Tabitha quickly responded to my inquiries about getting work done on several pieces of furniture. She came to the house and did some initial repairs on the trimwork on a large antique cabinet. Her pricing for the work was reasonable and the quality is excellent. Additionally, I delivered to her a round wooden breakfast table that needed to be stripped and restained and an old bed frame that had a broken spindle between the posts. She completed the work according to the estimated schedule and the quality was excellent. I was very pleased with the work she did for us and will contact her again when other projects come up. She was very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend her for anyone needing furniture refinishing work or furniture repairs.

(I also called a mobility store who never got back to me.) We discussed the troubleshooting I had already done and we agreed it had to be either the control box or base motor. He came out the following Monday with a tester and determined it was indeed the control box. He ordered the part while he was here and kept me updated while it was in transit. Delivery was delayed due to weather so didn't arrive until late Friday. He came on Sunday to install it for me. He's respectful and honest. He doesn't upcharge on the cost of the part and installation was very reasonable. I will be calling him again if I have any problems with any of my furniture!!

He gives excellent advice and quickly determines what actually needs to be done. One thing I especially like is that he asks you to text photos of the item needing repair, along with pictures of any broken pieces. He did this with our recliner and was able to identify the exact parts that needed to be ordered before arriving. Once the parts came in, he repaired the chair in just a couple of hours -- as well as the leather split on the headrest of the chair, all in one visit. He is dependable, extremely knowledgeable, and clearly very talented at any project he takes on.

We recently needed our wood kitchen table re-finished and we found Austin Woodwright hidden away…read moredown on South Lamar. The finish on the kitchen table had become very sticky over the years and there didn't appear to be any easy way to get that fixed. Over time, the extra extensions for the table had even faded to a slightly different shade. Robert at Austin Woodwright gave us a really good assessment, stated what he could do, and gave us a couple of alternatives for the finish. Several weeks later, the table was done and was gorgeous. The table top and extensions looked like new, same shade, and a nice hard lacquered finish (he told us what he used, but I forget now). Anyway, thumbs up. We'll be bringing some other pieces down over the coming months. For what it's worth, this type of service can be pricey, but the work, the result, and the service were worth it. Finally, to say this place is hidden off the road is an understatement.. the road sign is very small, and it's very easy to drive by on the way south. The shop is back off the road in a little turn-about with several other small businesses.
