They fixed my cleaning mistake on a mid century teak coffee table! The Austin humidity had created a mold stain under an empty coffee mug I left out too long, and I tried to use vinegar to scrub it out (bad idea). Lee and co were so knowledgeable and repaired the table in a matter of days. They matched the original stain and also applied a soft satin finish to better protect it. I'm happier with it now than I was before the stain. Thank you!

Lee did an outstanding job repairing a dining room table we had shipped from Argentina. Wood had split in several areas and was getting worse. Table looks great and we are very pleased.

I'm a bit late in my review! Sorry Lee! I highly recommend Fine Wood Repair. My vintage coffee table turned into a chew toy for my new puppy. I honestly thought my table was done for until I came across this Yelp business listing and took my table in for repairs. My coffee table came out beautiful! Lee and his team was pleasant to work with.

Before- finish scratched on the harp's knee block

Fine Wood Repair did an excellent job repairing the finish on my harp. It was not easy finding a repair shop locally that would even work on a valuable instrument like mine and as you can imagine, repair shops that specialize in harps are pretty rare (only a few in the entire country) so I was pleased when I finally found Fine Wood Repair and they were willing to help me. Lee was easy to work with, knowledgeable, and I knew that his care and attention to antique pieces of furniture meant that my precious harp would be in safe hands. Lee and his staff sanded down the scratches and dents on knee-block, filled it in with epoxy and shaped it to fit the curve, and refinished it to match 100% perfectly with the original finish of the harp. Looking at it now, you could not tell there was ever any scratches or dents there. Will definitely use them again if I have any other cosmetic work that needs to be done on one of my harps, and will recommend to my harpist friends if they need any work done on their instruments too!

This is after Lee worked his magic. Lee also sealed the top to prevent future problems.

Lee is amazing! I didn't think my cabinet was salvageable. I tried at least five other wood repair companies and no one would touch this project. Everyone claimed it would be impossible to match the paint. Leeanne (I think that's her name, she works for Lee) was responsive and sent an estimate of $450, but she thought the end cost would be lower. I ended up only paying $270 with paint and my cabinet looks good as new. Plus, the service was excellent.

Before Fine Wood Repair fixed my bowl/platter.

Let me first start off with saying how completely satisfied I am with Fine Wood Repair and I would HIGHLY recommend this service to anyone!!! I bought this large wooden bowl/platter when I was in Tanzania visiting a few weeks ago. The bowl was fashioned out of a natural full piece of wood. The person you crafted it into the bowl had done so keeping the natural elements of the wood grain, holes, and knots. I loved it from the moment I payed eyes upon it. The only thing I didn't like was this bird that had been carved into the wood to make it look like it was perched on the bowl. Well, I packed it in my luggage on my way home and it split in half somewhere along the journey. It was so disheartening. Still, I figured it could be mended since it was one clean break. I looked on Yelp and Fine Wood Repair came highly recommended. I contacted Lee and he was very timely in his response and gave me a fair quote. I dropped it off and he had it fixed a week later as scheduled. He also removed the dang bird, which I was not in love with. Lee is such a friendly and competent man. You'll be very satisfied with his workmanship and his attention to detail!!

Not sure if this could be repaired...

Advanced Bathtub - Excellent work! Looks brand new!

Wow! I thought the shower in my investment property was so bad I thought I'd have to tear it out…read morecompletely. The tenants tore it up so bad and it looked so disgusting I didn't even take a before pic of it. So thankful I found Advance refinish! I reached out explaining I needed someone urgently and they fit me in their schedule asap. We easily communicated via text which is very important to me because I'm always on the go juggling dozens of contractors at once so it's so helpful when businesses can communicate in a way that works best for the client. The day of, I got texts of when the technician was on the way which was helpful. He was respectful, worked hours straight and my shower ended up looking brand new and far beyond what I could imagine it to look like. I was incredibly impressed. I do a lot of remodeling projects and I'll no doubt reach out again; they will be my go-to for sure. Highly recommend!

Update November 2024: Following my negative review, Jeff…read morecontacted me. He sent Juan and Leticia, who stripped the bathtub and refinished it. They seemed careful and tidy. It took them 3+ hours. The finish is nice and shiny. I hope it lasts a long time. Our experience with Advanced Bathtub in 2023 was horrible. Technician D***** maybe had ADD focus issues. In any case, he worked fast and loose and skipped preparation steps. He mixed the epoxy paint wrong, probably too much solvent, such that the curing paint pulled up from inside corners, and retracted and split on horizontal countertop surface. Jeff kept sending him back to re-do, and he kept screwing it up. He worked without a ventilation fan. I'm not sure if he was more mental or more stoned from inhaling solvent. The paint is completely peeling up from the bottom of the tub 18 months later. Evidently the tub surface was not roughened enough prior to paint application. I don't know if the tech even cleaned the surfaces, much less roughened them. He painted right over dirt and dust on the tile.
