home, Petra!

I contacted Jan and she met with me, got a sense of what I liked, and then helped me choose new furniture and decor. She also helped me choose a paint color for an accent wall. She sent me various options for the bigger, harder to return stuff, and had me choose and order those myself. She picked out the smaller stuff herself and we did an install day where I was out of the house for the day and she brought in and perfectly arranged and decorated the place! Coming home to my perfectly decorated new place was like being on an HGTV show! I can be very picky, so part of me expected not to like some of the choices, but NOPE. Everything was PERFECT. I loved it all! She truly captured my style and turned my house into a home! Couldn't recommend more! Bonus: One of the end tables she brought was HANDMADE by her husband! What!!! It's a beautiful oak live edge table that is absolutely gorgeous!

She did what she promised for a competitive price and was easy to work with, what more can you ask?

JL assured me that their experienced installers could remove my granite without any damage to my backsplash. But not only that, their price was the best of all four well known Austin companies. In fact, since I was getting Taj Reale from Stratus I saw that several companies marked up the price for the same slab that they all were getting from the same slab yard. In short, JL Cabinets did a fantastic job. The price was great and the demo and installation were top notch. I highly recommend Keyla and all the crew at JL. Remodel Boutique handled both of our bathroom remodels and they were absolutely amazing. Things…read morethat made them stand out are: excellent communication and project management (we saw our project manager Elizabeth every day and she updated our basecamp log daily with pictures), a fantastic in-house crew that showed up on time, were very tidy and considerate, and had great oversight. I should also note that during the remodel process, we were pretty covid cautious because I was pregnant and everyone wore masks and were super careful around me, which was greatly appreciated. A short anecdote that demonstrates just how detail oriented they are: RB workers installed some light bulbs in our restroom, which we thought were fine. They're light bulbs! But one of the RB co-owners, Domingo, noticed that the bulbs in our bathroom were different temperatures (one was a cool white and the other a warm), he pointed it out to us and then replaced one so both bulbs were warm whites. We've worked with other GC companies in town who promised similar things about communication and attention to detail but failed to deliver. Things go sideways on remodel projects - that's totally expected. What matters is how your contractor helps you recover and figure out a solution to move forward. I always felt that RB was available to help and super transparent with us. RB has scaled their company really well so everything still feels like a very tightly run ship. I would (and have) recommended them to friends and would love to work with them again in the future.

She came to the house while we were still packing and it was full of boxes and clutter. It was really hard to even imagine how we could make it look perfect for appealing to buyers at first sight. Beth's talented designer eyes saw the possibilities in the first 5 minutes. She walked through the house letting us know what furniture and accessories to keep and what to pack away. Then, she recommended a color palette that blended perfectly with the interior of the house and even the outdoor views from our living room windows. On staging day, it was like Beth came in with a magic wand. She showed up with an amazing variety of pillows, accessories, plants, art pieces, lamps, etc. that she started setting throughout the house and transforming every room with a unique touch, yet a unified style. We worked with Suzanna to remodel our master bathroom/closet and guest bathroom in our small house…read morelate last year to create a better use of space when we learned we had a baby on the way. I couldn't have imagined a better experience and nearly one year later, I still love every single detail of our new rooms! We had actually worked with two different designers in the past for our home (a family connection who was based in San Antonio and gave a shot at one of those online services too), but unfortunately had very poor experiences so we were incredibly cautious as we explored who we wanted to work with for an investment like a remodel with a tight timeframe. We filled out a short intake questionnaire and put together a Pinterest board with style ideas and were blown away by how quickly she nailed our design aesthetic and knew exactly what we needed to do with the space. What I love most about Suzanna is that while she's an incredibly talented designer, she also works like an architect and was able to reconfigure a small space for us to maximize every square inch to somehow make our small room feel double to size and meet every functional need. Suzanna works by an hourly rate and I was very surprised how quickly she works and efficient she is with her time. She also includes you in as much or as little of the design process as you like. I wanted to be a part of everything because I wanted to learn, but I would have trusted her to make every decision without me there - and that is saying something since I'm very picky and have a very specific way I like things to look! I could not have dreamed a better experience in working with Suzanna. In fact, we are more open-minded for the next house we buy because we know we can use her to help us update it and make it our own! We can't wait to work with her again!
